      @@thomasabley8597 The Magna Carta (“Great Charter”) is a document guaranteeing English political liberties that was drafted at Runnymede, a meadow by the River Thames, and signed by King John on June 15, 1215, under pressure from his rebellious barons... It is the great egalitarian legacy of Magna Carta, that all are equal under the law, and all can be held to account. It is that idea that gave birth to so many of our rights and freedoms, to parliamentary democracy, fair trial, and a series of controls on the abuse of arbitrary power... In its 39th Chapter, Magna Carta states: “No free man is to be arrested, or imprisoned, or diseised [dispossessed], or outlawed, or exiled, or in any way destroyed, nor will we go against him, nor will we send against him, save by the lawful judgement of his peers or by the law of the land.” Chapter 40 states, concisely, another powerful principle: “To no one will we sell, to no one will we deny or delay, right or justice.” ... Yet Magna Carta is not a democratic document. Although it established the requirement of common consent to taxation, that consent was to be obtained from an assembly of earls, barons, bishops, and abbots - in the age of chivalry, not even knights were invited to participate... There is nothing in Magna Carta that prevents the enactment and enforcement of unjust laws; but it does elevate the law above the ruler’s will. Unfortunately, that idea still is not accepted in many countries. Moreover, as the continued existence of the US prison camp at Guantánamo Bay shows, even among countries that trace their political institutions to Magna Carta, perceived security threats have weakened the requirement that no one be arrested except under the law of the land, and that justice not be delayed.

    Regarding the last part, she denied Royal Consent on the advice of her Prime Minister. It’s a principle in constitutional monarchies that when the monarch acts on formal advice of her ministers, the responsibility falls on the ministers. In modern constitutional monarchies (and there are a few of them: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Japan, Malaysia, etc), the monarchs act more as safeguards of constitutional rights and as “influencers” (for instance the Queen publicly took vaccinations for Covid to help influence citizens to comply).

      That's not how it works. The royalty's a figurehead with no actual power. If they tried to order troops around, the army would just refuse, kick it up the chain of command and the royal would get a polite conversation from a Prime Minister. If they keep it up or if it's egregious enough, they might get deposed. They basically only have the power as long as they don't use it.
      Belgium's former king refused to sign an abortion law, meaning it couldn't become official. They dethroned him, signed the law themselves, and made him king again the day after with the understanding that if he tried again, he'd be dethroned for good.
      Royals have a lot of soft power, wielding a lot of influence and being involved in a lot of things, but they don't directly affect anything.

    Explain how she has the power to dismiss the prime minister and his or her cabinet when they are behaving unconstitutionally..would be according to the 1867 British North American Act of course.
    At least where Canada is concerned.
    Some say her authority is only ceremonial but the Royals say this is one power that is not ceremonial.
    As the Queen of Canada she has a responsibility to uphold the constitution is the kingdom of Canada. As well as her other kingdoms.
    Please check this.

      @@MazdaRX7007 she has, by virtue of the keeper of the Constitution, to never act in a way that subverts the Constitution. Every crown agency must pledge allegiance to the Queen, who had pledged to uphold the Constitution. It's implied that the Queen always acts in a way that upholds the Constitution. So pledging allegiance to the Queen, means, by virtue, the Constitution. This is our right.

      You may want to read up on it, it's got everything to do with your constitution and also with the style of your parliament.
      The sovereign of Canada (King Charles III) Can dissolve the house of commons but not the senate.
      On the advice of your governor general whom acts as the sovereign while His Majesty is in the United Kingdom
      Your constitution states the exact power your governor general holds on behalf of the sovereign. Your constitution states the following;
      "In Canada, executive authority is formally vested in the Crown (the Sovereign), and it is exercised in its name by the Governor General, acting on the advice of the Prime Minister and the cabinet. The Constitution reserves certain prerogatives of government for the Crown, including the powers to:
      give royal recommendation to bills that propose to spend government revenues;
      give royal assent to bill passed by the Senate and the House of Commons so that they become law;
      appoint holders of many important offices (e.g., judicial and diplomatic);
      dissolve Parliament before elections, and to open and close parliamentary sessions (at the beginning of each parliamentary session, the Governor General reads the Speech from the Throne, prepared by the Prime Minister, outlining the Government’s objectives for the upcoming session); and
      choose the Prime Minister (by convention, the leader of the party with the most seats in the House of Commons following a general election).
      The Governor General is appointed by the King on the recommendation of the Prime Minister for a tenure of usually five years which may be extended at the discretion of the Sovereign. As the Sovereign’s representative, the Governor General is the Commander-in-Chief of the Canadian Armed Forces, performs several ceremonial functions, and represents Canada in state visits and in other international events."
      Your constitution was written mostly by the United Kingdom🇬🇧.
      There are parts of the Canadian constitution that wad written only by the parliament of the United Kingdom and Canada isn't allowed to add or remove to that section of the constitution.

She owns but does not rule for she gives consent to rule to a governing body through a constitution made with her royal consent. For example, In Canada there was the British North America Act of 1867 but things took too long to get done so the governing body in Canada requested from the Queen a faster means to get things done and so she passed royal consent for the Canadian Constitution Act of 1982 which helped greatly because now Canada didn't have to wait for the government in Britain to get things done for them and Canada itself could now make laws and decisions by themselves, however, certains things still need royal consent but are few.
