My mother has one Corsa with this engine. Even her says it's catastrophically slow, and it's not particularly economical. Apart from that, is comfortable, handles well and the steering, pedals, gearbox are a joy to use.
I work in an Opel dealership. The difference between Corsa D and E are sooo huge. In my opinion the Corsa E is the best Corsa that I've driven. I've never driven the new Corsa F with that 8 Speed-Automatic but I'm curious and existed what it's like to drive :D
@@chriskonte1909 do you know the differences between the 1.2 engine in Corsa D and E? Are there mechanical differences or it's just a remapping? I ask because in the D it has around 85hp, and in the E it has only 70hp.
@@PlanetNr4 The only thing I've noticed that I don't like any gasoline engine type in the Corsa D they have the worst delay of any manual car. Super slow and clunky no matter what hp version you buy. The diesels are zippier. But I think that could be due to a bad programmed gaspedal they are controlled by an electroical sensor that like many GM products could opperate slow. But I also said the Corsa E is a really good car you can easily compare it to a Skoda Fabia a Ford Fiesta or a Renault Clio. But I'd go for the 1.4l 90hp version they are the best when it comes to reliabability and horsepower. The 1.2l still feels a little underpowered but far better than in the D and the turbo chargedversions are not made for city driving in my oppintion you do have to care more for them cause in the end it's a GM-Product and they're can last a while but a turbo in this case means that you should drive them warm and cold take them on a highway every once in a while and change the oil a little earlier than normal 10.000 - 12.000km or of course every year.
I mean from my research, it seem 1.2 Corsa E (2015+) is the worst engine, the 1.0 90hp is actually better even with cilinder less, 1.4 hp next, then all the 100+ hp ones (wich no longer exist in 1.2)
I'm not sure yet, but so far it seems the 90hp 1.0 (turbo) 3 cilinder sounds better then this 70hp 4 cilinders. Hell it sound even worse then 1.2hp Corsa D 86 hp. With bad sounding i mean the typical high pitch and to quickly going high rpm and while in rpm not giving much confidence.

I have one from 2016 and I agree with what you say...
@@lukask2907 mine was also a 2016 and was jst dreadful the engine jst makes a weird droning sound all the time and it is painfully slow.

good car, good test. I like these little Opel, I remember my old 87 Opel Corsa 1.3 GT...:)
Sweet, I have also one from 2015, without the tactic stuff in between, but also quite good. 1.4. white pearl, is georgeous to drive indeed.
Oooh man, thanks for posting this! Too bad its not a 1.4 Turbo with 100 or 150 PS,that would have been awesome. Thanks again for posting!
Are you still driving the Corsa 1.2? If so, are you satisfied? How many kilometers has he run in the meantime? Any Problems ? thanks
At this video your maximum speed was 65 km/h.
alle 50 m eine rote Ampel , was ist das denn für eine Stadt ? da ist man ja als fussgänger schneller
Remshit (Remscheid)
Let’s go
Nice car to drive, smooth, reliable and economical but slow as a motherfucker!

Gggggggggg
Car noise level is unacceptable.
At first I thought it had a diesel engine.
