I have a full Hydros System on my 180 Gallon Saltwater tank but I use it's brain to communicate with a HYDROS auto fish feeder and HYDROS WiFi power strip on my 75 Gallon Cichlid freshwater tank, all on the same app.. I'm inspired by this video to give my Freshwater tank some love. Great video and presenting! I'm now a new subscriber.
@@jimmynewbiereefer Jimmy, I was inspired by his setup as well. I'm planning on making some changes to Alcatraz soon. I love seeing other people's setups! Thanks for the kind words!
They are beautiful tanks, that’s exactly why I love African cichlid’s.Bit to high tech for me but they are stunning looking tanks. David your tanks are just as amazing and beautiful too matey. Love it when people want to take their tanks to absolute perfection. Just beautiful.
Yeah it stresses me out just thinking about hooking all that up lol. Thank you, Stefanos. I'm going to do some changing to the scape soon. Nothing too major though.
Love watching your fish! My brother and I had somewhere over 6,000 gallons of Rift Lake Cichlids(all three lakes) back in the Dark Ages(1970-1983)! Key words in our wholesale/resale operation:CHILL! (Relax) and most important WATER CHANGE! Blessed with San Diego Rock we didn’t even own a test kit! You can and will worry yourself crazy trying to be a chemist! The fish will let you know! I married a woman that won’t allow more than a glass of water 💦 in the house! Count your blessings with the spouse you have! Last word: ENJOY! Keep up the good displays! I live through your set-ups and a few others! Shalom!
Holy crap-o-la, Dan's aquariums and fish are like you keep saying STUNNING, I'm totally jealous of his tech closet puts my small spot in my den so much into shame, I want a room with a sink water etc. Dan you're a beast when it comes to this hobby, and I want to sit and watch your tanks all day long. Thanks for another great video, can't wait to see what you have for us on Mbunas my Jalo Reef is in his full colors now that ManMan the jerk is gone but the dud Salvini "Sal" is top dog with the Jack Dempsy "Jack" (which could be the mystery mama to the fry I found) close behind, well it's a battle between the 3, nothing to the death like ManMan did so I put up their riots. Again, thanks for the cool videos!
U asked if we see a more beatiful tank? Yeah. I watch it every single day🤩it s in my living room. Using every single trick to keep them happy and well. And as close as possible to their environment.
I can’t thank you enough for your videos, life saver. Currently the topic I was looking for as im dealing with Ph issue as well as we speak. beautiful tank, beautiful fish.
No, thank YOU for watching them! Yeah, I wish my water was a lower pH. The Americans seem to be doing fine, but it could take it's toll insidiously over time. I agree about the tanks -- so beautiful!
@@MrRonnydollar I wouldn't chase the PH, if your fish are doing fine in there just let them be, is better to have consistency than fluctuations. Your fish will appreciate it.
@@GabrielHernandez-if7yh thanks for the advice, I have noticed that the fish were flashing and rubbing and PH can be the cause after of cause treating them with a round of parasites( Ick X, paracleanse, prazipro)and bacteria( Melafix, Marocyn)treatment, Ph was my last issue to resolved. the rubbing and flashing has reduced tremendously but I noticed a few are still finding their ways to the sand. No sign of parasites, bacteria or fungal, I tested the Ph and realize it was low 7.4 to 7.6.

Great tanks. I just started mine about a month a half ago. I have mostly Mbunas (12) and I have peacocks (5) is a 75 gallon, so far no aggression in my tank between my maniacs. Only a Jalo reef that is a prick to everyone sometimes. I love your tanks, your personal ones I mean.
All the rocks in the mbuna tanks are Top Fin Gray Stacked Rock Aquarium Ornaments from Petsmart. They come in two different sizes. In the 130g cube tank, I have cut some into pieces and then stacked them up higher, connecting them together with Seachem CoralCrete grey epoxy, and the rocks are all siliconed down to a piece of acrylic so they do not topple over when the fish dig all the sand out from around the bases. There are six total ornaments in that structure. In the 60g pentagon tank, two pieces are stock sizes, large and small, and then I cut the bottom off of a third ornament to make the short one in the foreground.
What do you think of these high tech tanks? Do you use any high tech equipment?

I wonder if Sal will give you some of those male colors eventually. I hope so! Thanks, Polly.
Awesome video and intrigued by that system! Hading to lunch and to enjoy your next video before going to my lfs to see what’s in stock

is there any action you currently taking to stabilize your PH?
@@MrRonnydollargood question. Not at this time. I don't like tannins so I don't add driftwood or leaves and I don't chase the pH.

where can i find Dan ? on youtube , insta any way please , i love hid tanks
Not sure about that.
Your peacock tank is amazing I don’t care for mbunas they do nothing for me

I will love to know where he got those large pieces of fake rocks.
All of the fake rocks are from aquadecor
Actually the mbuna rocks came from Petco or PetSmart I believe.
