In Eastern New Mexico my sister saved a small dog the neighbor man had thrown into a snow drift in his back yard after his wife died. She climbed over his backyard fence to retrieve it. She gave it a good life as she moved to different states. Like this video - you can tell the soul of a person by how they treat animals.

My dog growing up looked exactly like her…his name was bushy and he was a hippy with his long hair and loved the snow. I miss him.

All I can think when I see rescues like this (besides "Thank You!"), is how could anyone abandon a dog like that? Especially in those conditions. So relieved Winnie was saved in time, but so many aren't that lucky.

Just a note. If this was 2023 -30 it’s a miracle this poor dog survived at all. It was really, really cold that week. if someone abandoned her on purpose they deserve to reside in the lowest pits of hell.
