I love to learn about people's life and people should be less afraid to saying things that are interesting! The first interview that I feel you really get to know someone on the flat screen. Thank you Samuel Jackson!
Great story of a community accommodating for the educational needs of it's people.
Mr. Jackson my deepest regrets that period of time happened. Chattanooga has changed a lot since then, I hope you know we love you and respect you sir.
I know what it’s like to grow up in Chattanooga 😉. So cool that I live where Samuel L Jackson grew up.
his choices in eyewear and headgear are always great
I'm from chattanooga
"What does Marcellus Wallace look like" ?
Why does he look like papa Smurf
Kelly's cluelessness is sickening - she's acting like she's never heard of such things before.
She's not clueless. She never heard his story before.
that african european woman is clueless....integration stupefied us as a people.
Did he say "Superior race" - Based on....
It was sarcasm, smart guy.
reading by the age of 2 and answering 4th grade questions..... im a little suspicious of that one
I was reading close to that level at 3-4. Same with my brother. Nothing suspect about it, my family just spoke to us like adults and didn't condone baby talk.
THE ILL PART: WE HAD TO BE DOUBLY SMART(being black), so honestly we were taught young, then taught some more after that. I'm no where near his age, but all my elders(who ironically were frm the south) & weren't afforded education, stressed to us young how valuable it was. I'm born/raised in new york and actually skipped the 1st grade due to all the "teachers" i had at home.
it's so racist that he told this story and made me feel uncomfortable
i hope youre kidding
no i am not
he said that "it was not that bad". and "I am just telling it like it is". dont get dramatic
ngNudraconis
but why do blacks always have to bring up the struggles of being black? i think it's racist of them to talk about it so much
I dont know. well, I used to think so. But racism, discrimination & struggle "were" real. Maybe racism is not so much today in America, but the remnant of it is still here. obama faced with violence & threats back when he ran for president. if someone in their 20s talking about racism, I'd just skip it. They're laughable. How old are they when America is really segregated lol. But its Samuel. he lived in that time. He was 18 or 17 I think, when Martin Luther King was assassinated. so he was telling it like it is. he doesn't play victim. its ppl who dont actually live through "segregated America" but complain about them being treated unfairly. they are disgusting.
