I was lucky enough to see Darren sing this during an afternoon "soundcheck" before an evening concert at the Manchester Lowry. It was fan club members only for the soundcheck and there were about 40 of us sat in the front row of the otherwise empty auditorium. We were simply blown away hearing Darren perform this song live right in front of us and after he finished there was absolute stunned silence.
I can remember some his live performances from his early days when he toured .... and I can say with a fair amount of certainty that his voice in recent years seems to transcended into something quite extraordinary and rare. Few live vocalists can sing at this level of talent and range. Hope he keeps putting out live performances ... his duet with Gary Barlow during his "crooner sessions" during the Covid shutdown was one of the very Best.
