I came across your film by accident. I have sent the link to all the Dominicans I know including one who share your last name ❤️. And shared it on IG. I was blessed to make this journey some 40 years ago as a school girl. I had never left London before. The trip was life changing and I cried when I had to leave. I aim to take my children and share their WI home with them. We really enjoyed your film. Thank you.
Thank you for watching and supporting my film 😊 I also thank you for sharing your touching story. I do hope you and your family get to return one day soon.
Thank you so much for making this! 😊 I am a third generation Dominican in the UK, so watching this really hit home. For my GCSE's I did a speaking presentation on Dominica, bringing in hand woven Kalinago baskets. It really made an impact on my class and so your film will definitely make a huge impact on wider society! Thank you again!
You're most welcome, Elisia. Thank YOU for watching the film and taking the time to leave a comment. I'm glad it touched you and I hope it inspires the wider generation as you say. Love, Richard
Enjoyed your film. It was well rounded. Glad you included hurricane Maria as the impact is still being felt by family members. I'm married to a Dominican 🇩🇲 in Canada 🇨🇦. I haven't been yet, but I look forward to visiting.
you have a family in Bradford city , if you didn't know my family also didn't go to 767 as a family either , and now all our grand parents have past away
That’s amazing Ashby. I hope we captured your beautiful grandma in a good light. She was the fitting symbol of home to close the film. I pray she is well and still with us
