Not sure Anyone should be listening to a guy who took 24 hours and needed to read the instructions to figure it out he had that thing in backwards I mean there’s literally only two ways it can go on and he chose the wrong one and filmed an entire review. I mean Come on

    • @stevethea5250
      @stevethea5250 5 ปีที่แล้ว

@@MrKylePopovich If you’ve driven several vehicles, you’ve probably noticed that some vehicle windshields are equipped with a tinted strip on the windshield. The strip can either be blue that fades out as it gets lower, or it may be a pixelated strip that fades the lower it goes. These tint strips are usually around four to six inches in height and stretch the whole length of the windshield. The purpose of tint strips The tint strip on the windshield is actually known as a shade band. Its purpose is simple: to provide protection from the sun’s glare in that pesky spot just below your roof line and just above the visor. That spot is notorious for being difficult to block when you are driving into the sun shortly before sundown. The reason the shade band is only four to six inches in height is so it doesn’t obstruct or obscure your vision when you are driving in normal traffic. If the shade band stretched any further down, it could cause a distraction to some drivers or make it hard to see traffic lights at an upward angle. If your windshield doesn't have a shade band, it's important to get one. It's not mandatory on all vehicles nor is it required if your windshield was originally equipped with one, but it can prevent annoying glare from hard to block spots.

Ordered two tac visor sets. Received different visors than shown on TV. On TV they show an easy clip that attaches on top and bottom. The ones I received clip on one side of visor. Clip immediately broke. I now have a set of Tac visor that I have to hold in my hand if I wanted to use it.SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

The reflective properties killed it for me. My sunglasses might block some of my peripheral vision but it’s not nearly as distracting as a reflection. Either way, love how thorough the review is, as always!

I got the other product he mentioned and I'll SWEAR by the night vision. I live in the south and not near the bigger cities of my area..when you're driving late at night or early in the morning before sun up and somebody with LED headlights comes round a corner and has their high beams on and refuses to turn them down since they didn't notice you till the last dang second cause of said corner or they are just a jerk, that thing has saved my eyes and my life a time or two on a sharp curve. Sure there are fingerprints and a tint to the color but I'll deal with it cause it has helped me big time in the cases I've mentioned. When you're in the city where there are street lights and lots of cars it's not really needed, back roads with almost no street lights and low traffic? Oh yeah then it's handy and worth the money.

Turk yes!! I want to see that too. It would be great if it worked on the brights in the opposite lane - and a bonus if it cleared that up enough to see a deer at night (which is really why I was considering buying this in the first place)

I bought something similar awhile back. I put it on incorrectly, but it helps me better, as I am 5'1". I recently had occasion to use it because the sun was very low on the horizon, and the visor was useless. However, since I put it on incorrectly, it helped extend the visor to where it cut down on the glare and the sun in my eyes.

I live in Indiana and drive to work around 5:45 in the mornings and 7:00 at night. Around 8 months it’s really dark around those hours. Many people do not and or will not dim their lights and using the amber shade it doesn’t hurt my eyes. So it helps me. During the daylight the sun bothers my eyes so I use my prescription sunglasses and the sun shade and it helps my eyes.

  • @RickPMandel
    @RickPMandel 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Something else to mention, after a short while, the hinges, for the most part, stop working, so no matter how many times you flip the visor up, in seconds, it falls again. In a way, because you're always fighting with the visor, it's as dangerous as not having anything, or, maybe worse.

I’ll say for me car lights blind me and my eyes don’t adjust very fast. Having the yellow tint just helps from getting blinded. Regular sunglasses will do the same but then everything is too dark, hence the yellow tint instead of black

Another great review. Laughed at the beginning where you put the visor on wrong. :-)
Loved the comparisons with the glasses.
I don't really care for the reflection. For me, it would be too distracting while driving.
I also would not be able to handle the fingerprints.
You made a good point about the setting sun and the Tac visor versus your cars visor.
I actually have one of the older HD versions, and I experienced that same issue, as well as that gap between the visor and my car visor... definitely noticeable.
Always look forward to your reviews! Thanks!

I don't think those yellow glasses are for reducing glare. I think they're for reducing eye-strain from blue light when it's dark out. Probably pretty useful if you're driving for quite a distance, and don't want your eyes to get tired. I don't know why they'd advertise those as reducing glare, it's more like what "night mode" does for your iphone or ipad.

I was thinking of getting something like this but now I am very skeptical on it and I don't think I even want to spend the money for it. I'm thinking I might just stick using my sunglasses during the day.. I love your review thank you so much for putting it out because I was feeling lost about ordering any of these products to try to reduce glare at night or during the day... I wear prescription sunglasses during the day but at night I'm still feeling lost because there is that glare from headlights but nothing seems to work at this point...

I wear prescription glasses but don’t have prescription sun glasses. I wear a good pair of polarized fishing glasses with amber( not yellow) lenses and can see just fine while driving. This product may help some people that need to wear prescription glasses while driving. Good honest review, something not seen too often on You Tube.

