It was indeed a vocal challenge (impromptu) and she wasn't aware at all the the boys were planning it. Part of normal flow in their live stream sessions were just playing, fooling around goofing, and pranking Gigi (of course). And they did it on few other occassions so she pretty much goes with the flow and just play along with them. Few reasons also as to why they are one solid group and very comfortable with each other, which shows evidently in their music. That's a beautiful and sweet classic love song but she sings it better than the original even if she is being challenged by her bandmate for fun. I would just listen this in a loop than the full original song.
As mean as it may seem the guys in the band wouldn't challenge her like this unless they knew she could pull it off! It's fun to when they decide to change key behind her back and all of a sudden she must sing higher. They're basically having a good time and don't care if it's not absolutely perfect although they're killing it nevertheless!
The most difficult part of this song was the Tagalog word "magtitiis" because the letter i is pronounced as "ee", and she had to sing it with a very high note. Still, she nailed it!
