Thanks, Sarah Jane. I quite like Revell paints for adding a bit of brush detail personally but using letters instead of numbers does mean there's often a bit of page flipping!
I've built this kit. It was a while ago. I think the parting lines on the body are annoyingly persistent. And be prepared to clamp the body very firmly to the chassis and interior. The body does not click into place like it does on most Japanese kits. But it's got some very pleasing details and looks great when finished. I also sanded off the moulded badges on the sides, because I thought they would stand too proud, and because I was worried that they might not align perfectly with the decals. I'm looking forward to seeing what you make of it.
I shoot the body in tamiya primer..then get out the gentle sanding pads. And surprisingly, the decals fit perfectly over the detail. Just don't use anything but water until they are in place..then decal set.
Thanks for the tips - yeah I have had to have a few goes at those mould lines. Fitment has been ok so far but I wish there weren't so many chromed parts for the engine.
Any idea what color you want to paint it? That will be another great build when you get finished with it. Makes me want to do a Corvette also...I think I have 4 or five in the stash...lol
Thanks very much! Yes, I have some GM metallic teal paint from Pro scale which was a genuine C1 colour. Revell have done a C8 Corvette kit which I may get in the future.
Error- I think I said this was a recently tooled kit. It was actually tooled in 1997, not 2017 when it was reboxed by Revell of Germany! Sorry!
Thanks for unboxing! Look forward to your build! 😎
Cheers, Richard. Hopefully it will be up next week 🤞🏻
@@BOABModels Happy Building!
Interesting kit of a lovely car, worst for me would be the Revell paint call outs, but look forward to seeing your build up of it, model on

I want the C8 as well, seems like it took forever to hit the shops.
