1 year after becoming Christian I became very disabled. Then my kids received a diagnosis of ASD. 7 years I've been disabled and God has taught me so much. My kids are thriving and in a year will start college full time. Listening to Lisa reminded me of how much I wanted to study theology ( even before I gave my life to Jesus I was seeking) Once my kids settle into college I'm ready to study theology it's on my heart. Ì might be at home all the time but I am ready to get off the kerb!

Can't get enough of Lisa's ministry. I cry, laugh and always finish with a little more wisdom in from her sharing the word of God. A true gift fom God.
I grew up without a Father. So many walk that same path of life, never knowing the TRUE guidance a Father can provide, the sense of protection, the unwavering love a Father is supposed to extend to his children. It only got harder once I had children of my own, HOW do I be a Father, when I don’t even know what it means…so many abandon their children asking that same question to themselves. God changed everything, God began showing me what it meant to love, to care, to nurture…but not just my children, but those around me “thy neighbor”. I realized I knew no Father, just so I could come to know THE FATHER, when the time was right 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 We are going to have “Moments of Uncertainty” But that is not as important as the element you use to relieve yourself. Many followers of Christ are still indulging in our vices and addictions to relieve our “Uncertainties” Lean on God in your darkest moments, lean on the word that says you were created with meaning and purpose, lean on the Grace of God…let it steady your mind, your heart and your body. I don’t know who I’m writing to, who’s reading this, but God is ready, and waiting for you to seek him, through Jesus Christ, whom he sent to die the death meant for you and I. Not just on Sunday, not just when you “need” him, not just when you’re desperate…but every day, hour, minute and second of your life. Thank you Lisa for this wonderful word. I didn’t realize I had listened to this sermon of yours a little while ago but I really needed it for what I’m going through for about a month. I’ve made a brave decision to go back to church after many years of not going because when I was married to my 2nd husband who was a drug addict and I found out near the end of my marriage he also had been cheating on me. God had been preparing me little did I know at the time to finally break free from that very toxic marriage. I was so devastated and broken. I got shamed on every turn by Pastors and church people so I just stayed close to my Jesus as he was slowly rebuilding my life at home. It was safe and very necessary. Well, about 4 months ago I found a church to go to in which at first I liked it a lot. I was trying to take baby steps in trusting church people again. One lady was super friendly and I liked her and felt I could trust her. I called her one day because I was struggling with an issue. She started accusing me of things I wasn’t doing and for being guarded even when I was honest with our group about why I stopped going to church. It was awful. To make things worse the whole group turned against me. I’ve been nothing but kind to everyone. You spoke that God doesn’t use shaming toward us. And I really needed that story you shared. As you can see I’m doing all I can to not let this get the best of me by listening to Gods word but I am hurting very badly. This is beyond Christian not being perfect. This was outright betrayal again. I have moments where I feel angry and sick inside but I really need prayers please. Thank you.
Why shouldn’t you seem guarded? In the awkwardness of our pain, we may seem many things, but not easygoing for a while. Maybe, like myself, you are both learning not to say everything that comes to mind, and how to have the armor of God. Know that you are saved and made righteous (helmet and breastplate, guarding your mind and heart), then trust that He has you, in the difficult and disappointing times 🌟🕊️

