This is the perfect ink…the color of the sky on a dark stormy day, the color of the North Atlantic in winter, the color of the ink in the old letters I have written by long dead relatives…it’s my color.
Oh yes, those are such beautiful correlations, thank you so much for sharing. I’m going to write this down in my journal. You’ve conjured up so many feelings and emotions with those descriptions. Do you have this ink?
@@adventuredenali yes, I do have it, it’s one of the first inks I ever bought…probably after seeing you use it in a video last year. It’s hard to say why one loves a color, isn’t it? Just saying “It’s pretty” isn’t enough. When I woke up today, before I even opened my eyes, I could tell the light had changed, that the relentless sunshine of the past few weeks was gone - it’s gray and darker out there and it’s going to rain. I love the rain. I think I associate colors most with weather, or nature, and the more somber shades of blue are so appealing to me. Prussian blue is a soothing, comfortable color, like rainy days and faded old denim. Sometimes I mix it with Diamine Salamander, which gives you a muted, murky green. I currently have this ink in two pens, a Platinum President and a Platinum 3776, both mediums (platinum medium nibs are very fine) My President model is sold as “burgundy,” though it’s really a rusty, brick red, and compliments the Prussian Blue ink very nicely. I would love to put it in my 823 but I’m just too damn chicken to it apart and clean it. I love that pen, but it intimidates me.
This ink is quite far from the colour i would usually pick up but you convinced me and i ordered a bottle of prussian blue. I just hope it is going to perform well with japanese EF and F nibs.
this vid is so helpful, I'm sold on the ink. But (not trying to be creepy) your smile, natural vibe, and genuine smile are also an amazing combination. they really lifted my spirit.
I'm actually writing a paper on Frankenstein right now - and have called it a day on my essay writing activities to relax and unwind with some pen videos. Your quote is hilariously well timed.
When you described the ink as a dusty chalky blue, I realized you described my current favorite ink; Lennon Tool Bar Atmospheric Night Sky. It is such a chalky blue that is almost purple, or periwinkle if you will. But it's also permanent/waterproof! So - perfect for journaling. :) Also, I'm currently using blank tomoe but you're making me miss Leuchtturm! That is my other favorite paper for sure. And lined! I miss the ease of lines.
I tried out and bought the pen based on your recommendation. I got the medium nib because I found it to be smaller than western nibs. So the medium was closer to a fine and offered that right amount of feedback. I really liked the amber color pen which is closer to a brown than yellow and went with the Montblanc James Purdey Cigar Ink (a darker, almost saddle leather color brown). The pen writes beautifully on my Rodea day planner and Leuchtturm 1917 journal.
Ooh! I got a Leuchtturm 1917 and it's completely ruined me on other notebooks. I recently began writing with a fountain pen again and I *love* it. Just scribbling with a LAMY Safari, but I suspect I'll upgrade before long.
Oh how I also love good combinations! I don’t have a favorite pen…yet! The leuchtturm pocket is my all time favorite journal, hardcover, and my favorite color blue ink is J Herbin, Bleu Des Profondeurs.
It is not only about content. It is your good taste -- on all things that we appreciate in your videos -- that made your your presentations so unique and pleasing, besides being thorough and clarifying. Thank you for this!
I love my 823 with Diamine Writer's Blood - I can't explain it but that deep crimson color just does it for me. I'll have to try Prussian Blue. Thank you again for sharing!
All so inspiring! Pen, ink, paper, your presentation and yourself. I'll go after the combination, and look for your other videos. I guess most who left comments here also turned totally to ink pen writing, as I did 2 years ago, love to write, and to improve or confirm their ink-pen-paper choices. Thank you
I'm so happy to finally find someone else who isn't fond of Tomoe for everyday everything! As fun as the paper is when I want my inks to shimmer or shine, sometimes you just need a little grit and a pen that fits in your hand. 👌
I only use Tomoe in journals and letter writing; for every day writing, I use Baron Fig Confidant or Vanguard notebooks, or their Mastermind desk pads.
I also have small handwriting. My pen of choice is the Aurora Afrika, which is beautiful and light to hold, with an 18-carat extra fine nib. It is simply a joy to write with! Noodler's Ink Turquoise is the everyday ink, but I use the Noodler's Ink Apache Sunset ink with my Parker Desk Set pen (1930 vintage) when I am feeling demonic... it feels like I am writing with flames. The paper is Tomoe River. It feels nice. I have Aurora ink, but it seems like it never dries on the paper. Montblanc & Waterman inks of a variety of colors to mix things up from time to time. And a big old-fashioned blotter. Clonk.
