I think Ekko's "Convince an old friend not to blow us up" comment changed her self destruct method from grenade to jumping primarily because she hadn't considered that the explosion would get him too. Ekko's line didn't talk her out of it, but it got her thinking about the effects her death would have to those around her. At first in the immediate "the explosion might kill him too" sense, but as Ekko continues talking, she starts thinking in terms of "Ekko still cares about my well-being and my death would emotionally hurt him."
I think my general theory is that Jinx is in fact alive. But she needed to "die" in order for Jinx to die, if you get my jist? She let go of being Jinx, she forgave her sister and in that moment Jinx died. I think that was always the intention for Jinx to die, as Jinx was the broken version of Powder. Powder was also "dead" and Jinx became her entire persona for a long time. But Isha, I think, like many people think that Isha was the one to bring back Powder. But once she died, Powder was gone again. It can be complicated to look at again, but there is strong evidence to suggest that Jinx lived. But in my opinion, I think that scene captured Jinx being at peace with herself and letting go of Jinx in that moment. Not to say she'd completely change the next time we *might* see her, she wouldn't be Powder either. Perhaps she'd be reformed in some sort of way? Not in a literal sense, but she'd be on the path to healing herself from everything. That's what I've gathered from watching honestly.

Vi has never felt guilt in the entire show? Thats the ONLY emotion she was running on! Vi felt guilt for abandoning Powder, so much so she said herself that the only thing that kept her going was the thought of making her way back to her. She prioritises everyone she loves above her own self which manifested physically through her reckless combat. She pushed Caitlyn away in season 1 and chose Jinx because she wasnt allowing herself to feel happy and be vulnerable because she felt she had to prioritise saving Jinx above anything, BECAUSE of her guilt and Vanders words putting every single wrong choice on her shoulders. That is a crazy statement to make.
Vi is one of Arcane’s strongest characters physically and mentally to go through so much pain and suffering and still be able to keep fighting for the people she loves.
Thank you for having a brain. Vi literally feels guilty for everything that happens to those around her that she loves EVEN when she isn’t herself involved or responsible. No matter the circumstance she’ll find a way to beat herself up for failing to protect them and carries that heavy weight on her back at all times. It’s one of her prime characteristics and an integral part of her character. The bed scene with Caitlyn in season one is a perfect example of that. In her moment of vulnerability she confesses to running away and abandoning Powder. We can see her drowning in the guilt she has related to believing she had failed her sister, even though we KNOW as the audience that Vi never did so intentionally and was rushing to go back for her before she was apprehended by Marcus and thrown into jail. And that’s just one example among the many. The show literally slaps you in the face with it time and time again, I don’t know how you could possibility miss it or interpret it as anything else
4:06 i was rewatching the first season and noticed she did they same during her fight with ekko, as she in a way wants to die with hime when she releases the bomb, same with vander/Warwick and vi, we see that she needs to die in the hands of someone important or close to her
Damn that’s some crazy good analysis. your explanation does make sense where sometimes you do need to remove yourself and break the cycle. But I still think the death was for jinx’s story and to show her character development making her a better person. She intentionally gets the clean slate more than she “helping” vi to break the cycle whereas vi involuntarily getting to deal with grief and loss as usual. (coz how can death be helpfully? It will only leave a hole in her heart which cannot never be filled knowing her sister sacrificed herself to save her) If after escaping jinx showed up while vi was breaking down with grief, said some funny sarcastic line and they had a good moment like vi punching and then tightly hugging her. Then a montage of them coexisting in peace and finally jinx ready to leave to explore her life and get on her healing journey. This would realistically be gold. Coz in the moment jinx does die in vi’s mind. Vi also realises she needs to be the break her own cycle of being overprotective caretaker and now after the profound act of sacrifice for love their bond is stronger than ever and she is, as u discussed no more jinx for either herself or vi but a different more adult and mature jinx. The moment of almost death is basically rebirth. But I get that story needed to be more climactic and intense with drama… so I don’t blame the writing.
