- 30 years of color and I am done. I dont ever have to color my hair again. I did a long and expensive grey blending so that it would be easier for me to show up at work and in life.

The salt and pepper looks beautiful on you! I let mine go gray at 46 and I not only think gray hair is beautiful, it’s badass.
You're stunning! Act authentically. I love that you're embracing this season. "This is me." I felt that. Blessings on your journey!
I just hit my 1 year anniversary of letting my natural silver hair grow and I absolutely love it. It's so freeing and no more money, time sitting at the salon and I get so many compliments it's just lovely! I never got so many compliments on my colored hair!!
You're not alone when you said what you said today is the last day that you dye your hair, I colored my hair and it was falling out I stopped coloring it it has taken almost 2 years to grow out and I'm proud of myself and I'm proud of you too for for being the lady that you are very beautiful, thank you for sharing your video
Love. You look fabulous and you are inspiring. What a great result.
Doesn’t it feel great to just be free of that? I am just 9 days away from my year anniversary. I have not dyed my hair in a year and I love it. I don’t get compliments, but I also don’t get insults. It’s like no one notices and I love that too. No one cares. We make such a huge thing out of covering our grays. What a waste of time and energy and money it was. I wish I would have never started. I never felt authentic when I was covering up my natural hair color. Glad I stopped. Keep up the content to help others do the same. Congratulations! You look fabulous. I also thought you looked beautiful before you went for the gray blending. This is certainly a fun journey. ❤
It looks beautiful! Don’t listen to the haters. I did it too and I loved it! It lets your hair go grey naturally. So wonderful.
Plenty of gray haired women around me. But, not long tresses like mine. They all cut it short. I've never been more comfortable in my life.
"Gray hair is a crown of glory " Proverbs 16:31 ☺️✌️♥️🌺
My hair is half way down my back and I am also embracing my greys. I am just about to blend some highlights in and use toners to break up that hard edge but I’m so looking forward to not having to color every 4 weeks. And btw, I’m not cutting my hair either. lol At least not in the foreseeable future.

You go, girl! You are fabulous. Looks awesome❣️
You look effing amazing!
You are naturally beautiful. Any color suits you anyway.❤
But you have made a great choice. The real satisfaction comes when your natural hair starts growing healthy and untreated.
But, this also looks nice and better!!!
Enjoy the journey. And don't forget your lipstick!!!
It goes so well with grays!!!😘
I went cold turkey over the pandemic. It took me 2 years to grow it all out. My hair is so much healthier now! Be warned, people do treat you differently with gray hair. Some really dislike it. But as long as you like it, it doesn’t matter.
It looks gorgeous, make sure you deep condition. It will keep your hair super healthy and shiny!!!
Fabulous! Inspiring, thank you. I'm 5 months no dye. Doing cold turkey and it's looking better every wash and I'm getting lots of women saying how lovely my hair is and they are shocked when I say ........5 months no dye😆 It's liberating, enjoying the journey so far. The first 12 weeks was more difficult but as the ends wash out and the regrowth revealed my natural colour it's improved so much. My hair feels lighter as dye is washing out, and new hair growing. Did a scalp scrub which felt so good.
That's so good to hear, I just finished week 7 cold turkey. What's a scalp scrub? Looking to give my new growth whatever it needs, lol
You’re not the first to go gray, you’re just the first to wear it out loud. 😅 I decided last year to let my gray come in. I’m 58 and only 1%-2% gray. It’s mostly coming in gently around my temple areas. When I first started it wasn’t coming in right so I took everything I could to prevent graying and I also colored it for trips, or used temporary covers at home when I had to be on camera for work. Now I just let it do what it wants. My Dad didn’t gray until his 60’s and even then never 100%.He shaved it in his 70’s, but even his beard is mostly black with pepper gray, so I think I still have some time. My mother went gray in her 40’s and colors her, hair religiously. I think there’s room for those who don’t want to go gray and room for those who do. Hopefully we can normalize accepting and uplifting both and the freedom to choose without shame or embarrassment. You look beautiful with it and without it. ♥️
I am 65 and have hardly any gray at all. I don’t dye my hair. My father didn’t have any noticeable gray until he was in his 70’s.
Congrats! I transitioned a year and a half ago. Great decision! It most certainly helps to have a professional who knows how to work with your specific hair to make the transition smoothly. Looks amazing!
It looks awesome!
Your hair looks awesome. I’ve been wanting to go natural for a while now. So glad I saw your video so I can share it with my hair stylist. 👍❤️
I made the choice to let my hair go gray about a year ago (I’m 49), it’s about 1/2 way to my shoulders. My hairdresser thinks by next year it will be fully grown out. I thought about transition dye, but in the end I opted for the grow out out version, since my hair grows fast. Good luck on your journey! Looks amazing!
