  • A Shabbos Shira Message
If you were at sea, what would you SEE?
    (Parshas B'shalach 2024)
In this Shabbos Shira shiur, Rabbi Jeff Wohlgelernter relays a valuable message about seeing the miraculous within the ordinary. Using the story of the Israelites crossing the Red Sea as an analogy, we're taught to appreciate the grand miracles of God so that we can recognize his hand in our daily life. The speaker criticizes our modern distractions, particularly cell phones, which prevent us from appreciating these small wonders. The talk ends with a plea for us to reconnect, be present, and have a grounded, appreciative outlook on the world. The goal is to live a life of gratitude, deeply moved and impressed by the subtler miracles around us.

Thankyou Rav. What a beautiful analogy with a great real message for us nowadays. So often we let the holy to become very common. Appreciate this sharing ! A reminder for myself for sure. We’re so quick to forget the wonder of our Mighty Holy Hashem. But He is so merciful and loving kindness that He sent you Rav. As a miracle for us delivering such a precious message to take us on the rails again 😊. Blessings to you and your family

The miracle of the sea of reeds is very similar to the Egyptian religion, the redeemed souls passed through the sea of reeds then judgement.
