Oh I see, so this is a song about unhealthy and emotionally abusive relationships. Things like constantly checking where he is, and wanting him to only thing of her ("Hey, if not me, who would you choose" sounds like a particularly dangerous statement), and effectively isolates him from the life he once had (as seen in 0:42). Love that part around 2:05ish where he sees her true nature hidden behind closed doors (aka their private life), and tries to close his eyes and shut his ears (doesn't want to accept it and be hurt), and soon she returns to the "I love you and I'll protect, but never leave me ever" phase of her character. It's a constant cycle of dragging him in and then hurting him, only to be loving again when he gets afraid and wants to leave. She's chaining him down, but he's become so dependent he can never truly leave her. The tragedy is that eventually this constant cycle of abuse ends in his own death, leaving him unable to escape. I don't think the death was meant to be literal, but rather figurative. At this point, he's been so broken that he can never leave her and her toxic love. Moral of the Story: If someone is abusing you, even if it's not physical, the best course of action is to find help. Sometimes, it's not safe to try and up and leave by yourself. There are people whose job it is to help victims of abuse. No one deserves to be treated like this, and, unfortunately, the cyclic abuse rarely ever fixes itself.
Oh,Is this English Consideration? I'm Japanese ,so I can't read them. But I understood you like this song very much! My English is very poor. But you read this sentence to the last. Thank you very very much!!
I would like to add that the mauled rabbit at the beginning, and the hanging stuffed animals at 1:33 might be hinting at previous abusive relationships where she’s ‘killed’ the other person.
@Fridge Cryptid Chippy I didn't think of that, you make a good point! The only reason I initially assumed that the mass was her, was because when he was "hiding" from it, she appeared in front of him (on the side of the monsters) rather than behind, so I interpreted that as her "returning to her true form, and shooting away her bad side", but your interpretation makes a heck of a lot of sense! Dang I love this PV!