I love it, youre on the way. Im 63 and not coloured my hair for a few years but its taking soooo loooong! Im going to go for it too.
You are really pretty. You look great.
Beautiful choice 🙌🏻🥳
Your hair looks very nice. Congrats for being the first in your corporate circle👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I begun my cold turkey second time around almost two months now. Got tired of the bi weekly matainence, hair loss and so much itching at the sculp.
You would look stunning in silver grey all over! Nice transformation
You look beautiful. My hair is the same color as yours and I have almost the same amount of grey grown out and I am never covering my greys again either! I’m using some hi lights and toners and just hope mine turns out as well as yours! Hey, congrats!
I have dyed, bleached and did toner til the cows came home and I'm still basically brassy blonde when it all wears off and it does. For me everything seems to be temporary.
My roots are a pretty silvery white that I've grown out to about 3 inches. My hair is shoulder length.I've not dyed since last Nov. I figured it will be a year from this Christmas or longer until it's all grown out. I want to see what my healthy non dyed hair quality is like. It's so over processed now and dry as straw. Silvery is pretty, just a color and I for one can't wait for the entire grown out. You look beautiful, by the way.
You could have a pixie cut if you think it would suit you, then it might be a less painful process.
toner is what turns brassy- never use this "short-cut"! The stylist here used toner w developer, so she WILL get that brassy look. She can keep going in for salon treatments (more damage, more of a cycle) OR Just get tiny baby HI lights (level or 9 or 10)--then use a wash out semi permanent toner that won't affect the dark naturals.
If your ends are very damaged, it probably better to cut off as much as you can! Keep cutting till all you have left is silver and then grow it out to the length you want
STOP using toner with developer! It turns brass sooner than later- it's PEROXIDE. START using semi toner & tho it's temp, it will stain to a nice color wOUT brass. Hair will get shiny too vs damaged. Ask me anything if it's unclear
It looks wonderful!
Freedom! And really beautiful! Bravo!
I am my natural colour and it is beautiful. It’s a shame the hairdresser hasn’t embraced her natural colour too as a way to market her skills. Yours looks lovely.
It looks beautiful!
Love it❤Gray hair is earned
You look amazing!
Looks REAL GOOD!
It looks really lovely ❤️
Go girl!,,,,,,,,,!,,,,,,,,!!looks great. Way to do it. I agree.
Ohhhhhh, what a beautiful look! This looks like a great option for women with long hair. I cut my hair off to go grey, but short hair wasn’t new for me.
I finally stopped dying my hair and let my grey come out naturally. Little by little I was having my dyed hair trimmed off. I'm salt and pepper with beautiful streaks of white silver and wear it layered and it looks fantastic and healthy. I should have done it years ago.
Great result. I'm 41 and the first in my social group. Agree ❤
It looks really pretty. I still dye mine blond and wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve always loved blond hair…I can appreciate your desire for getting away from the hassle of dyeing hair though…
Glad u accept it. Me still buying box dye . 😞 I think you are very cool.
It looks great
It came out so good, you look stunning! Ive had my Greylo for 9 years already, i started at 50. I was a hairstylist at the time and the only one also doing it, like you were. Boy did my boss keep telling me to color it, it looks terrible. I didnt use any methods of transitioning and i had dark hair. Boy talk about skunk stripe! 😂...oh well, i got thru it unscathed but changed on the outside and inside as well, all for the better🌼
We as women need to make the change, so society way of thinking changes too
Love it!
I’m one of a handful of ladies at my company who has gone gray and I don’t think it has hurt my career. I talked to a fashion stylist who specializes in corporate ladder women, she told me to keep it gray-it was beautiful and positioned me for executive roles. My hair stylist likes it so much he won’t color it. If I ever think I want a change or need to color it, I can do a temporary dye which lasts 4 months and fades out evenly.
I'm a year into growing out the gray. It's got a long way to go but I'm doing it without a stylist. If I liked short hair, I'd be all white now with a cute haircut but I like my longer hair. I put mine up in the back as it's growing out. Your hair looks nice but darker. It seems as if you went backwards not into more gray. I may be wrong. However, no matter what we choose to do with our hair, however we do it, it's all good. God bless.
It looks nice. However, I was surprised to see so much dark hair. I would have thought since it was extremely expensive she would have added a lot more grey hair since that was her transitioning goal. I personally think she overpaid. I’m letting my grays grow in and I am loving the natural salt and pepper look better.
I love it too
Amazing
Hairdresser specialises on grey blending but wears obviously dyed hair ?, you’d think she would be advertising what she does best … anyway your hair looks fab
You can do perms without having curly hair, you can cut pixies without having short hair. It's all about choice
Grey is natural for whatever age it shows up.
Good for you!
It looks great. I’m growing mine out now. At the two month mark. I may, like you, get some help.
me too! I am just letting mine grow out. It looks awkward now but in less than a year I should be transitioned. lol.