With the yellow, it just looks yellow. Bailey did look pretty cute though.
The day version looked like it worked fairly well, except when the sun is low between the bottom of the visor and the steering wheel.
When I initially saw that you were doing this product, I was hoping that it was something that could be used as a visor extension to provide coverage for the area where your mom and I have difficulties. That way one could put the car visor down and then the TacVisor to fill the gap.
And I completely agree that this product looked like the original visor product and not the prototype product.
    Thanks for the review.

FYI : see ... your test Tac visor warped too as mine. Reason for it to change shape was it was made with two layered materials. My bubbled under high heat in my car. The mirror side (layer) was the side to face out to cut down reflection.

I got that Exact visor, it didn’t do crap, I still have to use the regular visor.
I’m guessing it does good thru the camera lens, and the pic on the front of the box shows All glare gone! Nope, not at all.
I kept it tho because it extends the visor a bit, and that’s about it.

I was going to suggest that for shorter people, can you clip it to the other end of the visor so,that the visor can come down and then the Tac Visor could be lowered as well to bring it down even lower? Just a thought. Appreciate the review.

I noticed the night time visor is different between the older and newer models. The old one is amber yellow and slightly distorted, while the new one is clear yellow and not distorted. To add, there is a fuzziness around the light which passes through on the old model, whereas it is very slight on the newer model.

I like it because I wear prescription glasses, and it works about as well as sunglasses so I don't have to purchased prescription sunglasses. The yellow for night doesn't work at all. As for the 'reflection', it's like mild tinnitus, you don't really notice it until something or someone brings it to your attention.

Mine also scratched pretty bad from the dust too as back then I lived out of town on a dirt road.
I also noticed that the TAC one looks larger then the HD VISION.

when I bought it yesterday I installed it the correct way according to your instructions but I'm like your mother I'm too short therefore serves no purpose. I agree with you I don't see much difference at night according to your video. I do have the glasses which I bought years ago (very cheap) and they actually do the same as the night visor. The outcome of this purchase is that I cannot use it. I did have one day visor which I bought at Canadian Tire, I like it and will continue to use it.

I have a huge problem with driving at night - any type of oncoming light or even cars behind me blind me with glare, and I do once in a while I use a pair of yellow anti glare glasses, and they really help with my vision at night...
If I drive at night in rain, and oncoming traffic it can get so bad that it effects my driving...
So, while I like you review, I feel you don’t take in to consideration that some people might have some vision problems, or with other things, physical problems, that the product might help with!!

Kelli please, I bet you see fine. Try being 4'10". I can drive without a boost but lately I've been using a folded throw blanket and it's helped quite a bit.
5'4 is average for a woman. So sick of non-short people saying they're short for attention. Its like if an anorexic says she's too fat for attention, meanwhile fat people want less attention or taken seriously. It lessens the struggle amd message.

Great review. I think the night visor just softens the glare but still not great.

Daytime yes, nighttime, no. The tac glasses are a bust, too. I've tried similar glasses at night and they are useless for anti-glare purposes. Thanks for the thorough comparison. Bailey the pup made the review!

I bought the Tac Visor, installed it, and it isn't long enough to do any good. Even my husband who is 6" tall said it was too short. Wish I hadn't purchased this....

If u r short, use a pillow which I always do to see over the stirring wheel. Yes, I bought it and will be trying it out tomorrow.

Wow! Thanks. I was all ready to get the visor, but clearly not nearly as good as the TV commercial claims, finger prints, reflections and it doesn't really cut the glare. And of course if Bailey doesn't like it, my Golden, Oliver won't like it either.

Your right about the night vision screen. I didn't see a difference in glare just a yellow tint. And I also don't see a difference between the glasses and visor

I don't like using the night glasses at night, however they are great during the day when it's raining (no sun2) you can see vehicles better

I am an Uber driver and used the Tac Visor on NYE. My impression is that the night visor dramatically lowered eyestrain and I was able to stay our later. I admit that the normal night driver probably will not feel the difference, but if you drive professionally at night or you are taking an overnight road trip, the tac visor will help.

Your reviews & methods are the best I've found. Have you ever reviewed 'pepper mills'? I have not seen any if so. There seem to be a multitude of them 'out there' but I have yet found one that functions well. I've hoped to find one for many years & still am hoping. Thanks for reading this. Carol

Last one of these I bought as seen on TV product was from Boscov's and it just scratched up and hazed up so much . Ya could not even see through it . it got to be where was certainly more dangerous to use than not to use. But in the beginning when it was brand new I liked it.. it also clamped so hard on my original sun visor there still a mark to this day and I haven't had it on there in 2 years

I would put a small piece of clear tape on the edge (on a spot where it's not noticable) to avoid finger prints.

I was the only one who used the HD vision visor because my grandfather used it in his car but didn't like it so he let me use it. Some were in mid 2016 to 2017 he got rid of it

With the night vision - after a few minutes, your eyes adjust to the yellow and it stops being yellow. Just like using the night setting on your monitor. Lights trigger migraines for me and passing cars in the dark - absolute torture on my left eye. The night vision has been amazing for this. Their also nice in fog and drizzle. Now if they'd just make this visor better fitting - I can stop looking like a dork in the glasses. :)
