    Dude, you are amazing. Please dont misinterpret my meaning when i use the word "simple," but i have never seen a more beautiful cabin built with simple construction. What a nice cabin! I only WISH i could build such a place. What really amazed me was what all you were able to accomplish with no help from anyone. Thank you for sharing your work. God bless yall, & enjoy your new cabin in the woods!

    I watched the whole series of video's, this cabin has a simplistic, clean vibe (my opinion). it's a very cool cabin, great job on the building and a very good job on this fast track, version ! Can't wait for the next build.

  • @alive.off-grid

    So you used approximately 60 logs or trees.

    • @DIYDemasi
      @DIYDemasi  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Originally I was thinking 40-50, and I always wanted to count stumps in the spring when the snow melted but I never got up there to do it. But when I think about it 50-60 might be a better estimate. I did get quite a few trees that produced multiple log lengths. So the estimate is a little tough. But great question.

    This is *exactly* what I want to build on my land in Maine! I should have bought land closer (I live in Chicago) - tough to get enough time off to make any progress. But, dude, this was totally inspiring, thanks for adding all the extra time to the build to document it! I'll check out the long-form video too. Glad the algorithm brought me here, subscribed. Good luck on the next one!

      Thanks Josh! I hope you can get one built, it is quite satisfying work! It definitely helped the timeline that it was in my back yard. I appreciate the compliments! Those are what makes it worth filming! Thank you thank you!

    I am EXTREMELY very very concerned about wild fires. I would LOVE to move offgrid in the mountains but it is the wild fires that is extremely concerning. You are building a wooden structure... so I assume you are NOT in a wild fire prone area? What state or country is this in? I have been desperately trying to figure out where it is even possible for me to live a simple peaceful life offgrid in the mountains (where it's not humid in summers and snows in the winter because I need snow! and the property taxes are not CIMINALLY high like it is in Vermont!!! all property taxes are criminal but some states are worse than others) but the wild fires are massive worry!!! 😰

    • @DIYDemasi
      @DIYDemasi  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ironically the cabin is in Vermont! No worries about forest fires this year, just floods. Hope you find a nice little spot. Thanks for watching!

    Hey Guys. Looking Great! I noticed that you've built on SEVERAL LOCATIONS - because of the diverse locations - are You building on Public Lands. One Serious Question: Are these for your own "Personal Use" or in "DIRE EMERGENCY" 😮 If considered PRIVATE will the PUBLIC HAVE ACCESS to these Cabin Built on Public Land. . . .Undoubtedly, National Forest Employees will notify you... in the Event of LOST INDIVIDUALS who may have found shelter in your cabins ( Plural ). JUST TO BE CLEAR!! I LOVE YOUR WORK.
