My first weakfish was caught on a bass worm (jighead and a stinger hook), and my 1st striped bass was caught on a squarebill crankbait. If you "match the hatch", you should be good! The 1st lure my son reaches for in saltwater is a chrome rattletrap! I've caught plenty of fish on them when they're chasing peanut bunker!
Those mangrove snapper or we call them mangrove jacks put up an awesome fight when there larger you should target them one day they taste beautiful to 👍
