The real hero of this scene? The lighting specialist. This scene is an A with the music, but without perfect lighting, it wouldn’t be an A+ scene. Bravo.
Fun fact: the cinematographer didn’t actually plan to light it that way. On the day of shooting itself, he lit it with just typical moonlight but felt that the lighting was bland. Then he decided to light it with a green tinge to replicate neon lights from buildings opposite. Thank god Damien went along with it, it’s one of the most iconic scenes for me just because of the lighting.
Yea whoever was in charge of that deserves more credit! :)) Also, I played a la la land piano medley- you'll hear mia & sebastian's theme, another day of sun, city of stars & the epilogue. Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/edRZC1j_YDg/w-d-xo.html I'd really appreciate it if you had a listen :)
The fact that this musical is not like the other typical romantic musicals just makes me feel that this is so real. It was a choice: They either got their dream career but lose the love, or get the love and lose the career. But sometimes I feel that it was the right sacrifice.
Perhaps, but if the movie involved them simply realizing their dreams, as they did in the end of the movie, and still be together, would that not be a boring movie? What would have been the purpose / message? It would have been a "everybody's happy" ending resembling more a Hallmark movie than anything else. Yes, this ending raises questions but I feel that is its entire purpose. Though it may frustrate some or disappoint others, the point is is that it sparked some discussion and thought. Whether it evoked anger or sorrow, the fact that it elicits emotion at all makes it a far better movie than a simple success story of two lovers achieving their career goals

