This is a good arrangement. I liked that you gave every instrument something interesting to play. Not that you asked, but I’m not sure how I feel about that trumpet 1 part at 1:11. A concert A is pretty high for a Bb trumpet; I’d be concerned about trumpet 1 playing too loud to hear the melody. I’d consider changing the concert A to an F so it’s not so loud and it will add the third in the chord (assuming you want a D minor 7 with the C in the horn part)
@@timohupertz8170 I mean, it depends who this piece is written for. It's not in the stratosphere or anything, but I guarantee you high school players would struggle to hit that note consistently. My point is, hard to play or not, I don't think the composition would lose anything by lowering the pitch to concert F and it might actually gain something by keeping trumpet 1 and 2 in thirds.
@@adamb4610 1st trumpet highschool players should be able to hit that concert A. Most marching band arrangements top out a concert Bb for first trumpets
@@kevinsarow8655 Yes, definitely! But typically trumpets (especially younger players) play quite loud in that register. I would just worry about it sounding louder than the melody in trumpet 2’s part
