I'm loving the duo of Shadow and Shady already. And I've heard both sides of the heated debate and apologize but I'm gonna have to side with them both. They make very good convincing points about Sonic, especially him being too cocky at times.

I looked it up, the cannon purpose of Shadow's rocket shoes is to prevent friction while he runs, so his feet don't catch on fire or something crazy like that.

@@mureimasogie1177 If I remember correctly, according to the Old Texts (og Lore) it was actually his shoes that allowed him to run fast, because in one game Eggman switches them for other shoes and that makes him go super slow.
I could be wrong, though.
And yeah, Shadow's "skates" use his own energy to reduce prevent friction when he exceeds a certain speed. Because, let's be honest, he was supposed to have been engineered to be "perfect" so, while it's likely possible that he can run incredibly fast with normal shoes, the scientists probably did whatever they could to minimize variables.

All I can say for Shadow, he is simple and he would just get the job done and not goof around like Sonic with the jokes, the ways to mock, and even does something else if he ever feels like it. Cause after all, we don't always do exactly the same thing everytime cause we aren't computer programs.
Kinda how Sonic used a sword before, Shadow uses guns he can find or use vehicles to assist him if he cannot get to them alone. And Sonic also cannot do everything like swim for instance.
And who knows how Tails would react to seeing Tailsko seeing her again and helping him with his channel. I bet the genderbent characters never realized they were recorded in the first place.