When the grays started coming in, I had that choice we all have- cover it and become a slave to the salon, or flow freely with nature and embrace the gray. I decided to let the gray hair come as it will. I’m at peace with my decision.
Wow you actually look younger now 😮
Ty, she looks good with salt & pepper, but was confused about the transitioning part, I'm too chicken to do it naturally, wish I could afford ro for to NY & have them dye my hair to the gray.
I made the comment, think I am going to stop dying my hair. My husband and son said no and
why?..
You look great but I am not sure I totally understand how this process made it easier to ditch the dye. You will still have grey roots coming in; is it that it will blend better?
Your new hair looks fabulous!
God does a pretty good job of doing it naturally. Costs a lot less.
My gray all over is ugly, so i also do a transition with my natural white at temples and streaks in bangs, then color a
Ighter warm color on the rest. I like it and it doesnt wash me out so much.
My hair got thicker when I stopped dyeing. Now it's a thick head of white hair.
It’s been 5 months for me cold turkey
I can’t decide whether to keep going as I like my blond pieces with the grey bunt not the full brown covering it. I am curious about the texture of my real hair so I will probably keep going and just wear hats.
It’s just annoying that it will take another year or so because I don’t want to cut my hair. Short and grey NO WAY. I like the long hair look
I've been wanting to do that for 5 yrs yet haven't because I feel I'll lose all my hair because of the harshness
❤
I think I'll shave all mine off and let it grow out. Spending a bunch of money and 7-8 hours in a chair sounds painful.
My hair looks similar to the before part because I stopped dying it. I may just let mine grow out.
This is beautiful but expect to get "brass" sooner than later. ONLY because the stylist used a developer w the toner. This "Demi" color mixed w developer (peroxide) is a quick fix ----w quick brass. Next time ask for baby lights level 9 or 10, and use a wash out toner yourself at home or ask if she has one. These pros don't like to be told what to do. I go to a beauty college. I say exactly what I want and a senior teacher stands there. it's fail proof w those tiny highlights.
I had 2 yrs worth of grow out but my hair wasnt gray enough. So the brown chunks mixed with gray just didnt look that great. Also, the texture was awful. No bounce, no curl. I tried a million products and curling techniques. Didnt plan to but just bleached everything and toned a gray/blonde ash recently. Looks brighter and I feel more myself. I wont dye it anymore. But I do think you need a full head of silver to make it look good. at least for me. Hoping I can keep growing my hair out and blend the new grays.
My hair is white when i dont dye it and makes me look 10 years older at least.dying my hair lioks much better on me
With brown hair you look Like 29 years, with grey hair you look like 60 years 😅
You look younger
I really like what you’ve done. You spent 7 hours at the expensive salon to bleach and color your hair black. Why do you call it “going gray”? I am confused. Again, I liked the result, however, you looked great even before.
Gray hair makes one look older unfortunately and washed out But everyone is entitled to their own opinions . Use temporary or spray in hair color so you can be grey one day and colored the next. Best of both worlds .
You didn't truly transition, it takes at least one year or more years. Believe me I went through it. So don't say you transition you went to a salon 🙄 And you will see in the coming months that was a waste of time and money. I not trying to be not supportive but be true full. Good luck 😊
The definition of transition is a process or period of changing. This was just a step in her transition so she is in fact transitioning.
She did well and looks fabulous 🎉🎉🎉
I have shoulder length hair and I’m going into my third year and my dyed hair is just at the ends now ❤
Let her see what happens next. You are being non supportive and there’s no need for negative comments. Going gray girls need positive energy, ok?
Don’t be so negative, it’s so much nicer to support each other than criticizing
You wasted your time and money. Your hair roots will not blend seeing you are completely grey . Not much different in before and after.
Now you look 90y😂
@@anabellarivas822 rude!! Joke or not
Grey hair isn’t empowering, it’s the end of the line, grey hair makes you look look old !
Grey hair actually isn’t a color….it’s actually the result of devoid of color…no thank you..that old person stereotype of having grey hair will live on….if one wants that look, cool, but not me…just like women who are aging saying they stopped wearing makeup and want to be “natural.” Ha. I like a natural look too but that requires clever use of small amounts of lots of different makeup enhancers…It certainly isn’t the time to throw away all the makeup..
Honey, your hair truly looks NO DIFFERENT! You could’ve have REALLY BEEN BOLD and committed to what you were really gonna do yet you SETTLED for this BLAND hair look! Highly disappointed! For your face, which is actually BEAUTIFUL you could have first cut to shoulder length then had the ENTIRE head colored completely exquisite “Silver” color but instead you allowed the stylist to change your mind and a possible EXQUISITE hair style you could’ve had. This? Is dismal. Just sayin! I got excited at the beginning…what a let down!