Watched this again for the first time since I saw it in theaters during release, still a great film and holds up so well. It’s a shame that this didn’t win best picture at the Oscars. Has to be up there as one of my favorite movies ever.
My feelings exactly. I watched this with my wife when it came out. Just a few months earlier we had moved to another country, leaving family and friends behind to have better careers and a better work/life balance. This movie hit us like a ton of bricks, because we related so much to that choice of leaving important things behind in order to chase your dreams. And, just like you, this movie still moves me deeply.
I thought the movie was pretty realistic in the way their relationship progresses. Especially the ending was not as maybe expected from a typical romantic musical - that is why I thought it fits with cynical viewers too;)
HeikkiP what gets me is the tone and feel I mean i live in LA and just walking around and feeling that LA breeze is just how this movie feels. I just can't explain it I know it doesn't make sense but their something about this movie that keeps me coming back
the thing is this movie is so realistic. struggles. first impressions. relationships. the ending is so real and it really focuses on nowadays' society and what usually happens with a couple. also, their singing- it's not perfect which makes it even more amazing to the audience's ears, and they're not doing playback. they are singing while filming.
This movie changed me, two years ago I watched this masterpiece and realized that I wanted a dream, something to fight for, so I ended up studying art, directing, photography and acting, but at the end, I think that I fell in love with the way Mia looks at Sebastian, with the lights and the colors of the movie, with the soundtrack which melts my heart every time I listen to it, with every shot of the movie, I fell in love, deeply and purely. It also remember me that time when everything was going well, and that freaking feeling of childhood. I kinda miss that time. But now I am the best version of myself, and I’m the person that I dreamed to be, when I first watched this movie. So thanks La La Land, you gave me more than I could have imagined, more than I could ever wished for, and thanks to that friend who took me to the cinema to see a movie that I didn’t want to watch. (I’m sorry if there are some mistakes, but English is not my main language)
I was hanging out at the cinemas in the lobby when someone said la la land was really good on Twitter. There just happened to be a showing for it in the next 5 minutes. I bought a ticket and went in completely blind, I’d never even heard of the movie before. To this day it’s my favorite film of all time, and I see a lot of movies like 2 or 3 every weekend. I cried multiple times, to know that something so beautiful could even exist. It sparked a love for movies and musicals I didn’t even know I had. I’ve always wanted to learn piano and I started taking lessons that year. Still taking them and I’m planning on starting singing lessons soon. I’ve been pursuing the arts most of my life and this movie has inspired me in ways like never before.
I hope you mean the best version of yourself compared to your past. Keep improving yourself all the time, and never settle for less. Reach for the stars, for different dreams if you need to. And once you get there, keep going
"City of stars... you never shined so brightly"... Those lyrics, I think they sum up the whole song. It marks a turning point in the movie : both characters start seizing opportunities and take their careers a step forward. Both are doing what they think is best but by doing so, their paths start to diverge. You can hear so much denial in this song, it's all about the opportunities and life smiling at them, but they both know that their relationship will not be able to take it much longer. The faint smile and the sadness with which Mia sings that last lyric is so heartbreaking : she knows that sooner or later they will have to choose between their love for each other and their love for the dream they pursue. To me this is the song that best sums up the movie. When you listen to it you think everything is going alright for them but it's not, which makes this song paradoxical and much deeper than what it seems.
Thank God Ryan declined Beauty and the Beast for this. I can't think of someone who can play the role, who has the charm, and the talent that can show Emma's glow with their uncanny and effortless chemistry. I think Emma owned this song, she nailed this! While Ryan owned A Lovely Night, spotless! Not to mention the choreography, Mandy Moore take it to other level. The melody by Justin Hurwitz was spectacular. And oh my captain, my captain, God bless you Damien Chazelle! By far, for me, the best romantic and/or musical film for at least the 21st century.
City of stars Are you shining just for me? City of stars There's so much that I can't see Who knows? I felt it from the first embrace I shared with you That now our dreams They've finally come true City of stars Just one thing everybody wants There in the bars And through the smokescreen of the crowded restaurants It's love Yes, all we're looking for is love from someone else A rush A glance A touch A dance To look in somebody's eyes To light up the skies To open the world and send them reeling A voice that says, I'll be here And you'll be alright I don't care if I know Just where I will go 'Cause all that I need's this crazy feeling A rat-tat-tat on my heart... Think I want it to stay City of stars Are you shining just for me? City of stars You never shined so brightly
I saw this movie in theaters with my best friend. She's gorgeous, brilliant I was in love, but I was shy and insecure. Now, I'm in a relationship, and she's gonna get married on December with another man, and here I stand, like a fool, haunted by the bitterness of wasted opportunities. Update : Wow, so many comments and likes :D Don't worry guys, I'm all good. Like all things, time healed my wounds, I found a wonderful girl, and my friend is still a great friend. She's happy, married, and is now a mother, and I'm happy, soon to be married, and I have no doubt I'll be a father some day. Take care, and thank you all for your kind words !
I agree, especially Ryan Gosling! The fact that his voice sounds like a real person and not a celebrity with years of vocal coaching makes his character that much more sincere and endearing.
Hey, we made a high school musical performance for this song! please watch, and i would be so happy if you comment also! th-cam.com/video/BfvVcD7r-ck/w-d-xo.html much love
Hello! I recently made a movie montage about Mia and Seb, it's my way of showing my love for La La Land and to how painfully beautiful this story is. If you could watch it and like the video, it would mean the world to me! Thank you th-cam.com/video/5GY6DM76fYk/w-d-xo.html
I love that Damien Chazelle used this take where Ryan flubs the lyrics a bit at 2:10. The two of them laughing it off immediately after feels so natural and warm, perfect for Mia and Sebastian. One of those unexpected little gifts that actors with great chemistry can find when they're "in the moment."
If you see behind the scenes, this was actually a rehearsal scene, not the actual scene. But the cameras were recording it and the director liked it so he put it into the movie.
Me and my girlfriend broke up a week after watching this film. I have the soundtrack on my Ipod and generally love it, or at least i loved it when I was in a relationship. I've tried to find the right word to describe what this film means to me now. Having broken up after 3 and a half years. I can't listen to the songs the same way or even comprehend watching this film ever again, It haunts me..
Mike Frander Same here, I went to the movies and watched this with my exgf and we broke after 2 years and 8 months of relationship and the music and the scenes from this movie still haunt me
I know, right?! Definitely underrated, but thankfully, extremely appreciated by people like us. This is not being said "lightly" like so many others. SO appreciate your comment.

