Marie Antoinette died in 1793 and De Beers was founded in 1888 so they must have time-traveled to create Marie Antoinette's diamond necklace. The truth is that necklace never belonged to Marie Antoinette.
@@srkh8966 they literally place an audio clip of a woman saying "this lavish necklace once belonged to Marie Antoinette" over a picture of her and one of the necklace.
Right. He said the necklace was named after Marie Antoinette, she was never the owner. The quick voiceover was lifted from a documentary that was talking about some jewels and necklaces that she smuggled out with her but were found after her execution but have since been list and/or stolen during the Reign of Terror. They want you to think the woman is speaking of this specific necklace, I guess. Same with the Mrs. Winston necklace from Harry Winston
EXCUISITE RUBY. That took my breath away. I saw the Emeralds, and of course the magnificent Diamonds. But the heart shaped Ruby was indescribable. The Color, the placement, etc. is Perfect. And the various usages in necklace and rings, bracelet, etc. are extraordinary. Wonderful to View!
7:02 Edward VIII did not "miss out on being the king of England." He WAS the king of England until he abdicated. 9:17 Also, you never actually showed the Heart of Kingdom Ruby, instead showing some dinky little ring and a necklace that is something else entirely. Also, DITCH THIS NARRATOR
There was indeed an important diamond necklace in the history of Marie Antoinette, but it was never owned by the Queen and in fact, led to her demise. In 1772, King Louis XV commissioned an outlandish diamond necklace from Parisian jewellers Boehmer and Bassenge as a gift to his mistress.
Note: Contrary to popular usage, "epicenter" does not mean "center." (We already have a word for that -- "center"!) It means "over the center" and it refers to the area of ground above an earthquake whose center is actually below ground. So the main diamond is definitely NOT in the "epicenter" of the bracelet.
What I wouldn’t do to own one of Those Rings…! I’m a Diamond Nut…! I Have bought & Sold Thousands of dollars of Diamond Rings!! After 40+ years, I Came across one that I Will Not be Selling or Trading, I go to jewelry stores just to look at the trends of the times, check out settings etc. there’s so much that goes into making one piece it’s crazy! These Rings are amazing and Exquisite !!
@8:18 You show Princess Katherina of Germany's Emerald Tiera, as well as a picture of her. This is not Victoria's Emerald Tiara, the description you give does not even match what you show in your video. Obviously, one can see 11 pear shaped emeralds, not 19 as you mention. This particular tiara last sold at auction to a private collector for $12.75 million.
I want the panther bracelet!!! It is so gorgeous, it would be one of my favorite's!!! The heart shaped ruby bracelet is also one of my favorite's!!! The blue diamond's are gorgeous!!! I'd like to have one of those for the center stone on my engagement ring!!! Wow!!! Could you imagine how lucky a woman would be to receive one of these??? I hope my man will get me one of these someday!!!
What kind of video production is this? Inconsistent and outright incorrect background on some pieces. The emerald tiara you show is a completely different tiara from the one you are referencing.
The Marie Antoinette neckline should make a definite fashion trend very very soon. Hopefully so I can wear the jewels that accentuate such depths of business!
The emerald tiara shown here is not Queen Victoria's emerald tiara! That one has a Gothic design, is more elaborate and has smaller emeralds. The one shown here belonged to Princess Katharina Henckel Von Donnersmarck.
Why talk about the jewel or jewelry piece only to not show the piece but show like ten other pieces that are "close enough" to what you should be really talking about? It is mind numbingly awful. There is this invention called the internet that you can use to get the actual image of what you are talking about that you could use.. So either use a genuine picture of the subject or use "good enough" pictures to slide on by. Which one would your viewers prefer? What you could do is type out a list of what you are talking about and have the viewer look up the pictures on their own. The dilemma of your choices must be difficult. HA!
#oddtopic the watch just shows that people have more money than sense. I would never own or wear it if I had the money. I can think of literally 40 million other ways to spend the money.
@@kathleenem9207 I agree with you. As my Grandmother would say, "that is just plain gaudy". But it goes to show, people love to take things way to far.
It is not disposable income. These pieces would sell for ever higher prices in auction. These are investment grade pieces. Nothing will be lost if any are resold
That natural forces that create such beauty is astonishing. That mankind can now do so in laboratories as well, is also remarkable. I cannot conceive of a time when beauty of any type would not be treasured. The cost is a reflection of their rarity and whatever the market will bear. I treasure my relatively inexpensive quartz, tiger's eye and agates. They also possess much beauty. Beauty of any kind lifts us above ourselves to marvel at the wonder of life. 🙂
I like ruby, it’s such a beautiful stone! I had earrings which my grandmother gifted me, but my elder brother was strange at his young age and has stolen them, so I didn’t enjoy wearing them. Diamonds are also beautiful, but I don’t like them much, may be because I never had them)).

Does anyone reviews and revises the images while editing????? You can’t be descriptive of a unique Bulgari ring with one blue and a white diamonds, and in between show several times a different blue Sapphire ring!!!
That is not Antoinette,s necklace. That kind of detail didnt exist at that time. Diamonds were not cut like they are today. Not much of the queens jewelry and possessions survived.

Completely agree.
So beautiful, but with the editing it sometimes is confusing on which particular piece of jewelry is being talked about.