Gotta admit, I was certain it was gonna be Diamine Ancient copper for the favorite ink. Right now I think that is mine. It is a beautiful ink, but I am still quite new to the fountain pen hobby, so there is a lot more I need to explore. Def thinking of getting some Robert Oster inks next.
I must say your handwriting is just superb. I am also a small writer but your combination of cursive penmanship and small writing just blows away anything I have seen in a long while. Definitely agree on the Leuchtturm 1917 A5 notebook as the best notebook and paper for some of the same reasons (hard cover, spacing, page numbering, paper quality and wonderful feedback when used with the perfect fountain pen) as you've mentioned. For me, my EDCs' vary between my three favorite inks, Diamine Majestic Blue and Aurora Black / Edelstein Onyx (business inks) but Majestic Blue has become my everyday favorite. For me, Pilot Custom Kaede Maple Fountain Pen with a 14k Gold Fine Nib just feels perfect although a bit lighter than I would like. In fact, majority of my favorite pens are Pilots, Platinum and Sailors due to how nicely they write and all some small measure of feedback which I feel enhances the writing experience. My Pilot 823 unfortunately is suffering from a Baby Bottoms issue which hope to address once the Pandemic subsides.
Thank you for this! I got my 823 a month ago and love it...feel validated that you love it too! The ink that came with it is lovely, but am just beginning to explore diamine inks. More fun to be had!.
Agree on the paper. There is something beautiful how the ink flashes in the paper as you write on it and as the ink dries. Also love how quickly the ink dries on the paper
Calligraphy was an outlet or introduction into writing for me because I grew up dyslexic and had lots of complications with reading and writing. Very fun to watch your videos. Thank you for sharing.
I struggled internally with writing but in actuality, writing is where I become my most true self. Reading is a struggle but non fiction I can gobble up and retain all in no time. I always fantasize about reading Tolstoy, I haven’t since college, but it gets so frustrating. Love your site
I just wanted to come back to this video, because your video inspired me to get the Pilot Custom 823. I am using it almost every day and haven't regretted getting it for even one minute. Thank you
Ah, what a lovely dusty blue! That ink was not on my radar, but is surely now. I love the Leuchtturm paper and journals. I do wish they had a B6 slim or A5 slim/regular TN size, and slightly whiter paper. Someday hopefully!
😍😍 Everything you say - 823 Amber (in medium though...perfect bounce), Leuchterm Diary, and right now DeAtrementis Grey....! You managed to somehow put into words everything I enjoy about this pen, paper, ink combo. The thing that makes writing so seductive.
Prussian blue is my favourite ink. My favourite paper and pen are Rhodia A4 #18 and a beautiful Pelikan EF “blue dunes”. This combo always puts me in a good frame of mind. I have this notebook and ❤rate it as my favourite in this size. I agree that the second “o” ring is a nuisance if you don’t fly. Problem solved.👍🇨🇦👨🦳
I'm using the same amber coloured Pilot Custom 823 with Iroshizuku Yam-Guri on the leuchtturm 1917 120gsm... but that Prussian Blue is so stunning I might have to consider swapping colours... at the very least I'll be picking up a sample haha. Thank you for making this video 🙂
Your voice is so soothing. Thanks for sharing! Seems you'd defnitely enjoy Kokuyo Perpanep Zara-Zara notebooks. Its paper has been especially formulated to give plenty of tooth and texture/feedback for fountain pens.
Love the ink and pen but surprised that you get such lovely results with the Leuchtturm notebooks. I find that ink feathers and bleeds on its paper. But kudos to you for better results.
Not surprised with the fp choice at all haha. I heard great things about the 823. My favorite paper is Victoria's Journals (not a fan of Rhodia) and for the ink, I found myself using a lot of reds lately or dark colours. I love Oxblood and of course, the Ancient Copper. Oh and Yama Budo too.
The 823 has a 14k nib instead of a 18k nib. I have two a medium and a broad and I love them a lot. They're my favorite writers as well. My favorite combo is pilot iroshizuku Momiji in the broad and Diamine Writer's Blood in the medium.
Thanks for this video. I enjoy all of them. I am surprised your favorite ink isn't a green color. My favorite ink is blue- Pelham by Diamine. I think I will try Prussian Blue. Have a great weekend! BLESSINGS
Well, I was already with you as my favorite combo is my 823 with leuchtturm, but with teal inks. However, I also like dusky colors and blues, so now I will definitely get a sample and try it. No wonder I like your videos so much, it looks like our tastes are similar.
