Stupid. The underground thing just hurts us. Less companies to buy from, and lower quality products, because it costs so much to make things for a small market. Even wheels cost $40 now. Staying underground isn't helping anyone, and it makes it nearly impossible to get kids and new members.... It's ridiculous when I see kids on scooters everyday, but they don't even know that grinding on rollerblades is a real thing.

I'm in the UK and the scene is like deader than dead. I need anti-rockers and there is like one place that sells them (Online) and they are £32 (About $40)
Even 4 years ago the products I was able to choose from SUCKED, USD Aeons I especially hated, no matter what I did with the liner they still dug into my foot. Such low quality skates, most just a cheap flimsy shell and a cheap liner to go with it. I had to go back to my og Salomon Vinny Minton's from 2006... that said my skating days are done for now. I never was great, but it was an enjoyable thing. I just can't afford to put myself in the hospital for something that people really don't care about anymore. Plus my favorite park and training spot got closed permanantly.
