On July 8, 2013, Amtrak train #6 speeds eastward while taking full advantage of the 79 mph speed limit on the BNSF through the town of Agency, Iowa. This passenger train is on the left track instead of the usual right track today. This proves fateful for one deer that doesn't notice the "California Zephyr" until it's too late. I didn't even notice the deer until I reviewed the footage later.

Take a squirrel hit by a car for example, the back and forth rapid running motions give it a good advantage against a predator approaching at a reasonable speed, they basically juke to throw off the approach, but when facing a car going 40 mph, all it does is cause them to stall within the kill zone for too long.