This is where it started. The unforeseen beginning of the crack in their relationship. When both of them took their careers a step forward, not knowing the consequences :(
Firelord Zuko I thought about the same thing not really knowing why some people find this scene so sweet and so happy. I take this as a pre-evaluation period in their lives, like they know what's about to happen since they were now making their dreams come true and this is some sort of in denial stage they're in at that moment. I literally cried so hard when Seb sings the part of "I think I want it to stay".
Yeah I had to imagine that somehow Mia fell madly in love in Paris with the guy she ended up marrying - the movie producer? How exactly did that happen? Seemed like a crucial part of the movie ended up on the cutting room floor in order to justify a bittersweet ending.
[Sebastian:] City of stars Are you shining just for me? City of stars There's so much that I can't see Who knows? I felt it from the first embrace I shared with you [Mia:] That now our dreams They've finally come true City of stars Just one thing everybody wants There in the bars And through the smokescreen of the crowded restaurants It's love Yes, all we're looking for is love from someone else [Sebastian:] A rush [Mia:] A glance [Sebastian:] A touch [Mia:] A dance [Both:] A look in somebody's eyes To light up the skies To open the world and send it reeling A voice that says, I'll be here And you'll be alright I don't care if I know Just where I will go 'Cause all that I need is this crazy feeling A rat-tat-tat on my heart [Sebastian:] Think I want it to stay City of stars Are you shining just for me? City of stars [Mia:] You never shined so brightly
when i watched the movie for the first time i didn't cry but in the second time i did ... La la land is a deep movie need to be followed carefully , IT'S A MUSICAL MASTERPIECE !
The world of cartoon me too but I cried the first after I heard city of stars and interperretd its lyrics, my eyes are still numb and I ain't ashamed of it
I didn't get all those 'sad ending' buzzes the first time I saw it. Now, 3 years after I saw it, I'm starting to understand the tragedy of it and sometimes even cry just by listening to the songs or recalling the plot of the movie. This movie is Goddamn relatable now.

Watched this in theaters when I was in high school by myself because I was feeling down that day. My first time going to a movie theater by myself, and I will never forget that experience. I'm so glad it was this movie I watched that day.
this touched my heart.. Love the storyline of this movie.. my heart shattered when I saw she realized he named the bar actually Sebb's and when they saw each other.. :( This song is stuck in my head for like a week now..

Una delle piu belle ed emozionanti canzoni che abbia sentito negli ultimi anni......ha vinto l oscar e se l è meritato...complimenti a chi l ha creata...SALUTI DALL ITALIA
Watching "La La Land" for the first time with my boyfriend was one of the happiest moments of my life. We were so in love, and everything felt perfect. But now, as I look back on that memory, I can't help but feel a sense of overwhelming sadness. Our love was never enough to bridge the gap between us, the gap created by our different religions. As we continue down this path, I can feel our relationship crumbling under the weight of our differences. It's as if we're slowly becoming Seb and Mia, doomed to part ways despite our love for each other. The pain I feel is indescribable. It's the kind of pain that eats away at you, leaving you feeling hollow and alone. How can I bear the thought of breaking his heart, of destroying all the plans and dreams we shared together? The dream of our little family, the future we saw for ourselves, all of it now seems like a cruel joke. I know in my heart that we're closer than ever to the end, and it breaks me to think that we won't be able to make it work. I wish with every fiber of my being that things could be different, that our love could conquer all. But the reality is that it can't, and it tears me apart inside. Every day I wake up wishing I could be with him, but deep down, I know that it's time to let go. It hurts more than I could have ever imagined, but I know it's what's best for us both. this is for you fir
Why are you curious about this? I'm embarrassed. Because my English is not very good, I don't think I can communicate well. It's not just a music movie, it's a love movie that leaves a big impression on me. It reminds me of past love. And It reminded me of my painful heart when the love was going away. So I couldn't get up and cry until the ending credits were over.
This movie is a perfect example of how your goals and dreams are more important than your partner. I’ve learned over the years that people come and go. Even people who you believed would stay with you forever. But I’ve learned to find out who is really there for me and not let a friendship that is no more to stop me from pursuing my dreams.
Gracias Hurwitz, Chazelle, Gosling, y Stone

City of stars You never shined so brightly
The lyric said it all: “to open the world and send them reeling, a voice that says, I‘will be here (Seb) and you’ll be alright. I don’t care if I know just where I will go ‘Cause all that I need’s this crazy feeling A rat-tat-tat on my heart think I want it to stay” one stays, one left and came back later as a different person, but they will always have that crazy love for each other.
i love this movie too freaking much. the fact that they exhibited what would happen irl even though its sad and not what most people would want for the ending just makes me love it more.
They have inspired each other with their big love to achieve their goals/dreams , they appeared in each others lives for a short period, very memorable and meaningful. Without their love that huge success probably wouldn’t be possible to reach.

