I would love to see a challenge where you get a friend to pick and wrap a few books for you where you can’t see the cover, title page, or spine and you read those books. That way you have absolutely no preconceived notions of the book.

I found that I absolutely love them but because I’m so new to these, I desperately needed recommendations and lists of books I should try. Especially since it is spooky season now. I wish we had more books about powerful plus size women. I would have loved it as a teen. I needed books like that as a teen. Anyways, I hope when you get to it, that you will love it too.
I strongly suggest the audiobook alongside Horrorstor. There are "commercials" that are so deliciously creepy interspersed with the book, and it's wonderful. The Troop has been on my list for so, so long. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it.

I listened to The Troop on audiobook and gagged several times 😅 I really enjoyed the book and no one was exaggerating when they said it was heavy on the body horror. Good luck! It really is a good one for October imo! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts

I have heard some people say that her thrillers are like thrillers for beginners but I have read a lot of thrillers and don't feel that way. Her books engage me right away and keep me interested the whole time.
