there is an additive you can add to acrylic to make it more sculptural, I don't remember what they call it at the moment but it is in the same area as the acrylic paints. it can be added or you use it and paint over it and it can be tinted with the paints as well. Another option for other items are the Gallery Glass leading, or the Puffy Paints for fabric. Both of these can be somewhat hard to find in some areas, but can be stunning. Imagine a whole window or a border of a mirror that looks like henna and colored like stained glass! I will admit I rarely use puffy paints on fabric as intended, but thats what mixed media is all about right? Also, glass / ceramic paints that can be applied to a coffee or tea cup or wine glass and then baked on/heat cured to almost permanent. (the dishwasher will eventually make them fail so while food safe the items are hand wash.)
@@GopiHenna also, don't underestimate the power of something that most of us have in the cabinet. Corn Starch, & white glue. do your lines and either tint w/ paint/food coloring. I've used it to great effect to make salt dough "sugar cookie" decorations, and the cornstarch thickened glue pulled some great stringwork that mimicked royal icing piping. Bonus if you're a glitter junkie, just have to pour over and shake as you go or you can do your line work, dampen, dump the glitter and shake off the excess.
Oooooo I really am looking forward to my order. I still have several pumpkins to practice. Whoo hoo. 2:14 wish I did have henna to practice with. lol that is seriously why I ordered, I purchased a book “Henna Magic: crafting charms & rituals with sacred body art”. When I saw the book I got all the feels. 😊 if you know, you know. Blessed Be
If you keep the pumpkin inside it actually may last for a long time! If it doesn’t have any big cuts or anything, they tend to dry out instead of rot while being in temperature controlled spaces. We once kept a small pumpkin I got inside and had a “birthday party” for it a year later because it was still going strong! 😂
