During the early season we actually saw Tracy Gold and her family at an amusement park. Standing in line for a ride. Later that day Tracy and I literally ran into each other trying to maneuver through a crowded gift shop. She was really sweet in person
You might be interested to know that Tracey Gold and her husband were introduced to each other by Joanna Kerns. Joanna was making a made-for-TV movie about his real life family, and he was on the set. Joanna thought they would be a good match for each other and introduced them. 😊
Great video!! Such a positive feel to it. A neat little thing, the Hanging With Mr. Cooper pilot episode was filmed on the vacant, but still dressed set of Growing Pains! Alan himself comes out with Mark and makes a fun comment about how he’s Jason Sever and this is his house. They made some fun silly comments about the giant photo above the fireplace etc. They were using the old set, which was common practice. They didn’t want to waste money on a unique set in case the show didn’t get picked up. Really cool but also really strange to see! Excited for more great videos! 😊
I love "Growing Pains". Too many people dismiss the show nowadays because they don't like the religious convictions of Kirk Cameron. But I couldn't care less about what he believes now in his personal life. It didn't, for the most part, affect the show. The first 4 seasons were absolute GOLD. Seasons 5 & 6 are okay. Season 7, the show had overstayed its welcome. But go back to those first 4 seasons...quintessential 1980s 3-camera family sitcom. Loved it!
Great video! Only beef I have is that you say Kirk Cameron was persecuted for being a "devout" Christian. I don't think many people have a problem with his Christianity. They have issues with his extremist views that spread hate for other minority groups. I need to check this show out again! I loved Alan Thicke!
Alan Thicke would walk off the stage after taping and would wear the filming outfits home so the producers started to end the day with a bedtime seen leaving Thicke in pajamas and having to change 😂😂😂😂

Due to his religious believes and accusing Matthew Perry of being an agent of satan. Yikes! Lastly Mike I mean Kirk even managed to fire the original producers of Growing Pains and this was when Mike would become a teacher and befriend a young Leonardo DeCaprio.🤗🤔📺📼

By that point, the other TGIF shows were “Perfect Strangers”, “Full House”, and “Family Matters”. All three shows were from the Miller-Boyett Production Company. “Just the Ten Us” was not! A deal with struck with Miller-Boyett to create a new show for 9:30 PM. Not having another timeslot for “Just The Ten Of Us”, they cancelled it. The show they replaced it with tanked. ABC publicly admitted they made a mistake cancelling “Just The Ten Of Us”.
Absolutely! They said there was also a future actor that used to hang with him on and off set that got in trouble with him all the time. And that actor is Toby McGuire!

You're good, I watch a lot of these kind of videos and thought I knew all the interesting facts about Growing Pains but you had a few I didn't know. You also showed clips of the cast I've never seen before, I had no idea Growing Pains was a huge hit in China, I must find clips of it dubbed in Chinese.

It's not that he is a Christian, but that he's so annoying about it. He believes he's being humble but just comes off as smug. Watched the show back in the day and definitely couldn't stand the overabundance of fat joke story lines in sitcoms. It isnt funny now and definitely wasn't then either.