@@adventuredenali yes, my favorite is Iroshizuku Syo-ro, closely followed by Ku-jaku. I love trying different inks, but I keep coming back to Iroshizuku in general and those two in particular. I use them for my journaling. I very much like subdued blues rather than vibrant blues - for example Sailor Manjo Kikyou is my favorite daily driver for my work notebook. And yes, I tend towards Japanese inks in general.
@@adventuredenali I love teals and teal-like inks. I do love the Prussian Blue for my blue. My favorite blue/green is Diamine Marine. It just gives me all the happies.
Dang….guessed the ink brand right, but not colour; completely messed up the pen, where I was thinking Kaweco or your new Pelikan 🤦🏻♂️ how could I forget the 823! It’s my favourite too. 🤷🏻♂️ Then for some reason I was thinking Stalogy paper when I know you always carry Leuchtturm. What is wrong with me? 😂 I’ve never tried Prussian Blue ink, however blue is my favourite colour so it looks like I’m buying some 😃 It’s also refreshing to watch someone who is not using the tomoe river every day as that gives me some other paper to think about. You were one of the reasons I got my first ever Leuchtturm notebook. But I am a total tomoe river nerd. Got loads of books with it. Some go back to 2013 or so and were handmade in Japan. Anyway, I’m rambling, thx Alicia 😃👍🏻
Love the 823. It's definitely one of the best performing pens available with the most beautiful smooth nib. Haven't tried that particular Diamine ink in mine but use Clairefontaine paper which I find a great combination. Thanks again for sharing with us.
I don't think I will ever find the "perfect combination ". Beside the fact that I hardly see colours, I still use different kinds of ink and different fountainpens. I have a nice collection of both. In the past years I have learned to journaling, I started with Bible-journaling, and I discovered the fun in it, writing again! And now I can't stop, use hardly my computer for that kind of work anymore. Even for my drawing I use a fountainpen these days, and usual black ink. So I think we have something in common, thank you for sharing!
Hi, it is one of the first videos of you that I see, I really like the way in which you express yourself, and how confident you look when talking about what you are passionate about. I was looking for a good blue ink color to use, and as I am not able to get many differents ink I have to be careful with my choice, now I think I would give a chance to the Prussian Blue you showed here, so thanks for share your experience and your emotion about all of this, please, never stop changing opinion be free and live more adventures. Many of us will be glad to see you soon. Nothing can change a mind but the fervor with which an idea is expressed.
Thank you for writing a passage from Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Tomoe River Paper can be a little too smooth for a Pilot Custom 823, especially with a medium nib, but every pen and ink combination varies with it. Thank you for your video presentation. Take care.
Diamine inks are just out of this world incredible!!! great pick. Two of my favorite are the Diamine Blue Velvet and Tudor Blue....deep dark chalky matte blues!!!! love them.
This video must be for me. Thank you. I recently received a Pilot 823 and have been using the lueuchturrm notebooks for years. But not all inks work well on it. I am looking forward to trying the Prussian Blue!
I've always preferred medium nibs, and I've been using a lot of nib stubs these days; but for journaling, and writing in pocket notebooks in general, it's hard to beat Pilot's F/EF nibs, both in gold and steel. Thanks for sharing (=
Hi Nelson, I'm hesitating between a Pilot 823 in a Fine nib or a Medium. I'm usually more of a Medium nib person but I've read great things about the Fine. Unfortunately I cannot try them out in person to compare the two sizes before ordering one. Have you tried both the F and M nibs with this pen? If so, would you mind sharing your thoughts on how they compare in terms of writing experience? It'd be very helpful. Thanks!
Realty enjoyed this video. Just subscribed this morning after watching this video. I got into fountain pens a few years ago after I bought my first Lamy Safari (sort of an electric yellow/green w/ EF nib) and have continued to expand my “collection”. I have way to many but I try to use them all, rotating them every week or so, and that sort of justifies my continuous acquisitions. I will have to say that TWSBI is my favorite brand…just fell hard for the piston pens and the prices have really never killed my urge to buy. As for ink, I absolutely love Diamine Ancient Copper but have opted to use TWSBI’s Sapphine Blue for daily use. My favorite pen? That’s a hard one! It changes every time I get a new pen lol. Opus 88 Demostrator, TWSBI Prussian Blue Diamond 580ALR, Diplomate Aero…goodness…and thirty more I could name! Unfortunately I’m hooked on EF or F (depending on the manufacture) though I have tried broader nibs it doesn’t work out for me because I have tiny handwriting. Last is paper. I tend to buy lots of Rhoda notebooks and notepads. I don’t know how many times I’ve attempted to start journaling! It’s a huge fail on my part…I’ve taken to my iPad for that using DayOne. I really want to give it another go though…any suggestions on how I can stick with it? As I said before, the vid was very enjoyable, and I’m gonna finish up with the rest of them this week.
