I know there are wild animals that can fly, and climb trees, so building a tree house to avoid wild animals is not a good idea. Nothing you build can avoid wild animals unless you learn how to deal with their senses. You have senses just like wild animals. I will name some of them, for you: hear, see, smell, etc. You have the same senses animals have. It does not make a difference if you build upwards, or on land, or downwards. If an animal approaches you then it will use its senses, and it might try to enter your home.