A lot of people already talked about their theories, but I really felt like adding something. What DECO*27 showed us in this album is mostly the various "kinds" of toxic relationships, PSYCHOGRAM is no different in this case: this song tells a story about this girl which was, most likely, a sort of psycho - kind of a sociopath as well, I'll use the word "psycho" even though I don't feel like this is the actual case, because the girl hasn't actually killed anyone (or at least that's what I think). All the deaths in this MV are most likely symbolic; but first things first. What we see first is an hanged toy, to be precise a rabbit, then blood. Since the parents are never shown, we can safely assume she "killed" them - even though I believe it to be more of a psychological matter (but we'll talk about this later). We get immediately transported in what seems to be an empty room - despite it being filled with some kids' toys - it's not different from any normal room: except for the windows that are completely shutted down with some wooden pieces, light barely enters the room. We can also notice some posters that have been ripped from the wall (they look like a marginal thing, but we'll still take them in consideration). The boy looks confused and then the girl shows up. We get thrown in this flashback where the girl seems to be avoided by most of the adults and her surroundings - we can assume she either got bullied or her family just didn't understand her and her "face" (I assume they're talking about her expressions) so they left her alone. Her world was grey, until she found this boy that she seemed to like a lot. She lets him play with some toys she brought, and gives him only sweets to eat. The boy eventually "dies" and we can see her looking at him proud of herself, like she found a new toy to play with - a toy that would never get away from her, since he tried to, before. So let's talk about the various symbolisms I think DECO*27 showed with this. At 0:05 we can notice blood. We can safely assume that it doesn't belong to the boy, since the room where she "wakes up" in is totally different from the current one. It's really messy and nothing is in place, everything looks completely destroyed and there are still traces of blood. Thanks to the flashback at 0:30, I believe we can assume that the grown-ups didn't really want to have anything to do with her, they didn't like her face and the fact that she didn't want to be friendly with anyone; so this made me think... the girl probably already had shown some of her issues before, not being able to be socially active already was a sort of red flag, she already had to seek help before. Help that her family didn't give her - and when she fell on her knees I believe she was to the point of giving up, until she found this boy. The boy she fell in love with. We can notice that the colors immediately change in lighter ones - the boy looked like the popular type so he's given red, the "opposite" of what is blue. I think that the color choice wasn't random. Not even the bandaids that the boy have are placed casually: -the head: the guy got manipulated by this girl, he wasn't an independent person anymore - more than a memory loss I think he just got brainwashed into believing that the world around him was full of dirty people that would deceive him no matter what. "I was swallowed by foul filthy words. I understand, I totally understand! Because you know, love is enough to begin with", this is the key - she manipulated him into believing that no matter what surrounded him, the only thing he should believe in is love (and her) and the people that would tell him otherwise were just in the way - she pretended to *understand* even though there was nothing be understood to begin with. -the neck: the guy had no choices. No matter what he could say, the words would not reach her - no, actually it could be even worse. When you get manipulated by someone, it's really hard to talk. When that someone is really good with words you just end up with believing whatever they say and words just won't come out of your mouth. (Also we don't see him opening his mouth for the whole mv - he did only to eat that lollipop - for the entire song, excluding the end where... we'll talk about this later on) -cheek: this is kind of a stretch but! When someone gives you a slap on the cheek it's either because you said something that you shouldn't have (crossed the line) or to get you back into (her) reality. "Hey, I love you. It's too amazing, I don't want to give it up" - we can safely assume that more than being loved, this girl right there wanted to be chosen by someone. Having your family giving up on you and not being able to be friendly with anyone + the fact that she's probably mentally unstable brought to this. I'm not saying she doesn't love him, but it's something born from her sick need of being loved and chosen. Since she found someone that could satisfy her, she just can't get enough of it. This conviction of mine is also born from the fact that she always seeks validation, "if it wasn't me, who were you gonna choose?" but the boy can't reply. "It's becoming more VIVID as it gets heavier" the situation is getting out of hand. The boy is slowly realizing the kind of relationship he's living in, the books he's reading (and remember that she's the one who brought most of his belongings) might have given him the idea of what is actually true or not. The girl always gives him sweet food, we can assume they symbolize the fact that she's always feeding him the sweet "reality" that's being in that empty room and for that there's no need to leave. But, eventually, everything falls apart. The boy wants to escape. He looks like he really wants to, everything is becoming louder and he understands that something *might* be wrong. But all he sees are scary things. He got brainwashed into thinking that the "outside" world was a scary place after all. All the rabbits are simply a representation of the people that want to help him, but can't reach him because of her. He can't even seem to get closer to them because he's scared. It's quite ironic considering that it's the exact same scenario of the previous flashback. But she's there and she got rid of everyone that noticed that maybe something was wrong, probably with her lies and manipulative side. She tells the boy not to escape anymore from her - something *ticks*. He accepts her, we finally see him actually muttering something, he accepts the kind of relationship is living in and ends up in dying. Even though I don't believe the death is literal. He just got nullified as human being and became another one of her toys, the one she treasures the most. This girl is probably a sociopath with lots of mental issues; I don't think her parents actually died, they just gave up on her and so toys they became. She cut ties with the real world. In fact the song is sang from her point of view - and everything around her, except for the boy, doesn't look human. Except for the flashback we never see people, because she just can't recognize them or sees them as such. The room isn't also "real", it's the reality that the girl gave to the boy, a little box where she fed him up with lies and sweet words to keep him safe in her arms. The girl also has no idea of how the actual world works, that's why everything looks so... surreal. Like she's in another world of her own - this is probably due to her mental state; we can also notice by the words she use that she's still some kind of a child - since she didn't get the education she needed - in order to both grow up and interact with people. I probably missed lots of things I wanted to say, but overall these are my final thoughts. For the boy that day was just a very, very unfortunate one. For the girl that day meant she could've kept being alive, because "live" gaver her a reason to.
@@musiqlover961 I figured they were probably in a different house, again I think more than focusing on the daily life details, PSYCHOGRAM focuses on the meanings behind obsession and abuse -- my guess is that she probably cut them completely off or they just don't care anymore about her (I think it's also implied in the beginning where all of the adults just get away from her)
Plus! I also think the "house" where he lives in is completely figurative, it's not an actual house but their "relationship" as a whole, but that's just my opinion!
Wow this is insanely detailed! I was thinking the death wasn’t literal too. With the house being metaphorical though, I can’t decide if I prefer it that way or not lmao.
S0oo 3:00 Yea... I hate to say that I had a feeling that might happen the moment I start the video, but was hoping I was wrong. My nervous frown turn into a smile and turn back into a frown in a matter of seconds
okay I LOVE how it gets less intense in the chorus, the place where it's usually the climax. Makes it seem like the girl thinks this is completely normal as she calmly controls this boy. But the lyrics say a completely different story.
i just realized it can also be intrepreted as how we get addicted. like the bad stuff opens their arms to us, and we feel helpless so we except it. like i duunno, i need to sleep so i cant explain this.
I always intreperted it as how in absuve relationships there's moments where the abuser will be loving and soft, tricking you into staying longer. Making you believe it's all normal.
Ok, theory time. At the beginning, a pool of blood is shown, only to skip to the guy waking up. This could be the girl going and killing someone, but what if the blood belonged to the guy, and the girl knocked him out to kidnap him or something. He wakes up with no memory, and the girl basically teaches him false things, like how leaving isn't normal, and that he can eat sweets all the time, basically allowing her to keep complete control over his every action. He lost his memory, so thats why he doesn't answer when she asks him who he would choose if not her. Thats my physical interpertation for whats going on, but I think what the physical interpertations implies it much more important. Like Other DECO27 songs, this song is obviously about toxic relationships, things like being possesive, not wanting their partner to talk to others. It just so happens that Yandere characters seem to be an extreme of this toxic mindset. As for the ending, I don't think his death was *entirely* literal, because at the end, the guy finnaly accepted her and hugged her back, then the girl killed him. When the guy accepted her, she gained his full love and trust. She no longer saw him as a real human being, but a limp body to be manipulated, like all of her dolls. Well thats just my theory, and remember everyone: "Dont stick you're dick in crazy."
I don't think she killed him because of that, I think she wanted the boy to die loving her because in the future, the girl predicted that she can't keep holding the boy while the police are comming in (Which the part where the girl shoot the "toys"). All her secret will be reveal when the boy is save by the police and she will lose everything that she went through. That's why she killed him as to kept the boy love her (where when the boy died, he doesnt change his feeling) and the girl are satisfied with that and doesn't want to be rejected in the future.
I had always thought of it as the Girl developed some feelings for him as shown at the beginning: She got color, and this was before he supposedly got "Hurt" And then he probably could have gotten into some terrible incident, losing his memory, and she took advantage of this, locking him in some abandoned shelter, as seen with the boards over the window. And she tells him that she is the only one who will ever take care of him, and that leaving is dangerous. And so one day when he appears to just be reading, he hears something at the door and he goes to open it, then this whole situation happens. She comes back to him at the door with it open, she saves him from the fear that he was having, then the embrace happens, and my guess to why she killed him is that she could get to have him to herself, even though he's dead.
Well you never know, perhaps that is where some of Deco27's inspiration came from, or from other mediums. Like watching an Anime with a Yandere inspired Deco to write this song.
Now that I think about it, does DECO*27 even have a single romance themed song that isn't about fucked up relationships/things ending up really badly for at least one of the parties involved?
I also think that some of it doubles as a criticism of some dynamics that are represented in media. For instance, this one represents the yandere girl trope, and how it's misrepresented in a lot of media (even if they're crazy they often get the person that they're in love with anyways) and represents the "real" side of what a "yandere" is actually about. A toxic relationship of possessiveness and absolute control that weathers down the other partner until they're too weak to leave because they've become dependent on their abusive partner. There's nothing "cute" about controlling, abusing and manipulating your partner with lies, and I feel that this song really hammers in the point that it's not just a "here is your yandere song" but rather "the yandere trope is abuse so that's what the song is about"

