You're exactly right about moistening the starter mix before filling the pots.. I didn't do that Christine and I had a hell of a time getting the mixture to stay moist.. ! But I'm good now and my seedlings have popped up 👍 the key to having strong roots and a sturdy plant is to keep the grow light about an inch above the plant as it starts to grow. And every time the plant touches the light move it just an inch above it until it's ready to put in the ground.. trust me this works 👍 thanks for sharing this video Christine and I must say you're looking quite gorgeous as always!!😉 It's always nice seeing a video with you actually in it!! Have a good rest of the weekend and keep us updated on your pepper 🌶️ plants!!👍
I have my doubts about the whole adding more soil as it grows...I know it works great for tomatoes, but I'm experimenting. Always nice to hear from you my friend!
You are ahead of me in starting my peppers. Thanks for the reminder 😅. I find about 1/2 pepper seeds will germinate after 5 years. Still I put them in dirt because who knows right? Nice to see a video from you ❤
I do hope they all come up for you. I am like you in that I use warm water to wet the soil before planting seeds. I keep mine in the basement where I have a wood stove as well and it stays really warm. I do not need many plants of the same type either. Last year, I had 2 jalapeno plants survive and they produced abundantly. I was surprised at how many peppers I got. Great video!!
Nice getting your peppers started. Yes, I must remember to pre moisten the soil... Agh.😁 I think peppers are so stubborn anyway, takes them forever to sprout!😫 Thanks for the swift kick in the tushy, cause I need to get on the move!! Lol! Best of luck!🌱 Aw, that's sweet about your mom; Gerard can put a smile on anyone's face!🤩 Have a nice week.🌅😊

I've had to slow down these days to a pace that fits everything going on right now. Once a week seems to be doable for me right now.
AWESOME! You are the BEST! ❤😊❤
Aw thank you Judy! 😊
Good luck with your seeds!❤❤
I'm trying grow lights this year so I'm hoping for success!

Oh, I had heard before that you can use a file and rough up old seeds slightly, supposed to help them germinate. I've not tried yet.
Oh REALLY!!! Hadn't heard that. I might try that with the old red peppers to see what happens. Thanks!
