You said exactly what I think every time I drive my X3. The faster I push it the smoother it gets...
It’s the wheelbase. It’s a whole foot longer than the yxz

Love my yxz. Around 3700 miles still stock clutch ran stock gears for the first year then did 70/30 and running 32s
Just traded my talon r for a 21 yxz ss no problems with the talon its just big for my area east coast. Yamaha has always built tuff machines

I would say yxz is more of of a trail machine with potential to be a sand machine I own 2020 yxz xtr and I love it it keeps the adrenaline high all the time
Great footage. YXZ sounds great, it's unique tone for sure. Got back home recently from Matewan area. Tried some more challenging trails too and had tons of fun. One night there was heavy rain and fog so it got a little sketchy but we managed to slide some downhills just fine as long as I didn't touch the brakes and let the engine break what's needed, lol. Hopefully head back down South to VW trails soon!

To have feedback on owners of a RZR, a X3, and a previous owner of a X3 is great info for folks who are considering a Yamaha and are on the fence on what to buy. Great vid! Love my 19 SS SE! Your description of the X3 vs YXZ was spot on! The X3 just puts it down, but the smile factor of that high reving in-line 3cyl being paddle shifted is an experience!
Miss your videos that’s for sure, and always good to try different machines every now and then, rumor is Yamaha updating the Yxz next year so will see and can-am x3 200hp should be out soon. I always liked yamaha and can-am and always had good service out of both. Keep the videos coming 🙏
I heard big changes coming to the yxz 🤞. Had to see if I liked the paddle shift in case they come out with something BIG!

Should definitely turbo it. I have a 2020 yxz with a turbo it’s another animal on the trails

Wow the Polaris sounded like it was falling apart and that Can-am sounded like it was squeaking all over. Yamaha the clear winner in quality and sound.
The YXZ is the funnest machine on the market to drive imo... I'm looking fwd to more videos from you with it

@@WvTrailN I've got a 19 ss se right now its only got a heavy fly wheel factory utv skids and system 3 xtr370 30x10 on factory bead locks I'm hoping this winter to get some more performance mods done to it but it's a blast riding in WV
@@justinjohnson1924 I have a heavy and a ultra light from my 16 model. Think I may try the ultra light on it for a ride or 2. It added a good bit of snap to the mid range on the 16. Lost some lugging power way down low tho.
@@WvTrailN I considered light but I figured with the added weight and size of the xtr370s I would need the extra lugging of heavy weight but if I get some more power out of it i may throw a light weight in and see how it likes it
What cracks me up about all these comparisons is that they never mention the price of these machines as tested.
An X3 turbo or Razor turbo R, are typically 10-12k more than a YXZ. For the money, there is no comparison; the YXZ is a superior machine.
On top of that, I challenge any stock Can am or Polaris to a 5k mile offload endurance race. You break, your out. I don't see a single Can am or Polaris finishing that race.
I do mostly Motocross and beat the hell out of my machine, over 6k, and still smiling. There are no breakdowns other than tires.
I have never seen a Can am or Polaris take this kind of abuse without CVT , suspension, steering, and basically the whole machine falling apart.
You can have your 40k sand dragster that only runs half the time.
In today’s episode a can am guy like the yxz almost as much as the x3, a Polaris guys likes the yxz more than his Polaris and the Yamaha guy still likes the x3 the best
🤔 maybe a future turbo will change that last part

Very cool. The RZR and can am guys I ride with like mine too. I feel like Yamaha really screwed up releasing the Gen 1 version with the too tall gearing. The videos of people burning up clutches on east coast hills and mud scared everyone away forever.