Lisa's voice is healing to me and her beautiful warmth and gratefulness of God's Love is healing me from a hurtful sexually abusive rape I was put into It's so good she has had been assaulted too and has the courage to reach out to God I know I'm not alone.
Just made me cry when I head those words 40 minutes in. Jesus knows our hearts and we can’t see what he’s up to but it’s good. I have a 14 year old who has been with me for 5 years since I first fostered him alone. It’s been a long and lonely road but God is always working and I see so much joy and redemption now. There is something powerful about crying out "JESUS SON OF DAVID HAVE MERCY ON ME AND RESTORE MY SIGHT!" The realization of the desperate need for Jesus to the point you don't care what others think you know you need your savior. Felt fire in my soul! And also if you have a dream or a vision for your life that the lord has given you please don't tell everyone. They could use it against you to harm you.
God works in interesting ways. My phone jumped to this lesson when I had clicked on something else & it just started playing, by the time I could reach the phone to change it I was fully listening. Adoption is something I've debated for a long time, so it's time to start the process again. & like Lisa's story about the well-meaning but very misguided Christain woman, I also have had similar people in my life to provide "wisdom" at pivotal moments. I too come from an abusive childhood, and was told I would be an abusive mom, including by my MIL. I promised I was going to change history, instead of repeating it. That kind of history leaves you questioning yourself, and others comments hurt, but with Gods help history can be changed!!
I have listened and listened and listened to God speak his heart to me through Lisa over the past week or more and have just wept and wept. The enemy of my soul has tried to rip me apart in the past two years with his lies, and they sound a lot like what Lisa went through in some ways. But God… It’s like starting all over again and learning about how much he really loves me, I mean he really really loves me, ME!!

Thank you!! I had a Christian woman who I admired so much say the same to me. She told me to consider my age and how unfair it would be to adopt a child. I was 53. Totally believed her when I should have listened to God. I’m 58 and still think I would love to adopt. I have 4dogs and 2 cats which are my angels. I adore you for this sermon 💕💕💕
Ms. Summer, if God leads you to it, he will cover you through it. God has provision for our lives if he didn’t plan it for you l, he won’t sustain it. I think it’s a blessing that you would open your home... as someone who used to work in group homes you might want to consider Fostering your home for children of course some of the children will move on from you and get adopted by others by I just find so much work can be done with fostering... they both have their challenges if you choose to adopt please please find a support group and consider therapeutic activities and training and counseling for everyone involved although your are loved by you they will need as much help as they can to process everything. I’ve seen many different circumstances. I hope I’m not out of line with this comment

I just finished a long text. After reading it, putting all of the details out there would not be in anyone's interest. I had am Anna Price experience as the love of my life, a woman I had been waiting for broke up one month before we were to be married. I have been crushed and heartbroken for the past 7 months. 😢😢 I really needed to hear Lisa's message. Hope is a fragile thing, I believe that God put Lisa in my path for a reason. I did not want to have any children due to being bused by my Dad and brother. Never wanted to risk being a bad parent - I felt in awe of the challenge - and chose to avoid it. A good friend asked me , whether I should allow what happened to me ...to make me an emotional cripple. ?! Putting it like that... is what changed my mind. Nobody....who abuses of you in your childhood...has the RIGHT to have you feel this way !?!? At 39, I had the most wonderful, popular, empathetic boy - I have ever known !?!?;) \o/

1 year after becoming Christian I became very disabled. Then my kids received a diagnosis of ASD. 7 years I've been disabled and God has taught me so much. My kids are thriving and in a year will start college full time. Listening to Lisa reminded me of how much I wanted to study theology ( even before I gave my life to Jesus I was seeking) Once my kids settle into college I'm ready to study theology it's on my heart. Ì might be at home all the time but I am ready to get off the kerb!

Amen. God does not use shame as a motivational tool. All Glory to Our God.
I grew up without a Father. So many walk that same path of life, never knowing the TRUE guidance a Father can provide, the sense of protection, the unwavering love a Father is supposed to extend to his children.
It only got harder once I had children of my own, HOW do I be a Father, when I don’t even know what it means…so many abandon their children asking that same question to themselves.
God changed everything, God began showing me what it meant to love, to care, to nurture…but not just my children, but those around me “thy neighbor”.
I realized I knew no Father, just so I could come to know THE FATHER, when the time was right 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
We are going to have “Moments of Uncertainty”
But that is not as important as the element you use to relieve yourself. Many followers of Christ are still indulging in our vices and addictions to relieve our “Uncertainties”
Lean on God in your darkest moments, lean on the word that says you were created with meaning and purpose, lean on the Grace of God…let it steady your mind, your heart and your body.
I don’t know who I’m writing to, who’s reading this, but God is ready, and waiting for you to seek him, through Jesus Christ, whom he sent to die the death meant for you and I.
Not just on Sunday, not just when you “need” him, not just when you’re desperate…but every day, hour, minute and second of your life.
Develop consistency in Christ, and you will come to know what it means to “Be still, and know, that he is God”

