Very informative video Jason! In the video you mentioned you got an ultrasound guided IV certification. Was this through your employer/unit?
Thanks, Oliver! Yeah, they offered a class in my ER. We only had one instructor at the time but now I also teach the nurses in our department. You can ask the nurse educator or manager in your department about taking a class so you can get certified and then teaching it to other nurses in the hospital if you're interested.
Hi Oliver. In my case, I work for a teaching hospital, naturally they will have resources for IV insertion training and certification - usually through the education department.

You should just try and endorse your license to CA. Due to covid they have waived the requirements for studying again if you're foreign graduate nurse. Not entirely sure if they reinstated the requirements again. But a friend of mine just updated me the he just got his CA license last month. We were in the same situation before, but now we are here in CA.

SNF is where most nurses start out here and once you get out you realize you don't ever want to go back as either a nurse or a patient. When my wife first came here she wandered around Seafood City and spoke with people in scrubs to find someone to help her get her first job. The "Filipino nursing mafia" runs those places in California 😆.
