@@R2bball coach do u recommend on having a fundamental game like kobe if your point guard. I just like his simple moves but im the smallest of me and my guys im 12 and 5'4 in a half btw
Coach amazing video, Again thank you so much for helping me fix my form. I'm really glad that I took advice from this channel and removed my thumbflick from my shot. My form Is awesome now, thank you.
keep practicing. When you see a defender your mind will change thinking you need to do something different. Just remember that if you keep practicing, then when you go in games you'll know that you can sink the shot. All about confidence in yourself.
Thanks! Really like the video. I struggle heavily with rhythm. I bring the ball up while my my hips are still down. Do u maybe have some more drills for that? I mostly play outdoors so the chair one is kinda difficult to realize
3:12 is the hat so the ball doesn’t go above the head/cross his face? That’s smart. Good tips btw. Edit: just watched the full vid lol and you explained it. Should watch the whole vid before I comment huh
you should make a shooting demonstration of perfect shots from different spots. sometimes i just come here to refresh my memory and a video like that would be great
Hips need to get under the ball to get leverage and to efficiently transfer power into the shot. Old school guys, like Bird, and some modern players (Luka, KAT, and Kobe with free throws to name a few) would start by raising the the ball as the hips dropped so that the ball would be at the set point sooner and stay there longer. It’s what most people consider a “two motion shot” but regardless has effective power transfer. The refined philosophy is to begin by dropping with the ball and hips together to generate more power (similar to a downward arm swing in jumping mechanics). The problem that some have (Lebron as an example) is that they extend the hips before/or just as the ball reaches the set point which inhibits power transfer. What most good shooters like Steph do (and Ryan in this video) is to start ball and hips down, then roll their hips under the ball as it is lifted to get leverage and then start to extend when the ball reaches the set point so that the power is directed into an upward/forward arm motion In reality the hips do briefly drop (or stay in place) as the ball rises but bc of the initial down position, the ball moves through the set point more fluidly and with less pause than a “two motion shot”.
This is the perfect video I needed. Thank You Ryan. Also, if I took an old hat and wanted to bend the bill of it about how far out or in should I bend it?
Bruh u said your body goes up at the same time the ball is making its way to ur set point, but how come you keep ur knees down until the ball is at your serpoint

Needed this as of late thanks so much.
This is a really nice breakdown!
This was what I needed to fix my broke shot
Well did it work
When I’m working out I have good fluidity but when I get in a game my shot isn’t fluid at all
I also have this problem but I think the problem is a consistency and confidence thing

Same
Play against other people a lot and work on good fluidity in the games

David 1216 put the ball more forward.
Ryan great video
Underrated
2:00 but the ball moved first, I thought if the ball moves the hips move too. Anyone care to explain?

@@Scottyboy45 Thanks for the reply man
can u make a video on spinning left or right before shooting and how to get shots like those off consistently
4:33 what do you mean “stack someone” on a normal chair
LOL u gotta get some to sit and you sit on them and it’s a good height. That’s my guess lmao
Everything is good except my legs r too late i raise when the ball gets to my head
Do you align your feet to the basket or do you align your shooting hand?
God loves y’all
I noticed your hat trick to help the ball from going in front of his face , it’s hard to shoot with a hat facing forwards
Thanks man u have help me a lot with this. I got more endurance in Late Game too
But other videos teaches you to bend your knee as you raises the ball in order to have a faster release
This is the perfect video I needed. Thank You Ryan. Also, if I took an old hat and wanted to bend the bill of it about how far out or in should I bend it?
Whatever you need. I like to bend it a lot. I only need / want a little separation from ball to forehead
Is there a way to make sure the ball is on the side so that my elbow is completely align to the basket like you did? Thanks!
How much do you charge for a jumpshot breakdown?
Ryan vs coach drew who winning?
Fye
what about closer to the hoop though if you shoot it this way youll have too much power right?
My shot has been so off lately and I have no clue why! Hopefully this helps
So when said ur body goes up as the ball goes up to ur set point, does that mean you knees also go up at same time
Do you still do Instagram form break downs?

I'm overweight so my mid range game is bad cuz I can't jump and shoot over players. Takes too much gas. XD
I have an issue with standing completely straight when the ball reaches my face?
When I shoot my right leg goes forward and my left leg stays back do you have any ideas what I should do?
reverse waterfall
Help i was shooting two motion shot but its like broke when i shoot one motion shot its good im 5'9 is it good to change my shot to one motion
Steph curry has the ball slightly cover his face. For me its the same its always been uncomfortable have the ball on the side of my face

Coach Im having hard time putting the ball on my shot pocket at pull ups, I often having low release point so I miss always. Any tips or drills?

Is it bad to bring the ball up the middle of your body instead of the right side of your face?
Depends how much your shoulder dips or elbow flares
@@R2bball I tried shooting of the right quad today and shot the best I have ever. Good looks.
