what style is this? is it a hybrid? grandmasters with no go faster stripes on their uniforms? just curious. i initially trained in tkd from, 1980 to 1985.
I trained in the 80s and that was the UKTA style we trained under. When the TAGB took over it became far more sport oriented. So I thought I might as well go and do proper kickboxing/Muay Thai instead.. fell out with TKD in the mid 90s
@@User-rf3iq from 7.26 there are patterns. They are performed badly in tipical tangsoodo manner. All this strange and funny culture of movements goes from their "grandmasters". Students by themselves can't develope the technick. They are repeting after "teachers". Poor guys!
The unconfortable truth is : Myay thai is much more effective than taekwondo in sparring. What's the point of all the forms and one step sparring when the style doesn't offer any tools to really fight ?

OK for all the haters out there. I'm very sorry to say this but absolutely nothing that that they did in this video would ever work on the were in any self defense way. It's truly a shame. I actually know people who went Overseas to study taekwondo And it looks nothing like this.
First off tk-d Is a sport The other Korean martial arts such as Hondo Mu du quan.... Please excuse me if I don't have the correct spelling. Those arts are or for self defenso. I don't understand your answer. There are separate Parts of taikwondo again it is a sport.
And to answer your question Fighting Is for fools If someone tries to attack me on the street I will defend myself and I will defend myself very well. I've had enough training. Maybe you should get some training and learn that taekwondo is a sport.
1. The Patterns are Tuls from the Chan Hon System - Not poomsae. (Which does not mean they are performed to a correct standard.) 2. There is no 10th Dan in the Chang Hon system.
Nice to look at. But has nothing to do with a real fight. Doesn‘t work as self defense. Wrong timing, wrong distance. I lost much time, training this nonsense.
Thanks for sharing! Kwon Jae Hwa Taekwondo with the originial Hyongs.
Great video !!
Suleyman Ates in jungen Jahren , mein früherer Trainer , ein Techniker 🙂
👏👏👏🦾🦾🦾🥋 !!!
Old school
Taekwondo ITF is TOP

Unfortuneately some ITF Style of ITF Hyung schools still perform the HYUNGS like this :(
Nobody spars using sin wave and if you do it would be a bad habit to stand tall between every strike.
One-Step Sparring is to demonstrate the technique of "The Way of Kicking and Punching", it's not considered a Hyung.
This is using natural motion, later called Sine Wave. The patterns today are no longer fluid but robotic.
As a student of kwon it shows technique and control which is the basic of taekwondo
How Bad are the Patterns to fast. ITF TKD is much better.
These aren't patterns. It's called one step sparring. The people are ITF

No sine wave motion in the patterns ...
Circus😂
The patterns are terribly performed.
The original hyungs, before sine wave. Just the Choong Jang Tul is correctly executed with sine wave.
In minute 23:26
To fast but tkd was better without sin wave

In this system patterns are only one element of the "Cycle of TK-D" with Self defense being a separate element.
says the person who probably cant fight

Maybe in 1986 this circus was the best, but now in 2023, the poomsae, s are to be performed correctly from white to the 10th Dan

😂😂😂
That's not Taekwondo..
What style is it if NOT ITF ??
@@gtsscott It is a version of the Chang Hon system with a strong Chung Do Kwan Flavor. ITF is an organization, not a style.
