I hope this blows up. I watched it twice back to back before getting back to work. Brilliant stuff.

You are a good actor, beyond just the voice acting

Every time I watch this scene, I notice something new. This time I realized Anton and the cashier are having a conversation about normalcy and freedom. The cashier is shackled by what he thinks he should be doing. He had kids, married, and now he takes care of his FIL’s gas station because…maybe he never had a good reason for it. And he lives his life the same way he holds this conversation. Asking useless questions and phrasing them in useless ways to uphold the status quo.
And here comes Anton, the paradigm of unrelenting freedom. A man who kills and makes decisions on whims and coin tosses. Even the way he holds a conversation challenges the normalcy. “Which way is that?” “What business is that of yours?” He’s trying to push the cashier into actually thinking about what he’s doing. The cashier’s apathetic dispassion towards life is Anton’s excuse to kill indiscriminately-no one cares about their own lives enough to warrant sparing them. We’re all just cows going through the motions of nicety, never showing our true selves until the day we die, whether that be through time or because a crazy man decided to blow a hole in your chest cavity. In this essay, i will

its a valid interpretation, but anton genuinely believes he has no agency in his kills. That they have already been determined by fate. I guess maybe he wants the man to acknowledge it, but I do not think anton views himself as a beacon of freedom.

he asked "you married into it?" twice, so legally the guy can say "you already asked me that"

Heyo, been watching your covers and acting skills, and I’m pretty sure your gonna find a great home in the entertainment industry. I am also a little jealous Ngl.
You put in a lot of hard work with Anton Sugar, but I do like to point out a criticism on your take. Anton is a psychopath: a man with barely any feeling, or emotion. When I listen to your tone, and look at your facial expressions; it’s sort of filled with intimidation, and with a macho like presence. And while Anton is an intimidating character, and can sound intimidating at times, he overall talks like it’s an ordinary work day. Anton doesn’t try to be this scary character, it’s just him. So when he talks to the clerk, he isn’t scaring him to look intimidating or tough, or cool, he’s doing it because he found some form of fate in him. And whether that fate for the clerk is death or mercy, it’s just a normal Tuesday for Anton.

I'd say that this is not exacly Anton's emotion. When he talks he is not nervous or irratated (no eye rolling and pursed lips). But if you'd ask me who evoked more emotions original or your scene I'd definatly say this.

this is really good! But I have a bit feedback though. Anton Chigurh doesn't understand emotions or why people feel & beg since he has no feelings, so he wouldn't be able to express any emotion or triggers. If u watch the scene again, u will find his eyes amazingly dead with zero emotions. The only thing u can see is him toying with the dude & trying to control his puppet. Other than that? Emotions are overrated for him. I can still sense ur emotions in these scenes though, which makes u not a psychopath lol people shouldn't be able to read how u feel when u r a psychopath, simply because u can't feel & don't understand what it's like to feel. the actor Javier Bardem still has to act with emotions on some level to communicate his feelings to the audience. But yeah, in real life, i don't think u can understand this specie or know what's in their head, unless u urself turn off ur own empathy.