Thanks for your explanations. I wouldn't understand without you

Not even the bandaids that the boy have are placed casually:
-the head: the guy got manipulated by this girl, he wasn't an independent person anymore - more than a memory loss I think he just got brainwashed into believing that the world around him was full of dirty people that would deceive him no matter what.
(Also we don't see him opening his mouth for the whole mv - he did only to eat that lollipop - for the entire song, excluding the end where... we'll talk about this later on)
-cheek: this is kind of a stretch but!
For the girl that day meant she could've kept being alive, because "live" gaver her a reason to.
how much time did you put into this?
@@averyepicguy too much for my own good probably. 😭 It's even articulate poorly considering I wasn't really fluent in english a few years ago..

I think all colors can be 'toxic' enough, like an acid. The same with people...
Blue also represents saddness and loss, while red represents passion. So it very much pulled a reverse uno card.

okay I LOVE how it gets less intense in the chorus, the place where it's usually the climax. Makes it seem like the girl thinks this is completely normal as she calmly controls this boy. But the lyrics say a completely different story.
The chorus is very soft and warm Deco (ala Ai Kotoba Deco) but the rest just slam hards. Very fitting for the girl haha
i just realized it can also be intrepreted as how we get addicted. like the bad stuff opens their arms to us, and we feel helpless so we except it. like i duunno, i need to sleep so i cant explain this.
I always intreperted it as how in absuve relationships there's moments where the abuser will be loving and soft, tricking you into staying longer. Making you believe it's all normal.

すきすぎてまた来ちゃった
Well thats just my theory, and remember everyone:
"Dont stick you're dick in crazy."
The boy did not even get to stick it into the crazy, he got the short end of the stick 😂😅
I thought that it was the story of a drug addict; the boy being said drug addict and the 'girl' was the drug.
Long story short, don't do drugs humans.
I had always thought of it as the Girl developed some feelings for him as shown at the beginning: She got color, and this was before he supposedly got "Hurt"
And then he probably could have gotten into some terrible incident, losing his memory, and she took advantage of this, locking him in some abandoned shelter, as seen with the boards over the window.

This entire album has all been about unhealthy romance dynanics im starting to think Deco27 has had some pretty bad luck with romance
@@404Ari Nocturnal Kids, Stickybug and the Ai Kotoba series are all positive lovesongs -
But yeah, most Deco songs do tend to end up... that way.