Thank you Lisa for this wonderful word. I didn’t realize I had listened to this sermon of yours a little while ago but I really needed it for what I’m going through for about a month. I’ve made a brave decision to go back to church after many years of not going because when I was married to my 2nd husband who was a drug addict and I found out near the end of my marriage he also had been cheating on me. God had been preparing me little did I know at the time to finally break free from that very toxic marriage. I was so devastated and broken. I got shamed on every turn by Pastors and church people so I just stayed close to my Jesus as he was slowly rebuilding my life at home. It was safe and very necessary. Well, about 4 months ago I found a church to go to in which at first I liked it a lot. I was trying to take baby steps in trusting church people again. One lady was super friendly and I liked her and felt I could trust her. I called her one day because I was struggling with an issue. She started accusing me of things I wasn’t doing and for being guarded even when I was honest with our group about why I stopped going to church. It was awful. To make things worse the whole group turned against me. I’ve been nothing but kind to everyone. You spoke that God doesn’t use shaming toward us. And I really needed that story you shared. As you can see I’m doing all I can to not let this get the best of me by listening to Gods word but I am hurting very badly. This is beyond Christian not being perfect. This was outright betrayal again. I have moments where I feel angry and sick inside but I really need prayers please. Thank you.
Why shouldn’t you seem guarded? In the awkwardness of our pain, we may seem many things, but not easygoing for a while. Maybe, like myself, you are both learning not to say everything that comes to mind, and how to have the armor of God. Know that you are saved and made righteous (helmet and breastplate, guarding your mind and heart), then trust that He has you, in the difficult and disappointing times 🌟🕊️

Just made me cry when I head those words 40 minutes in. Jesus knows our hearts and we can’t see what he’s up to but it’s good. I have a 14 year old who has been with me for 5 years since I first fostered him alone. It’s been a long and lonely road but God is always working and I see so much joy and redemption now. There is something powerful about crying out "JESUS SON OF DAVID HAVE MERCY ON ME AND RESTORE MY SIGHT!" The realization of the desperate need for Jesus to the point you don't care what others think you know you need your savior. Felt fire in my soul! And also if you have a dream or a vision for your life that the lord has given you please don't tell everyone. They could use it against you to harm you.
God works in interesting ways. My phone jumped to this lesson when I had clicked on something else & it just started playing, by the time I could reach the phone to change it I was fully listening. Adoption is something I've debated for a long time, so it's time to start the process again. & like Lisa's story about the well-meaning but very misguided Christain woman, I also have had similar people in my life to provide "wisdom" at pivotal moments. The devil attacks in whatever way possible to deter us from God's plans for our lives. Take every thought in obedience to Christ & let HIM decipher for you. Thanks for posting this lesson!

I too come from an abusive childhood, and was told I would be an abusive mom, including by my MIL. I promised I was going to change history, instead of repeating it. That kind of history leaves you questioning yourself, and others comments hurt, but with Gods help history can be changed!!

Totally believed her when I should have listened to God. I’m 58 and still think I would love to adopt. I have 4dogs and 2 cats which are my angels. I adore you for this sermon 💕💕💕
Ms. Summer, if God leads you to it, he will cover you through it. God has provision for our lives if he didn’t plan it for you l, he won’t sustain it. I think it’s a blessing that you would open your home... as someone who used to work in group homes you might want to consider Fostering your home for children of course some of the children will move on from you and get adopted by others by I just find so much work can be done with fostering... they both have their challenges if you choose to adopt please please find a support group and consider therapeutic activities and training and counseling for everyone involved although your are loved by you they will need as much help as they can to process everything. I’ve seen many different circumstances. I hope I’m not out of line with this comment

The amount of spiritually relating to Lisa is amazing. I'm just 31 and that feels weighty when it comes to adopting, but God. It's been in my heart since I was in elementary school for when I grow up. Lol. So... Sometime this decade, it's happening whether I am married or not.