I really love this song and scene. Mia finally find "the place where she find who she's gonna be"(I'm not sure she knows she's there at that time). Seb finally find someone he can sacrifice the future he wants for to make her dream come true.
what is the purest thing of this scene to me is how he looks to her in the end. during the whole scene (without completely remembering the film) i try to find out whether they play their roles or are just emma and ryan in this moment, but this smile is real. i'm a singer (not a professional one) and every time i sang with a friend playing guitar or piano, they gave me this look afterwards. this happens when you realize how good a moment was that you created together.

At first when I saw the ending, my heart was drenched in pain. Yet, I feel it's a natural course that their relationship must go through. In reality, we will always try to have it all but not all of us will be that lucky. I think the ending was perfect not only because it's realistically painful and beautiful, but it also reminds us that a Love left unfinished would be one of the best memories in life that we would ever get to experience. I know it's not what we expect, but I'd also think that from such breaking point, we'd learn to know what we truly hold dear to ourselves most and would not take anything for granted. Their break-up is symbolic because of this message, imo. Brutally beautiful piece of art, isn't Love always?
3:26 Thus scene always gets to me. As soon as Mia sees the “CLOSED” sign, the music immediately tones down, and the optimistic tone of the movie fades away. I feel like the “CLOSED” was meant to symbolize the beginning of the end of Mia and Sebastian, since everything went downhill from there and that theater was where their love first blossomed
Three years now but every time I watch this movie, watch a scene from this movie or, hell, listen to the soundtrack- I am just filled with undivided love for this cinematic MASTERPIECE

When I watched the movie for the first time I honestly didn't know what to expect but I realized 20 minutes into the movie that it'd be one of my favorites and I was right, I could really feel a connection. Oh God I don't want to cry again but I love this movie so much 😭
I remember listening to this song while watching the movie with my wife, we where waiting for our first little star to come at that time. We where wandering how our lives will be after her birth.... 5 years later I'm listening to this again but now we are four! This song makes me feel so happy!
This made me cry.... I have no motivation today. When I watched this for the first time, I was on the airplane to Melbourne. I was just 16 and everything was shining for me. Filled with excitement in the night plane 😭🛫 Now I started to see this world darker and sadder idk why, maybe because I've grown up. Maybe my mind is at tired, but this video made me warm. I hope someday I'll have much hope like before ❤️
I was thinking about that too, but for me it was like that scene when she saw him and glimpsed another life. I don't know, but for me it was a way of give them the oscar, but not really. I don't think they would just get confused.
Such a nice video. The laughing and “what?” when she sings “the crowded restaurants” and the laughing when she says “a rat tat tat” makes it so cute like they are composing the song right then and there. A very romantic song.
amazing movie. spectacular cinematography, original and innovative, I dare say. this movie strikes you deep in and leaves you a sign. I really think that this is one of my favorite film ever. actors are so great, also the soundtrack and the scenography. it was made a very good job in there. they put their dreams of the future careers in front of everything that they have forgotten what they had and what is really important. I appreciate a lot the end. it is very significant. the scene where you can see what had could happened if they didn't had that hurry to make dreams come true, leaving the most important thing, is so beautiful and the last scene where they smile to each other can be interpreted in different ways. that's really an amazing movie.
Damn, same here...my two kids fall asleep with 3 versions of this song on Spotify. I just played this scene and on first couple of keys, they ran up to me and ask what are you doing ✌️
Just how fast the night changes. I haven't sung it to him in so long now 🥺 whenever I offer he declines and I can't really blame him for it. 'M not a great singer 😂 But thanks for the comment that brought me back today and reminded me of it. I might try it again tomorrow. 🤞
Hey, we made a high school musical performance for this song! Pleaaase watch, and i would be so happy if you comment also! th-cam.com/video/BfvVcD7r-ck/w-d-xo.html
People who have done things in their lives and are of some age (like me), seeing this film and especially this scene, surely have the questions you say... It's how you have anxiety within yourself, not letting the time pass and live and dream as you want. That's what these two kids did. The realization of their dreams paid the cost of not being together. As the story was staged, if they stayed together, the girl would still sell coffees and the boy would play the music he did not like, they would be together for a while, and then the non-satisfaction of their individual ambitions would bring the separation. This is also a possible turn of the story. However, this film - which I saw tonight - is simply amazing in all respects.
i lost my love at 22. i chose to let go cause we're both girls and her family will never ever accept us. city of stars is our fav song ever, we used to sing it together in my room, and since i left every single day my head automatically hums the song's melody. if she ever saw this comment, i apologize for all the things that happened. wherever you are, i hope u'll always remember us as the way i do. i miss you Bontanie.
I remembered this poem when I saw this movie “Peole can say what they want For they've got nothing to lose Why should we care what they say or do We must live life as we choose For tonight come ride along with me Don't be afraid of what we feel Now's the time when only love is real Lovers and fools can dream the world away Lovers and fools love only day by day Now we're together and tomorrow let them say We're lovers or we're fools Love is a dream here today But who knows when dreams are gone While we are here we must both belive That the dream goes on and on For tonight is all eternity For tonight there's only you and me Open your heart and close your mind And we'll leave our yesterdays behind Lovers and fools can dream the world away Lovers and fools live only day be day Now we're together and tomorrow let them say We're lovers or we're fools Lovers and fools can dream the world away Lovers and fools live only day be day Now we're together and tomorrow let them say We're lovers or we're fools”
I must have watched this movie twice in theater, but now watching this scene again after a long time, I think this is the moment the film truly reveals it truly meaning. Both of them, why deeply in love, value the pursuit of their dreams much more. Even when their dreams put them at a difficult place (Seb selling out, Mia losing stability), they still do what must be done to achieve it and lose each other in the journey. That is heartbreaking, but it make me respect people who go all in for their dreams, unlike me who's always too scared to step on the path that really matters.
The real hero of this scene? The lighting specialist. This scene is an A with the music, but without perfect lighting, it wouldn’t be an A+ scene. Bravo.
I agree - however, I can also imagine this being the backdrop of a ghost horror movie
Fun fact: the cinematographer didn’t actually plan to light it that way. On the day of shooting itself, he lit it with just typical moonlight but felt that the lighting was bland. Comments like these make me appreciate the detail
There were also post production editing of the scenes too :)
The fact that this musical is not like the other typical romantic musicals just makes me feel that this is so real. It was a choice: They either got their dream career but lose the love, or get the love and lose the career. But sometimes I feel that it was the right sacrifice.
Eric LC As much as I love the film something always tells me the ending is wrong just completely wrong their is no fucking reason for them to break up
wolfgirl That is exactly why I love the movie and how it ended because it was very realistic.
Whether it evoked anger or sorrow, the fact that it elicits emotion at all makes it a far better movie than a simple success story of two lovers achieving their career goals

