As a Oregonian myself, Samong and Lief (NW Fishing Secrets) are my two favorites from the local area and even overall. Marlin and Jordan over at Addicted Fishing also pretty dang fun to watch. And then the big dog Ace, for the longest time was based out of Boise, but he's moved down to the deep south, so it's just his bro Micah from High Adventure Videos left repping Idaho. Jordan of Addicted is a Oregonian, but he's the only one I know of that appears and helps make videos for a channel on TH-cam.

Hunting on the coast is quite the challenge and most hunters that are on TH-cam are not willing or prepared for what it takes to hunt the wet, thick stuff and succeed my self included so any hunter who does certainty has my respect because any game taken is quite earned most of the time!

For daytime Roosevelt bulls on public lands, your time is much better spent in the timber. The timber you filmed the tracks in is perfect. You just have to grind it out hiking through patch after patch between drivable areas.

If this is the late season coastal hunt, those legal bulls will be in bachelor groups separate from the herd. Gotta find where they are holed up at. Tough hunting for sure but it's a blast!

Classic conditions for the Oregon Coast Range, especially the North Coast Range, where the majority of coastal elk hunting is done here in the state. Always expect it to be extremely wet, muddy, slick and have plenty of fog banks roll through. It's actually one of my favorite parts of being there in the first place.

Here in Oregon it's tough to (successfully) hunt coastal elk during rifle season. After archery season and the associated rut, the big bulls hunker down for the winter and regain their strength. We've moved to archery because of that, but we now need to contend with the hot weather. Good luck and keep the fine videos coming.

Could someone clarify for me. In the video he keeps mentioning, hard to find a legal bull. However, aren't all westcoast Oregon OTC first season or second season elk tags either a spike tag or a bull tag (which also classify spikes as bulls).... or am i wrong about the spike being classified as a bull? So I am a bit confused when he said no legal bull, and shows spikes in his videos.