I too love the Leuchtturm notebooks, for all the reasons you mention (although I do use the Index). My "go to" is dot grid, B5 soft cover notebooks - B5 just because it is big enough for me to use it for my diary - monthly and weekly. For pen and ink my go to are an Edison Collier (I love the size) in a now sadly discontinued colour and with a custom stub nib - proabably about 0.8 - which goes perfectly with De Atramentis document ink Cyan - I like inks and pen bodies that go well together, and prefer permanent inks. Great to hear what your favourites are!
I've always used leuchtturm1917 paper and felt like it was my dirty secret. There's higher grade paper out there that I own, but after a few months switching, there's just nothing better for me. My hands shake a little bit and the texture of the leuchtturm1917 paper is perfect for dampening that. I like the standard paper and the 120 g paper. The 120 can take Serious ink and wetness and the standard paper I actually liked it it shows through and looks somewhat used up after you write on both sides. Also, I'm not a fan of the look of the 823 really either. I love pilots though. I love the pilot custom heritage 912. It's similar, but a converter pen. It can take the really large con 70 converter, and it comes in soooo many nib options and it has such wonderful lines, design wise. Modern but timeless look. In a picture it might just look like a larger version of a falcon but it's so much more. The proportions are wonderful the resin is better and thicker and the nibs are much bigger. If you buy straight from Japan on eBay it can be had for a very affordable price😊 My was in smoke.
I know many others don´t like the Leuchtturm paper for the use of fountain pens because of show through . But I definitely agree with you - it´s a really good paper, the pen is flowing over it, the drying time is good and with most inks I get a really nice result :)
Honestly, it’s a lack of brushing and washing… >.< I brush my hair maybe every 2-3 week wash it about 2 times a month, maybe? I’ll do a rinse though with just water throughout the month.
Ink, paper and pens are surely an exciting aspect of being alive but I also wish one could have the same beautiful handscripting as yours...good handwriting does justice to the passion of inks pen and good paper
I guessed the pen and the notebook correctly. But I would NOT have guessed that ink hahaha! I thought you would say it is one or the other RO inks :o or oxblood/ ancient copper, mayyybe. Pen also my guess was a toss up between Parker Duofold and this one 😁
You are the first one to re-inspire me to get into fountain pens again. One of your earlier reviews on the 823 and how it was your favorite kickstarted me back into writing and really doing it for pleasure. The Pilot Custom 823 is still my most wanted pen, I decided to start cheap and appreciate some differences between them. I also bought a few different inks and notebooks. I was wondering if you had sampled a lamy hard back notebook? They too have an elastic book keep, and two nylon type book markers. It is the closest thing I have yet to your notebook and it has very similar attributes paperwise. Having seen the grid on mine I think I prefer grid now to keep my lettering neat.
Diamine has some of the best choice of colors/finish. I just wish they were a bit better lubricated. Thank you for introducing me to Prussian blue. I overlooked it and learned it appreciate it from one of your past videos.
I couldn’t agree more about the feel of the friction between paper and nib. Love my needlepoints & crisp italics! You should try out William Hannah. Their leather journals & paper are insanely good. The paper allows for ‘crisper’ lines than the Leuchtturm but still has that slight tooth. Pricey but worth it!
Love the ink. One of my favorites. Prefer the Tomeo River paper. I have about 6 favorite pens but will often go to my Waterman Carene with a stub nib. I also love my Platinum 3776 Century in the Burgundy in which I’ve installed a Platinum Music nib. As you can maybe tell, I’m not a small writer.
Same with me about the 823: it's in my sights, it looks okay but I'm not enamoured with its appearance, but in terms of form & function it really entices me.
I'm not a fan of the way the 823 looks at all, and I had the piston break on two, and yet another problem with a third. But I use a fountain pen much, much, much longer and harder than most, never less than five hours per day, and often a lot more, and this makes a big difference. One thing is certain, The 823 has the best nib, particularly the soft nib, of any pen I've ever used under five hundred dollars. Maybe under seven hundred dollars. The nib is simply fantastic.
