  • Learn how to use FIJI (ImageJ) to automate a series of commands by using the macro recorder. A macro or script can be used to document the analysis procedures taken and apply these same steps to other images. Macros reduce repetitive tasks and speed up analysis for a large number of images. Part 1 of this macro writing tutorial starts from the basics: creating simple macros from the macro recorder.

@@johanna.m.dela-cruz You bet, keep up the good work! Also, was wondering if you can help with a problem I have with Fiji. The most recent update makes my workflow a lot more tedious. I need to apply the "clear outside" (under the Edits tab) function for each individual image in a stack. Previously, I could select my ROI, then select "clear outside", then Fiji would ask if I whether or not I wanted to apply to the entire stack, and I would select "no". Is there a dialog box with an option I have to check off somewhere to do this now? This would make my work much less tedious and time consuming. Thanks for any help!

Nevermind, I think my mistake was thinking I did my previous work with colored composite images, but it has to be done with grey scale images. I should really write down my workflow one of these days so I don't forget and upset myself! Lol! Have a nice week Johanna!