i mean jinx would have been toxic to vi anymore ,she ' s changed since like act 2 ,and yeah rwmovung yourself makes sense IF SOMEONE ABUSES YOU AND DONT WANT TO CHANGE ,Cait also hurt Vi so according ti show 's logic or Jinx logic ,Vu should also remove herself from Cait ,and because she stands in a way to Vi being with jinx .Cause Vi wants both JINX AND CAIT IN HER LIVE
@@jhinjhin00_1 i was just replying to to your prevous comment ,i just disagree about this whole breaking cycle stuffwith JInx Oh, and Jinx has to “break the cycle” because she caused Vi too much pain, but meanwhile, Cait - the ex-dictator who also hurt Vi - is fine. Vi was beaten by the Enforcers in prison, amd Cait did it with her rifle as enforcer , but that’s okay, because Vi’s mental pain doesn’t exist because of Cait. What a lesson: leave your ex-abuser to be with another ex-abuser. And if your past actions burden to loved ones , move away from your loved ones. Yeah, romance over sisterhood - what a lovely and effective story. It completely ignores the majority of season 1 and 2.If the writers wanted Jinx in other regions so badly, she should have left with Vi. It would have been a nice callback to Vi’s line about leaving Piltover in season 1. Cait and Ekko could have joined later, and the four of them could have formed a badass squad
Vi always has cared for her family, thats the main reason she always wants to find powder and fnd jinx. She also doesn't like that her family changed (as in Jinx) because she can't accept that things change but she still tries to be with Powder/jinx even when she knows. The reason that she can't really accept the change is most likely because she was in prison for 6-7 years. Vi has always felt guilty throughout the show not only when Cait shoots at mirror Jinx. Also Vi isn't the reason Jinx got created, she is a part of it but its mainly Silco. Just because Jinx says that Silco didn't create her does not mean he didn't. Silco is literally a criminal overlord who is cunning, crazy, a killer and you name it.
I personally disagree with the fact that Vi hasn't changed. The line of Jinx telling her she won't ever give up on her may be pointing in that direction, as well as the scene with Vander on the platform, but that would mean not taking in consideration all the things she did in act 1-2 and partially in that very cell. All the story arc of Vi is a big grief processing for the "death of powder", where in the first season she faces denial and bargaining, ending the season with depression that keeps on going during the first act of season 2, and moves to anger at the end and beginning of second act (of course they are much more complex, mixed up and intewined during the story but along these lines) and ends with acceptance. The hug between her, jinx and Vander, the little fight they had when she sees how Jinx acts with Isha, the fact that she let jinx give her opinion on what they should do with Vander, the moment she realizes the parallelism between how she acted toward jinx and how Vander acted toward Silco (with the difference that Vander actively tried to kill Silco while she was killing Jinx by tring to save Powder) makes me think she finally accepted Jinx for who she is, not powder or the identity of "Jinx" but just her sister, who is grown, changed and different but still her. When she tries to save her in prison I interpreted that she wasn't trying to save Powder as she always had, but save Jinx for she is her sister, giving up on everything. I personally don't find the decision to let Jinx die, even worse to make Vi think jinx is dead quite a good choice. Jinx may or not be dead (of course not but still without confirm) but in the end that would affect her little to nothing at all, death is meaningless for the one who dies, to joy or suffer of it are those who still live, and in this occasion I don't find any positive aspect for Vi. I think that a situation in which Vi sees Jinx fly away to start a new life elsewhere and let her go willingly, knowing and understanding that this is the best thing she can do for her, could have been a much better ending for their relationship and characters. (And eventually jinx could have come back one day as a new person with Vi and Cait... yeah I know I'm delusional 😢)
I agree with you! I think they wanted to make jinx the bigger better person but realistically you rightly said that people who actually love the dead suffer the most because they leave a void which cannot be filled. I actually was more heartbroken for vi because she yet again lost her sister and the only family remaining. And knowing that sister died for her would just make her feel worse there is nothing happy about it. Jinx intentionally gets a clean slate (honestly happy for her, I actually thought it was breaking the cycle for herself more than for vi) but vi is left with grief involuntarily.
I agree with you, but I think this ending(although a little cheap) is more fitting. Jinx is still a broken person, trauma doesn’t dissolve over night. She is still feels the need to remove herself from Vi’s life to make it better, because deep down Jinx has ingrained this idea that she doesn’t bring happiness to others. Things aren’t mutually exclusive, I believe she genuinely wanted to see Vi happy, I believe she finally accepted herself, I believe she wants to experience life again. But she still can’t let this mindset go, she isn’t well adjusted. Mental health issues are a constant push and pull, but for now she is at peace.
@@mime514 yeah of course she had to leave, although I think she could have gone away without making Vi suffer for her death, supposed or not. I find the idea of the suicide perfectly fitting when she was in the cell: depressed and with her only sparkle of hope just blown away, when all she could see was a dark path filled with all the corpses she (in)voluntary is responsible for and to which she didn't wanna add Vi, but as soon as Ekko dissuades her, convincing her that there are other possibilities and ways to let go, to make "that" leap (possibly telling jinx about her other self and that is why all my point is valid for him too), I find the sacrifice unnecessary and a step back on their progression.
