Hey you did a great job constructing the 1/2 face cord rack. You’re going to love your space in the new garage. You have some painting to do yet. Coming along good. Hopefully the move will be soon. Take care Mr. Mike.
That’s a good looking rack Mike! When I seen this was a build video I was like……. (Please refer to my last video)😁 Here’s a building tip for ya, making sure your building surface is flat before you start will make the job a lot easier. It looked like that one corner was a lot lower than the others.🤔🤣 I hear that Deck Screw Conservatory memberships have declined in recent years. And as far as on the subject of length goes, she totally agrees with you!😁Great video Mike. Take care!👍🏻
Hey Rod! Welcome to the party! Thanks for the building tip 🙄. Directly from the pages of a Frank Lloyd Wright book 🤣. Thanks for watching! DSC membership dues are coming up, just so you’re aware. 👍
Mike, make the bottom 2x4 'runners' about 90". so they extend beyond the uprights 18" on left & right side; and then attach cross bracing on the outside of 4' bay. That allows for unobstructed stacking in 4' area. No need to have a Face cord rack; just have multiple 1/2 Face racks
Hi Dale! That’s a good idea! Most all of our sales at the roadside are 1/2 FC and smaller. I don’t think I’ll build another full FC rack. Thanks for the comment and idea!
I can definitely feel your frustration. It's hard working alone sometimes when having to hold long pieces in place, while trying to NOT screw into another screw hidden by what you're currently trying to attach 😂😂 nice work though, and love the hat!!!
😂😂 You definitely threw a meatball down the middle for comments.. Nice looking stand 👌🏻 Glad to know I’m not the only one who gets frustrated trying to get the screws to bite 🤬
Like I said in the video, I’d rather hire it done or buy it on Amazon rather than spend hours making something I’m going to have to fix or throw away in 6 months. Hopefully this rack last as long as the others! Probably has good shirt mojo!
That is one good looking pole building! I’m jealous yours is bigger then mine😂 Those 1/2 face cord racks are just a money maker. Where did you buy the $75.00 sign. 👍TCT
Hi Tony! I think that’s what she said?! 😂. The 1/2 face cord seems to be crowd favorite. I plan on making a few more once I’m moved over to the barn. Alison’s mom has a Cricket, some fancy thing that will cut designs out of stuff via computer program. She cut out the $75.00 out of black, sticky vinyl and I cut small sections of plexiglass and stick it on there!
Excellent stand. But Oh my, the growth rings on that stuff is going to give me nightmares!! . Definitely makes me thankful I can make 2x4s when I need em..
@@KNLFirewood i had some salvage old growth fir last winter. Was 24" 60 foot long, but it was filled with cracks, rot and defects. so it was only good for wood. . Was around 40 years plus to the inch. So tight it was very hard to count.
Hey Mike , when you said longer than shorter , I swear the first person I thought of was Rod “ that’s what she said “ . 😂😂😂 you don’t even want to see my carpentry skills . Carl carpenter I am not . Nice stand 👍🏻🇺🇸🪵
Oh yeah, he’ll chime in here in a bit! As good as you are at fixing and rebuilding stuff, I bet your carpentry skill aren’t too bad. I don’t enjoy it and I’m not very good at it. I’d rather cut it up with a chainsaw! 🤣
Thanks for the kind words but my carpentry skill SUCK . I promise you that . My dad use to get so made at me . Yea , I can’t wait for his comment !!!! 😂
I am predicting the new wood rack will sell 10-1 what the old half face cord stand will...people will see it is taller and the same price and choose that one almost every time.
I wondered the same thing. The shorter one is wider, but same volume. And the 2x4 cross supports have settled into the ground an inch and a half. Who knows? I’ll keep you updated!
If you're going to construct, over construct. So you use as many deck screws as you won't. With that wobble though, you may need to start building wood racks for me to offset my crooked stacks😅.
Custom, unlevel, crooked and uneven are good descriptive words that capture the fabrication quality here at KNL. If you need something built that doesn’t quite follow spec..I’m your guy.
Ive got 3 $25 racks that haven't been touched for 3 months since i put it out. People rather grab 10 bundles than save $ and get 8 cubic ft of wood for $25. Only can get $5 /bundle where im at for 1.33 cubic feet which is still about $160/ facecord. Not bad when I split over 360 facecords a year. Normally get $100/ face for campfirewood delivered and $120 Mixed Hardwoods and $130 for all cherry, all oak.
Hi Tim! Thanks! My wife and mother-in-law play around on the cricket and make stuff like that. The “$75.00” is cut out of sticky vinyl and I apply it to some plexiglass.
🤭🤭🤭. More is better. Kinda like longer is better than shorter 🤭🤭 Great build Mike. I doubt I could do that good of a job. Well done. Nice. Have a great Friday Mike. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
Don’t forget to leave us a comment! Like, share, and sub!
Well done Mike!!
“Screw conservatory” 😂😂😂
Enjoyed the commentary!!
Hi Jacob! Working by myself sometimes the sarcasm gets pretty thick!

Thanks Allen! Finishing up painting today, overhead doors should be finished tomorrow. Electrician starts Tuesday. Coming right along!

The hat is what got me through it. I might have had a break down right there on camera otherwise! 🤣.
Good job on the stand.
Hey Marc! Thanks for watching!
Bigger is better, more is better, and when building something cussing is definitely allowed 😂😂 Thanks for sharing Mike, definitely gives me an idea👍👍
I am pretty proficient at swearing during a build project 🤣

I could curse right now about it! Two hands are just not enough sometimes. Thanks for watching!
Nice work Mike! My carpenter skills just get me by. Looks like the new rack is gonna work out just fine! Nice shirt👊🏻

@@KNLFirewood Now if I can only get Joanne to take her new Cricket out of the box and use it we might get some signs made😂😂😂👍TCT
Nice job
Thanks!
Nice build Mike, might have to copy your 1/2 face cord rack.
I hope you do! It's a popular quantity! Thanks for watching!
Excellent stand.

Thanks! Pretty fast growing! I don’t need lumber but once or twice a year, so running to the hardware store is good for me!

@BGWenterprises that’s slow growing
Very smart, build more of the size that is selling! My carpenter is at about the same level as yours!
Hi Bill! It's already paid off. It's been a good seller for the holiday weekend

Whiskey guy huh?
Mike your Bob Vila compared to me.Thanks for sharing though.Nice build.
Oh boy. We better not build anything together. This is not my forte!
Sell on my man., build and fill .., they will come . Nice job and cool vid. Mike . Later KNL. 🍺☑️

I'm surprised. Bundles don't move out of my stand hardly at all. The $25 (7cu ft) stack and the $75 (1/2 facecord) stack are most popular items here.
Do you cover the racks if it rains?
I do not.
Nice video Mike! Where do you get your stickers for the prices? - Tim

They like building stuff as much as I do. Not very much. Thanks for watching 🤣
That’s what she said! 😅
That’s what she always says. Never satisfied.
I can make some really nice looking stuff, but I can make some really crappy stuff also, most the time in is between them
I don’t enjoy building or fixing stuff. I can, I just don’t enjoy it. It usually costs me 12 trips to Lowes and lots of swear words.
🤭🤭🤭. More is better. Kinda like longer is better than shorter 🤭🤭
