Mori was able to deliver a fighting game that has such a unique and wonderful charm to it. Thank you Mori for Blazblue, and let's hope Guilty Gear can continue striving for Both franchises (and hopefully Ragna in strive)
I'm sure it's more common than I can remember right now, but having the music start during the ArcSys logo is a good touch. Honestly this is my favorite FG opening, maybe my favorite game opening ever.
I used to thought Blazblue's writing was pretentious & wayyy too complex for no real reason, but up till recently I've been revisiting the franchise and starting to appreciate its uniqueness, especially in an age filled with isekai, slice of life and shonen manga, Blazblue really is a thing of its own. And it makes me sad knowing that we may never have a sequel.
When this game came out I was a huge Guilty Gear fanboy and I saw this game as "unworthy" of being a successor to Guilty Gear. Now looking back and seeing how ignorant I was, I have to say that I love BlazBlue for what it is, it's OWN game. Me back then had the completely wrong judgement of this game, trying to see it live up to 'Guilty Gear's standards' when from the beginning I should have just respected this game as just it's own thing.
Out of all of them; this is probably my favorite one next to chrono phantasma extend. Especial the entirety of the part at 0:50 with Ragna and Jin; the back and forth clashing combined with the music goes so hard I cant help but pause the screen and go "damn" each time.
I remember first seeing Ragna and being so infatuated with his design, big red coat, spikey white hair, baggy black pants, and the giant swotd on his back, since then this has always been one of my favorite franchises of all time
@@BlazinBlack109 The tone of the world felt very dreary. I mean hell, they're a seemingly unbreakable timeloop. Ragna is doomed to, unbeknownst to him, repeat his failure again and again. It think it was about Chronophantasma when the series took a turn towards being a little too silly. Not to say that it didn't already have its silly moments, but that was just comedic relief. When the plot said it was time to get series, it got serious.

Was really into this when it first came out. I bought the collectors edition for the 360. Came with the soundtrack. First fighting game i actually put in the time and learned the mechanics and combos. Made a bunch of friends playing this online. My Ragna was pretty good
When I first played this I thought kokonoe and hazama were playable till I found out later on they weren't playable until continuum shift and chronophantasma
I started to play recently, and i watched all the op's and this one, for me, its the best one by far. Its strange but this gave me nostalgia i dont know how but something makes me to keep listening to this, and im not going to stop play this OVER AND OVER AGAIN UNTIL I LOST ALL MY BRAINCELLS AND I CANT STAND THE SONG, and if i get tired of the song i always have the animation, which HOLY F*** this is so good for an old game. Sorry if i dont speak too well im spanish and all of that stuff, sorry, and i hope we get somehow the next big game of blazblue, i will wait til the end only to watch the game release and buy it, thanks.
