also friendly reminder: near-misses at head level from .50 BMG are still deadly... yes that caliber is THAT crazy.
@@crustybomb115 I’m assuming it’s got something to do with air pressure? Not sure how else to describe it but I assume it’s like an explosive where even if you’re not hit by the initial blast, it can still rupture your organs or whatever with the shockwave
@@faintduch6630 yep, thats how bonkers they are... and thats not even getting into the additional stuff you can do with modified .50BMG rounds(like armor piercing, incendiary, etc.)
The .50 Cal Sniper is a Funny Random nightmare to go up against, your soul leaves your body faster than the Chinese losing their Social Credits with Netflix losing subscribers quickly too.

Yeah. That falling is what they call in the pilot business a stall. Stalling the plane means the engines are still going, but you have no lift because you are either putting too much weight on the engine, making unable to move the load given, or something is reducing the thrust in a different way. This happened a lot in propeller driven aircraft back in the day, and in early and pre-modern jets, because turning usually bleeds off speed, and climbing can also cause problems if you don't have a strong enough engine.

Another problem with the Avenger: the exhaust from the weapon can starve the engines of oxygen. So the trigger also rapidly hits the ignitor to restart the engines after they choke out.

@@markbaltazar6916 The attacheable smoke grenade launcher would also be a menace, as a large chunk of the battleground getting filled with an opaque gas is likely to trigger an existential fear, let alone give sufficcient cover for the KS wielder to pull up and get good Buck shots if they don't have good slugs on hand to use at medium range. Reloading *might* be especially problematic unlike with the trench gun, but three people in a row getting a bowling ball sized hole in their now dead bodies with one slug shot can make up for that in many ways.

It is entirely possible for fish to drown in ocean if it ends up in a low oxygen “shadow zone”. Or in a overgrown lake for same reason.
Another thing about the A-10 and it's gun causing lift issues.
The gun shoots so fast and such a large round that the gun will cause the engines to stall due to a lack of oxygen, thus effecting thrust
As someone who had to mule a .50 before, can confirm that everything becomes a nail to the overgrown sledgehammer on your back.

This game is really fun. I remember playing the first insurgency with friends years ago when we nabbed it off steam during a free weekend. Couple months down the road they announce the release of sandstorm, and we just had to get it. The design, sound, lighting, everything is so beautifully done in this game, and Badger perfectly captures the chaotic fun with friends vibe.
I don’t know if it’s actually been tested for the A-10 Warthog of it actually falling out of the sky, but it does slow WAAAAAAY down when it fires so I would definitely expect it at some point to fall out of the sky.

The gun the A10 is built around has the accuracy radius of a football pitch and is both the plane's least effective weapon and the main reason it's had more friendly fire incidents than any other plane in US history.
The M240B is so freaking heavy, but it's tons of fun to shoot.

BMG is a powerful enough round to turn someone to a meatloaf from miles away. Another fun fact, in the US we range in yards, in other places its generally in meters, however the two measurements are similar enough that it actually doesnt matter much what you use. 100 yards is 101 meters approximately. that is approximately 1600 yards or 1700 meters to hit a target one mile away.
the a-10 has to keep used shell casings in the gun instead of discarding them, but not because of damage caused to the craft, but to help with the center of gravity

This video makes me think of Cornholepatrol’s videos. He’s done several on this game, I think, and LOTS of others like it. His videos aren’t reviews though, they’re more like…🤔 a cross between Badger’s snippets from his twitch streams, and Max0r’s semi-random meme editing, with an AMV because CHP’s videos are pretty short and play some pretty kick ass music.

"Killer robots" are always a last resort kind of thing and never used unless there is no other option like if a shooter is hiding in a kill funnel and is impossible to reach. Also the drones are always operated Manually with spotters for confirmation. And Finally the public outcry was so loud in San Francisco that they walked back the decision to use said robots because they're apparently more comfortable risking officer's lives than they are sending in a robot to do the same job.

Yeahhh the A-10 was the first plane in a couple generations specifically designed for supporting ground units, so it’s a fusion between plane and tank 🤣 that thing has flown home with half a wing missing, 2/3rds of the tail blown off, an engine gone… it’s got basic physical control systems as a backup for the hydraulics, separate oil systems for each engine, and the pilot is inside a titanium bathtub built to handle enemy fire from the ground. This plane will get you home safely.
And yeh the whole plane was built around the gun, which got mounted on the center axis because the same recoil that slows the whole plane down could’ve done much worse things if it had been above or below the center of mass. I think there was even a minor issue with the spinning barrels creating some torque that could send the plane into a spin at its low gun-run speeds, but they fixed that before the plane went into service. It’s still around today I think, it saw use in Desert Storm and other recent military operations.
Yeah, it is definitely a good plane with modernizations, but it is not fit for modern warfare anymore and being replaced by better CAS platforms. Would be awesome to give them to ukraine tho as they are fighting against the kind of military that isn't even modern compared to an A-10C.

Love you dude, but .50 BMG is not 50mm. Pretty sure they are 12.7mm rounds. An M203, the underslung grenade launcher you normally see on AR platforms? That shoots a 20mm grenade. The A10 gun? Pretty sure that is 20mm rounds. Big difference in calibre and mm