Don't like the way they resolved Vi's flaw where she can't let go of family or loved ones. She's forced to move on, how does she not just replace Jinx with Caitlyn isn't her issue not family but people dear to her? Wouldn't Jinx dying not fix this flaw and she would still have it with her relationship with Caitlyn?
THIS ,like Vi just now is tied to Cait ,she puts Cait now first before herself ,cause in her way she would have BOTH JInx and Cait in her live ,its like show says she is ''free'' by cuuting off her family, but now she s just with Caitlyn lol ,i mean in act 1 Vis said how she s done with blaiming herself for JInx mistakes ,she didnt choked her in ep 5 oit of nowhere lol.
@yellowheart9265 Would be much better if Vi learns Jinx is alive and she's fine with it. Otherwise it doesn't feel resolved properly, probably because they still want to do something with them maybe.
@@TheFluffySpaz It’s suppose to be VI’s fatal flaw. It’s not something she can change about herself. She’ll always put herself on the line for her loved ones.
@emmarod8746 I agree, I remember in the AU Powder mentions how Vi's strong because of her desire to protect her loved ones, it's both her strength and weakness. I don't agree however with that being the reason why Jinx decided to leave.
@ Fair enough, but I don’t like people assuming that Jinx sacrificed herself with 100% certainty that she would survive, instead of her doing it as a act to save her sister’s life at the cost of her own. I’m not saying she didn’t possibly survive and fake her death but unless Warwick let her go, she had no way of knowing she could survive the fall into the explosion. Her living or dying is a part of Jinx’s open ending, but the fact that Jinx risked her life for her sister’s isn’t up for discussion.
honestly, I think Jinx needs to die in this explosion. I'm so tired of fake-out deaths that play with my emotions. This in NOT Star Wars, this is NOT Marvel. This is a show about tragedy and real consequences. The main characters can and should die and not come back because we saw a pink line for two frames, an air-baloon and air vents. They can't have their cake and eat it too.
I see the comment section meme'ing and I kinda get that but I want to thank you for dropping this 'unalive' or 'sewer sliding' bullshit; if u wanna talk about tough topic - name it as it is
1x7 might be the worst. Her sister chose an enforcer over her, and even Ekko gave up on her… but she still gave him a last glimpse of Powder before dropping the grenade.
Amazing video! But I must say I completely disagree on Vi not feeling guilty. This is basically the emotion that makes her always set her own interests on second place. And what makes her feel that she isn't allowed to be happy at all. She is activly taking all the blame for Jinx' actions. This is why Jinx setting her free is SO important for her. She would have never asked for it, but Jinx giving this to her as clearly her free will is the game changer for Vi. She also probably had some time think of it. And when she realised that Caitlyn literally did the same thing for her you can almost hear her self inflicted shackles fall down. The two people she loves and cares for the most set her free from her guilt. And so she really doesn't "fucking care' anymore. So sad that many people immediately started pushing her back in her old role. "She is not allowed to put herself in the first place and have fun (even though this is the first time in the show doing this)" Maybe the people are too used to see her suffer.
Vi just now is tied to Cait ,she puts Cait now first before herself(because JInx got away and forced that upon her ,unless she gonna find out she alive then she gonna search for her with Cait after some time i gurante you -maybe the line are u still in this fight Violet meant to extent ),BECAUSE IF IT WAS HER WAY she would have BOTH Jinx and Cait in her live ,so action of JInx is not Vi doung things for herself ,its like show says she is ''free'' by cuuting off her family, but now she s just with Caitlyn, who s her spouse /gf too (so family ) AND PART OF HER PAST TOO ,LIKE CAITS ACTIONS PUT VI INTO DEPRESSION lol ,i mean in act 1 Vis said how she s done with blaiming herself for JInx mistakes ,she didnt choked her in ep 5 oit of nowhere lol,so this whole gult disspeared long time before act 3 ,And JInx broke cycle of VIOLNCE ,when she reunited with Vi smth which Vander and Silco failed ,Show just pushed Caitvo above sisterhood ,even though Cait s done problematic shit and JInx too ,So one having Vi and other going way CHANGES NOTHING .If Vi stoppoed being woth Cait and JInx in any way then she would have put herself before others ,Buy yall shippers arent ready for that talk im talking this as caitvi shipper ,Like people can have gf /partners and siblings in the same time too
Grrat video! This video also indirectly tells me how Cait and Vi really needed each other to free from their past identity. Vi from a "simple" and overprotective sister, and Cait from a revenge-seeking and manipulated puppet dictator. She is the accidental bridge between them! Can't wait for the next video!