@@jamesaritchie1 the nib really is fantastic, I’ve found it really hard to beat as well. It’s a shame you’ve had issues with the pistons. What has happened? I write about that much a day as well, yet another reason a fountain pen is feels so necessary, such a light touch to get ink on paper.
I’m still searching, but my paper is definitely Clairefontaine. I was sure you would have said Rhodia. I am in love with Birmingham inks. I always need at least two colors. Still trying to decide about my pen, but I love the TWSBI RGII Mini in medium. I’ve been intentionally practicing to improve my cursive writing (I’m a lefty), but yours is so unique and beautiful I love to watch you writing.
I was sure your favorite pen was going to be a Pelikan, and Diamine Ancient Copper for the ink! But I guess this is about your favorite combination. I've never really thought I'd like Diamine Prussian Blue based on photos I've seen, but I'm going to give it a try now, based on your enthusiasm for it. (Also I do like dusty inks so I have high hopes now. I really like the J. Herbin pinks; they have a similar vibe. Maybe not dusty but similar somehow.) Have you tried Rhodia notebooks? They have a lot of colors and they recently came out with some with white paper--before, they all had ivory paper which was quite yellow. Just another suggestion if you haven't tried them.
I really like your episode title cards and handwriting! I think I'm going to copy/adopt some of your shapes :) Also I love how English speakers pronounce "Leuchtturm" haha
For me it’s Diamine Oxford Blue, a Conklin medium nib, and Leuchterm annual planner. Line spacing could be a little wider but paper is great. I forget the Conklin but it’s beautiful and just glides. The Oxford Blue is the first large bottle of ink I’ve purchased - have several smaller Noodlers and Waterman choices.
I tried leuchtturm after reading that Gaiman liked them. Unfortunately I completely hated it. My choice is pads with Oxford Optik paper. I also liked the Diamine Prussian blue, but I preferred the Blue-black by Aurora
This is a great pen and ink combination for this notebook. Do you have any other ink suggestions? I want to minimize the ghosting as much as possible, but some additional colors would be nice.
Interesting. I've seen others who also list a favorite pen. I can't do that. The reason is, it depends on what I feel like, what I'm writing, and what Impression I want to leave with reader (usually just me). I Like the Pilot Metropolitan for quick notes, and the Lamy 2000 for longer clearer notes, and the Montblanc 146 for longer, more exacting, meticulous writing. Though on occasion I do find the Lamy Safari to be just a fun write when I feel like something with needing funky creativity. As for the paper, I don't want the ghosting you mention, nor the bleeding and I like soft cover so I use Rhodia softcover notebook with Clairefontaine paper with dot grid. The ink is Iroshizuku inks. . . that was a more recent discovery and I will try the Diamine Prussian Blue you mentioned the color did look nice. Thanks for the info. . .keep it up. (BTW, great handwriting).
I love how you love this pen and how it brings it all together. I'm also a sucker for blue blacks and look forward to getting some of this Diamine shade to try out!
Could you consider putting a shining sun top right into page one too! The base of the page could slowly shade down to a darker blue. A watermark that's a palm tree leaning inward too. But, what to write? A recipe. Breakfast. Two poached eggs - 6.30s Four slices of ham, folded. Well-branded hollandaise sauce, two teaspoonful. Two slices of 400g wholemeal bread, Lurpaked A sprinkle of? You decide.
So I got the notepad a few weeks ago - love it! Got the ink to try this week. I needed cartridges from a pen I've inherited. It writes really well but is a smaller nib than I tend to use. It's a beautiful colour, just need to decide what to use it for. Might be good for small notebooks when I'm out and about.
thank you, I just tried this ink. I didn't think I'd like that color but now I'm in love with it. It is so satisfying to write with. It's really quite perfect. I write with Pilot Falcon SEF
What an absolutely lovely video. Your voice is so calm and soothing. Could listen to it for hours. Your taste in pen and paper is excellent. And your handwriting is lovely. Also, I'm digging that couch in the background.
Since watching your videos, I have bought a vintage Pelican from eBay. I’ve been trying to improve my handwriting, too. Thank you so much for posting beautiful videos. 🥰❤️

I too go with Leuchtturm notebooks, but I only use Sailor Seiboku and Sailor Souboku pigment inks to journal. I guess you would like Souboku too.
The Prussian Blue has a dusty, antique look. Nice with your beautifully classic handwriting, which also suggests old letters.
Calligraphy was an outlet or introduction into writing for me because I grew up dyslexic and had lots of complications with reading and writing. Very fun to watch your videos. Thank you for sharing.
