I don't think she had a choice. She did everything she was capable of to grant his wish. I think the idea is that she's a god of this universe. Sending him to another universe is beyond her.

Great twist but can I just say? The way she was so proud of herself and answered everything. Especially when she ran up to him and said "I did a good job, didn't I?" with the biggest satisfed smile was so precious and adorable.

I once read a manhwa who started as an isekai and ended up as a time loop, the plot twist that the MC didn't travel in another world but instead died and was resurected into the future was insane to me
My theory is the end of the series is him giving enough believers to Mitima for her to send him back to modern day three days latter so he can take over for his dad as a cult leader, just like his dad wanted and predicted