Did you know jinx is an infp. Any infp that has struggled with darkness knows of the minor suicidal thoughts to the more darker moments that happen due to the struggle to accept yourself and the fear of not being accepted by other people

Cait and Ekko could have joined later, and the four of them could have formed a badass squad,or at lasr Jinx staying with Vi.Jinx and Vi could have been a mirror image of redemption and mended ties. By having Jinx and Vi reunite for good, it would symbolize breaking the cycle of violence and betrayal that plagued the generation before them. It would show that despite the pain, love and family could heal deep wounds, offering a hopeful resolution where Silco and Vander's story had none.
I agree with everything and I also highly doubt jinx is dead. The VA and co creator are acting weird about it. In a way she did sacrifice herself. She left vi and in turn broke the cycle. She has her own journey now. I don’t know if we will se her again but I don’t mind (is what I’m telling myself). I would like the deleted scenes between ekko and jinx tho.
There’s certainly evidence that jinx is alive, but I just don’t know why the creators couldn’t just show her face flying away. That would’ve made the story seem for complete to me
Fantastic Video, Since Jinx faked her death, I wonder where she will go and Why she truly believed she had to leave, even her soulmate. The New Arcane Artbook on how Arcane was made is full of Jinx writing and they make it very clear even main timeline Jinx was in Love with Ekko, Knowing now about the cut content that happens in-between Ekko saving her and a mirrored romantic montage that was similar to Ekko's Alternate universe romantic montage, just makes me think they were Soulmates in all timelines, Poor Ekko they reallly did give him a Casablanca ending, the girl flying off into the sunset leaving the guy behind. Wish there was a video explaining why. Did Jinx still believe She could cause the death of another person that she was close with, so she felt she had to let go? Is Jinx off to Bilgewater or Demacia?. We will certainly see her again, I am surprised how many people thought she died. th-cam.com/video/b3_Pg82XV9Y/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VyZ9GGNQJaLq949x
She didn't die sadly. Before the explosion went off the same purple dash went off into a tunnel so yeah she escaped (She killed Powder and Jinx) IT WOULD BE VERY COOL IF SHE APPEARS IN A ARCANE TYPE NEW SHOW BRO

Her first suicide attempt was in season one against Ekko. That was a suicide attempt.
And it's Ekko who save her in the season 2

@@mime514 yeah of course she had to leave, although I think she could have gone away without making Vi suffer for her death, supposed or not. I find the idea of the suicide perfectly fitting when she was in the cell: depressed and with her only sparkle of hope just blown away, when all she could see was a dark path filled with all the corpses she (in)voluntary is responsible for and to which she didn't wanna add Vi, but as soon as Ekko dissuades her, convincing her that there are other possibilities and ways to let go, to make "that" leap (possibly telling jinx about her other self and that is why all my point is valid for him too), I find the sacrifice unnecessary and a step back on their progression.
you and schnee are the only arcane analysts i will ever need - great video and that little message actually meant a lot
i love the title, absolute banger video
Jinx reading that title 👁️👄👁️
Finally, a breath of fresh air after some shizodoom reviews about how season 2 failed everything.
11:19 Awwww man when your voice breaks reading that line, tears😭🫂
"She used her fists on cait" got me rollin for no reason 👀💀
honestly, I think Jinx needs to die in this explosion.
I see the comment section meme'ing and I kinda get that but I want to thank you for dropping this 'unalive' or 'sewer sliding' bullshit; if u wanna talk about tough topic - name it as it is
She’s perfect. 🩵
I was not ready but now I am here awesome videos.
That title is really questionable
he got our attention didnt he
yeah, this video is more about "why Jinx needed to fake her death"
I love love love how detailed your videos are !!! 🎉
Vi just now is tied to Cait ,she puts Cait now first before herself(because JInx got away and forced that upon her ,unless she gonna find out she alive then she gonna search for her with Cait after some time i gurante you -maybe the line are u still in this fight Violet meant to extent ),BECAUSE IF IT WAS HER WAY she would have BOTH Jinx and Cait in her live ,so action of JInx is not Vi doung things for herself ,its like show says she is ''free'' by cuuting off her family, but now she s just with Caitlyn, who s her spouse /gf too (so family ) AND PART OF HER PAST TOO ,LIKE CAITS ACTIONS PUT VI INTO DEPRESSION lol ,i mean in act 1 Vis said how she s done with blaiming herself for JInx mistakes ,she didnt choked her in ep 5 oit of nowhere lol,so this whole gult disspeared long time before act 3 ,And JInx broke cycle of VIOLNCE ,when she reunited with Vi smth which Vander and Silco failed ,Show just pushed Caitvo above sisterhood ,even though Cait s done problematic shit and JInx too ,So one having Vi and other going way CHANGES NOTHING .If Vi stoppoed being woth Cait and JInx in any way then she would have put herself before others ,Buy yall shippers arent ready for that talk im talking this as caitvi shipper ,Like people can have gf /partners and siblings in the same time too
2:43 sent me so hard lmaoooooo
This is such a great analysis of their dynamic!