go and watch 5 centimeters per second
i know is heart breaking the end of the movie but that is life, not always you got the whole package
you NEVER get the whole package
Albert Houry not with that attitude you won't :)
Albert Houry yep
they have their own dream career, that is enough
I didn't think the ending was heartbreaking. It was lot more accurate than the inevitable perfect ending that we always see in movies.
years later this is still my favorite song !!
agreed rashid

One of the most beautiful things about this is how Emma looks at Ryan. I'm a cynical person, but I fell in love with this movie
maybe that's why
I think there might be other reasons
I thought the movie was pretty realistic in the way their relationship progresses. Especially the ending was not as maybe expected from a typical romantic musical - that is why I thought it fits with cynical viewers too;)
I still wanted them to end up back together in the end, but I didn't have a problem with the ending

the thing is this movie is so realistic. struggles. first impressions. relationships. the ending is so real and it really focuses on nowadays' society and what usually happens with a couple. also, their singing- it's not perfect which makes it even more amazing to the audience's ears, and they're not doing playback. they are singing while filming.
totally agree!
It nearly killed me when they broke up

Overrated af. There are a hundred other better movies in the same genre. You just need to look at other languages movies. Good songs though.
TheFourthWinchester can u suggest some of these movies to me? Any musical u think it's good?
@@RancidRandalI hope you're still doing those lessons and hope you're fine :)

_"When two people love each other and can't make it work, that's the real tragedy"_
When you listen to it you think everything is going alright for them but it's not, which makes this song paradoxical and much deeper than what it seems.
certainly
Indeed.
True.

Crash the wedding. When they say anyone oppose then say me
After that day you will never get another chance ,and you will think about how your life would have been if you didn’t let her know how you feel.
It's been a month, how are you doing my man ?
Tell me her fb or insta. I'll tell

Hmm, i dont think thats average, but yeah
Thats love!
Average?😂um nope
Above average, but not perfect
they "acting" average😂
I agree, especially Ryan Gosling! The fact that his voice sounds like a real person and not a celebrity with years of vocal coaching makes his character that much more sincere and endearing.
An absolute masterpiece of a movie. Sheer perfection. Deserved every accolade and award that came it's way and probably should have won more.
I watched this and Moonlight and I think La La Land is the better movie by a landslide
Both films are completely different, and IMO can't even be compared.

