I remember when I went to see the first movie in that now distant 2010. At first I was a little worried about being disappointed, given some previous Dreamworks works that were not exactly great. Instead, it turned out to be a beautiful, spectacular, and emotional movie with an important message. The bittersweet ending then, with Hiccup, who puts an end to the war between dragons and Vikings but loses his leg, was a really good touch. "This is Berk. We have dragons."
I nearly cried. HTTYD was my own little world I actually felt like I was a part of the adventures. To hear this version of the theme actually got me. 🥲
The first 20 secs in and already started crying, immediatley got flashbacks of toothless and the other dragons flying away into the hidden world😢❤ HTTYD for ever❤❤❤
Let me tell you a story. One day when I was wandering alone in the woods, contemplating life, I encounter a dragon. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. And it was a fury. Which one though? Night fury? Light fury? It was a Light fury! And a female no less. I could tell because of the shape of the tail fin. I slowly approached her but she didn’t seem to realize I was there. When she did she turned around on high alert. However. She seemed to show the emotion of… curiosity in her eyes. I was a little nervous in that moment but when I looked in her eyes, I saw myself. She was as nervous as I was. I tried to reach my hand out but she bolted. She also appeared to be injured. I later find out she had an injured leg but it wasn’t anything major. To get her attention I tried to get a reaction out of her by drawing in the dirt with a stick. She noticed and tried to mimic. When I tried to walk around I step on a line and she let out a growl. I instantly take my foot off the line and she calmed down pretty quickly. She was testing me. After a moment of moving around the lines I ended closer to her than I had before. I attempted to reach my hand out again but she growled. I try again but I look away this time. I let her come to me showing her that I’m not a threat. That was the moment she came to me. After that I made a cast for her injured leg out of some fern leaves that I had found. After some consideration I decided to give her a name. I named her Lightnight. Why I chose such a stupid name remains a mystery but if she liked it then so did I. After her leg healed we started training. We had the best adventures taking to the sky. We had so much fun. Finding dragons big and small on our journeys. But I knew it was inevitable. The time for dragons to leave for the hidden world. It pained me to see her leave. It even pained her to leave but I knew it was for the best. We had one last hug before she left. So long as she’s safe. The bond we shared, I’d kill for my dragon and I’d even be willing to die for my dragon. Many people doubt their existence as if they ever existed at all. We Berkians and dragon trainers know otherwise. They however shall remain that way until dragons can return in peace. I miss Lightnight so much. Not a day goes by when I don’t miss my dragon. We were the best of friends. For Lightnight. For the dragons. For OUR dragons. We will forever protect the dragons for years to come. Thank you for all the amazing memories that were created with you Lightnight. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you all for taking the time to read this. I know it’s long but it shows how much I care about the dragons within the HTTYD franchise. We are ALL dragon riders!

After just the first second, I had a flashback⚡️🔙 to this part of the first film when I watched it in my childhood. All parts of the film series are on the list of my favorite films and the associated series are on the list of my favorite series. ❤ And now I really want to watch the first film😅
