I love his book "what to say when you talk to yourself". I have seen the impact of negative self talk and how disastrous it can be and the benefits of positive self talk. This book should be required for everyone. Me and my children are listening to his self talk messages everyday.

I am so glad that you are introducing your children to positive self talk. that is something that I have been working on with my children as well.

@@evanherrman keep up the good work buddy. Shad is amazing. Listening to ya right now is inspiring. I've been listening for almost 6 weeks and I don't know if any changes occured but I'm on for the long haul. The time will pass any way and Shad is so sincere. That helps greatly .It's breathtaking to see how much he truly just wants to help.
He never changes and I've read his books and watched any interview I can find .
      Hope you're doing well.

It was great to hear Dr. Helmstetter himself speaking about self-talk. I have very bad self-talk to the point of almost destroying my marriage. It isn't easy to create the new pathways. 😕 Its so much easier to be down on myself. But I'm reading and remembering to talk to myself in a positive way. Thanks for this great podcast!

Changing self talk can be a hard task because we have been programming ourself for years. You can change it and I do believe in you. It takes time and consistence to have new self talk. You got this!

This interview was incredible, firstly I’ve recently discovered Shad and have read one of his books and will now read this one. He gives absolutely amazing advice.
Secondly, thank you Evan for bringing your personal aspect to this, I can relate to you so much and it was like Shad was answering my questions too. Thank you both
