Something about the horn in this opening theme sounds different from the other movies. This one always stands out to me.

It was recorded in a different scoring stage than 4 and 5, the same one as the prequels (Abbey Road Studio One)

That opening crawl theme is the sound of my childhood.. just magical...Return of the jedi had the best one.

Just watched this movie in theaters for it's 40th Anniversary. Was Epic!
I did too! It's my favorite Star Wars film, and watching it in the theater only furthered that stance!

Along with ROTS, my favorite beginning to a SW soundtrack after the crawl. Something about the restrained, plodding figures as the shuttle approaches the Death Star, and then the hits of Imperial March. A perfect opening statement for the soundtrack.
same here. the disney sequels don't hold a candle to this. watch the harmy versions .

I like how the main title doesn't have the high-pitch "cold and twisted" note from the horn in the intro, it's always been a sore spot for me on all the other movies

Even though we all agree this version of the main theme sounds amazing, is no one gonna talk about how this is pretty much the most badass version of the Imperial March
