The Gen Z triggered a revolution which very nearly toppled Ruto, this is when the West approached Raila to stave off a possible collapse of the country. The discourse centered on the question: Ruto/Gachagwa are being toppled, who takes over the reins of power; are the Gen Z capable of running a country; without IEBC can there be a constitutional change of leadership in the country? Did you know that the constitution doesn't allow the removal of both the president, his deputy and parliament at the same time? There is so much misplaced synergy on Raila! Last time I checked.. Ruto is the president of Kenya, who commands all structures of governance, not Raila! The Gen Z triggered a revolution which very nearly toppled Ruto, this is when the West approached Raila to stave off a possible collapse of the country. The discourse centered on the question: Ruto/Gachagwa are being toppled, who takes over the reins of power; are the Gen Z capable of running a country; without IEBC can there be a constitutional change of leadership in the country? Does anyone favour a Military takeover? With the country staring at uncertainty the power sharing was arrived at amicably, as the best way forward. My humble question to those mounting a crescendo of criticism of Raila, is Raila stopping Gen Z from their revolution? Does Raila control the structures of power? Those critical of Raila’s involvement in the power structure are simply misunderstanding what we are facing in the country, and I don’t blame them coz government is a complex matter. Let’s remember that Raila stopped KANU dictatorship; brought Multi partysm; brought the new Constitution with Devolution; has suffered all his adult life for the country! What’s amazing is the fact that his incorporation into the government seems to have quelled Maandamano.. which begs a hypothetical question: Is the Gen Z revolution riding on Raila’s genre of fighting for the people of Kenya?