I really really love that moment! Feels so natural and in-character
Do you think its intended?
If you see behind the scenes, this was actually a rehearsal scene, not the actual scene. But the cameras were recording it and the director liked it so he put it into the movie.

That "Closed" sign on the Rialto cinema says it all actually, prescience of what will happen next.
in order to gain something u have to lose somethings too
This is the exact same reason why this movie didn't clicked for me. The change of course in their relationship was unjustified.
Yeah I had to imagine that somehow Mia fell madly in love in Paris with the guy she ended up marrying - the movie producer? How exactly did that happen? Seemed like a crucial part of the movie ended up on the cutting room floor in order to justify a bittersweet ending.
cried like a baby in the cinema until the end credits finished rolling. Almost 5 years later and this is still my favourite movie of all time :’)

I believe that never i can get over this movie. Your music, the scenes with me are wonderfull. I learned the lyrics from this song.

This movie is a perfect example of how your goals and dreams are more important than your partner. I’ve learned over the years that people come and go. Even people who you believed would stay with you forever. But I’ve learned to find out who is really there for me and not let a friendship that is no more to stop me from pursuing my dreams.
The tragedy of this movie is all it's charm, and that's why it's the best movie..

i love this movie too freaking much. the fact that they exhibited what would happen irl even though its sad and not what most people would want for the ending just makes me love it more.
They have inspired each other with their big love to achieve their goals/dreams , they appeared in each others lives for a short period, very memorable and meaningful. Without their love that huge success probably wouldn’t be possible to reach.

what is the purest thing of this scene to me is how he looks to her in the end. during the whole scene (without completely remembering the film) i try to find out whether they play their roles or are just emma and ryan in this moment, but this smile is real. i'm a singer (not a professional one) and every time i sang with a friend playing guitar or piano, they gave me this look afterwards. this happens when you realize how good a moment was that you created together.

Rex DiPietro, yeah, it’s best
yo you missed the ending tho
3:26 Thus scene always gets to me. As soon as Mia sees the “CLOSED” sign, the music immediately tones down, and the optimistic tone of the movie fades away. I feel like the “CLOSED” was meant to symbolize the beginning of the end of Mia and Sebastian, since everything went downhill from there and that theater was where their love first blossomed
Apart from the music, the choreographies of the cameras in this movie are spectacular.

amazing movie. spectacular cinematography, original and innovative, I dare say. this movie strikes you deep in and leaves you a sign.

Esta canción es jodidamente buena, esta canción me da la sensación de esperanza, la esperanza de que la mujer perfecta está por ahí en algún lugar
Beautiful song by talented actors and singers.
I remembered this poem when I saw this movie
“Peole can say what they want
For they've got nothing to lose
Why should we care what they say or do
We must live life as we choose
For tonight come ride along with me
Don't be afraid of what we feel
Now's the time when only love is real
Lovers and fools can dream the world away
Lovers and fools love only day by day
Now we're together and tomorrow let them say
We're lovers or we're fools
Love is a dream here today
But who knows when dreams are gone
While we are here we must both belive
That the dream goes on and on
For tonight is all eternity
For tonight there's only you and me
Open your heart and close your mind
And we'll leave our yesterdays behind
Lovers and fools can dream the world away
Lovers and fools live only day be day
Now we're together and tomorrow let them say
We're lovers or we're fools
Lovers and fools can dream the world away
Lovers and fools live only day be day
Now we're together and tomorrow let them say
We're lovers or we're fools”
I must have watched this movie twice in theater, but now watching this scene again after a long time, I think this is the moment the film truly reveals it truly meaning.
Both of them, why deeply in love, value the pursuit of their dreams much more. Even when their dreams put them at a difficult place (Seb selling out, Mia losing stability), they still do what must be done to achieve it and lose each other in the journey. That is heartbreaking, but it make me respect people who go all in for their dreams, unlike me who's always too scared to step on the path that really matters.
I don't know why but I cry every time I hear this song. I love this movie.
Happy New Year ! Just coming back here to thank the song that helped me get through 2020 and damn it was a rough year.
