Actually, the roots are bright red because she previously colored her hair black. So the really red parts are the grown out roots without any previous color so they absorb the new color better than the rest

Unfortunately Color doesn’t lift Color so if you put red over black, it won’t lift. You’d have to bleach it to get the Color your hoping for. But the black streaks is a great idea to fix it!

It is wholesome to see Destiny and these sisters together and interact as in the time they lived all together at home. And the vlog is very edu-taining, showing deception and comical remarks (Cynthia afraid to look like Jacob). Btw, it must have been rather cold in the house because Shelly was wearing her vest inside! It was a real treat that so many of the moved out kids were in the latest vlogs. You gotta use Hicolor by L’Oreal from Sally’s it’s a red hair color made for dying darker hair. It lifts and colors at the same time!!! I use the shade magenta!
I’m glad it worked out in the end. I think I’ve only dyed my hair one time and it was just highlights but when I was a kid, my mom put the washable stuff in there that would last 10 washes. And that only happened once as well. So, I am super glad that destiny was in the video

A tip to get hair dye out of clothes. If you spray hairspray on the parts of your clothes that have hairdye before you wash it. The hairdye will come out in the wash. I have done it so many times. Also black hairdye is the hardest color to get rid of or change. I prefer a dark brown almost black. I LOVE the way your hair turned out!
When in doubt, head to a reputable salon to have your hair dyed. Some situations are complicated. Don't give up on the color because it was cute, but yeah, the top looked like it was sprouting color. I think you guys were so close to nailing it because in the light, you could see the beautiful cherry red all throughout.
A trick my instructor gave me in beauty school, was to apply any lotion or conditioner around the hair perimeter before applying your color. After you have applied all of your color, wipe the lotion and color off the skin. No staining.. try it

Cynthia feeling cooler than others is the result of slower blood circulation which is fine and happen to some people ........... my older sister will feel cold in some hot summer days while my brother's skin and my skin became dry so, the doctor adviced us to add spicy food and do more fitness exercise which can warm up the body and speed up blood flow
Just a friendly word of advice color doesn’t lift color so going from a dark color you have to bleach or strip the darker color in order to get the red you’re looking for ❤❤

If she still wants it noticeably red, please tell her to do L’Oréal HiColor red for Dark Hair Only. That lifts the dark hair while also dying it red. Her hair was too dark to begin with to do a regular dye or before bleaching it. But with this dye that I’m suggesting, you don’t have to bleach it beforehand. And if she does try it make sure to get a few boxes of it.
I worried about what Shelly thought of Destiny's new hair color until Shelly showed up out of nowhere, saw Destiny's hair color, and loved it the gave her hugs.......relieved me...whew....ha

She is brave but it turned out pretty! I clean sinks and toilets with a 1/3 cleaning vinegar, 1/3 dawn dish soap, 1/3 water in a spray bottle. Everything else I clean with Norwex or e-cloths which clean with water and kill 99% of germs. Those are good for 300 washings. In a pinch I'll make a homemade soft scrub if I need something that bleaches out a little more.

You can try using L’Oréal Hicolor hair dye it’s made for dark hair to lift and deposit at the same time. It’s worked amazing for me :)

My daughter's hair is black. It takes a lot of red to dye her hair. It does turn out awesome though. Use the hair dye splat. That's what we used

You have to dye the roots and scalp part last. Your head is hot and if you dye the roots first, it will process faster.