Toonaholic is back yoooo
New upload from my goat? What a great day.
that title tho ☠☠☠☠☠☠
that's a wild title 😭
When I saw the title 😭
Chill on Jinx
That Title is FOUL
jinx: what the hell man
wow dude you straight up implied vi was wielding cait like a puppet with those popeye forearms of hers
Great vid
Amazing video insane title
Great video! Too bad TH-cam is suppressing it because it deals with a real and heavy topic.
wtf is that title
Whats wrong with the title
@mothlight9661 now? nothing, but when he first posted this it said "this is why jinx NEEDS to kill herself"
I don't think anyone coulda said it better👏
She didn't just integrate her guns, it's also got a fan from Ekko's hover boards. There's a whole scene in Jinx fixes everything about her building it
Love the title
“that allowed her to open herself up to a new experience, to a new relationship- okay first suicide attempt”
Jinx in S1: Welp, this is who I am now!
Jinx in S2: Can I please be literally anyone else? This blows.
Did you know jinx is an infp. Any infp that has struggled with darkness knows of the minor suicidal thoughts to the more darker moments that happen due to the struggle to accept yourself and the fear of not being accepted by other people
i was just replying to to your prevous comment ,i just disagree about this whole breaking cycle stuffwith JInx Oh, and Jinx has to “break the cycle” because she caused Vi too much pain, but meanwhile, Cait - the ex-dictator who also hurt Vi - is fine. Yeah, romance over sisterhood - what effective writing . It completely ignores the majority of season 1 and 2.If the writers wanted Jinx in other regions so badly, she should have left with Vi. It would have been a nice callback to Vi’s line about leaving Piltover in season 1. It would show that despite the pain, love and family could heal deep wounds, offering a hopeful resolution where Silco and Vander's story had none.
me when my botlane goes 0/7 and cries in all chat
title got changed 3 times already 😭😭
If you don't know, you don't know.
Release.
absolutely INSANE title
i got offended instead of Jinx with that title.
Jinx is in the thick of it
FINALLY SOMEONE WHO AGREES
this video upload notification was so funny
Can you make a video on the character analysis of Vi and a separate one of caitlyn
The title is wild
There’s certainly evidence that jinx is alive, but I just don’t know why the creators couldn’t just show her face flying away. That would’ve made the story seem for complete to me
might have to rethink that title gng😭
Insane title 💀
I told someone just a day before final act "i want jinx to die"(jokingly) and I'm still depressed
bro HATES Jinx fr 💀
this is my thesis after the bot lane ints
To be fair I think she was actually practicing the escape she used at the end of the season.
Ain't no way this video is gonna be monetized
Certified league of legends title
The title is crazy XD
The healthiest Version of each jinx and vi ist when they are seperated from each other/ the other Person not Existent. I wonder If there ist Something
Someone please tell me what was the original title 😭
Old title was freakier than Caitlyn☠
What was it?
@@ElMerzXD why Jinx needs to unalive herself☠
What was the original title because ya'll cant be freking out over the generic one it has nowm
Vi always chooses wrong
bro change the title, "why jinx thinks she needs to die" is better.
Arcane Season 2 is misunderstood.
💝💝💝
Am I watching a schnee video?
Wait, Jinx knew about her alternate reality self?
how does this have two titles...
Bro please change the title back so people don’t think the top comments are schizo
Bcz there nothing left for her to fight for or protect duh
She didn't die sadly. Before the explosion went off the same purple dash went off into a tunnel so yeah she escaped (She killed Powder and Jinx)
IT WOULD BE VERY COOL IF SHE APPEARS IN A ARCANE TYPE NEW SHOW BRO
bro what is this title dawg
F the police💀
The title is genuinely the worst thing I have ever seen.
The title might trigger some people, pls consider changing it.
Shouldnt ever say that about someone