That’s wonderful! How did calligraphy impact your writing and reading?
I struggled internally with writing but in actuality, writing is where I become my most true self. Reading is a struggle but non fiction I can gobble up and retain all in no time. I always fantasize about reading Tolstoy, I haven’t since college, but it gets so frustrating. Love your site
How intriguing you are! Everything you say and do is so lovely! Your writing is calming and your voice is relaxing. I'll watch all your vids!!
Thank you very much!
I just wanted to come back to this video, because your video inspired me to get the Pilot Custom 823. I am using it almost every day and haven't regretted getting it for even one minute. Thank you
I love my Pilot Custom 823. Just ordered the notebook and Diamine ink.
You really are sooo delightful to watch. Pure therapy! x
Thank you!
Ah, what a lovely dusty blue! That ink was not on my radar, but is surely now. I love the Leuchtturm paper and journals. I do wish they had a B6 slim or A5 slim/regular TN size, and slightly whiter paper. Someday hopefully!
It’s a wonderful “dusty blue.” It would be really cool to see Leuchtturm branch out and do some other sizes and designs!
I have Diamine Majestic Blue and Oxford Blue. Now I feel I need to try Prussian Blue. I love your handwriting BTW.
Another great video. I also love the color combinations that can be achieved with pen notebook ink
Fun video. I'm a fan of those Leuchtterm notebooks, as well. They're incredibly well made, and to me, the quality of the paper is a bit underrated.
Agreed! And thank you 😊
Your voice is so soothing.
Tomoe river paper is like writing on glass. The texture is like nails on a chalkboard. Definitely a fan of Midori and Leuchtturm tho.
That ink colour is gorgeous!
Leuchtturm is just delicious. My favorite is the dotted one
Awesome! Do you have a favorite teal ink?
@@adventuredenali yes, my favorite is Iroshizuku Syo-ro, closely followed by Ku-jaku. I love trying different inks, but I keep coming back to Iroshizuku in general and those two in particular. I use them for my journaling. I very much like subdued blues rather than vibrant blues - for example Sailor Manjo Kikyou is my favorite daily driver for my work notebook. And yes, I tend towards Japanese inks in general.
I should probably try Ku-Jaku to see how it compares to my favourites, which are Sailor Yama-Dori and Robert Oster Aqua.
@@RandyEarl I love syo-ro. I'm keen to try ku-jaku but reckon they'd be too similar. Might have to give it a go
@@adventuredenali I love teals and teal-like inks. I do love the Prussian Blue for my blue. My favorite blue/green is Diamine Marine. It just gives me all the happies.
you are truly a kindred soul who shares many of my interests: fountain pens, leuchturm, violins, type writers plus it helps that you are stunning.
You inspired me to buy an 823 and I love it! Placing a paper and ink order right now... Thank you as always for the great content and uplifting vibes.
Take care.
You’re so welcome! It’s one of my favorite books. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.
I am looking forward to trying the Prussian Blue!
its not only your content , its your transparent innocence .
Oh, haha, thank you!
Absolutely adorable
I've always preferred medium nibs, and I've been using a lot of nib stubs these days; but for journaling, and writing in pocket notebooks in general, it's hard to beat Pilot's F/EF nibs, both in gold and steel.
Thanks for sharing (=
Stubs are so enjoyable to write with.
You’re welcome, thanks for watching!
Gorgeous hand writing. I am a fan of Pilot fountain pens, and a lot of different inks. I like the journal because it is truly fountain pen friendly.
If you buy straight from Japan on eBay it can be had for a very affordable price😊
My was in smoke.
I spotted the dress colour link before you mentioned it (but not the glasses!) Lovely video x
Haha!
I know many others don´t like the Leuchtturm paper for the use of fountain pens because of show through . But I definitely agree with you - it´s a really good paper, the pen is flowing over it, the drying time is good and with most inks I get a really nice result :)
Great favorites! I ❤️ pilot 823 - brilliant pen, great diamine inks, and the paper is awesome. Great video.
Nice, but I wish I knew how you keep your hair looking wild, but also clean and attractive (?)💁🏼♀️
Honestly, it’s a lack of brushing and washing… >.< I brush my hair maybe every 2-3 week wash it about 2 times a month, maybe? I’ll do a rinse though with just water throughout the month.
@@adventuredenali ~ You must have very good hair-genes. If I followed that “regimen,” I’d look like an octopus had died and dried on my head!💁🏼♀️
I have almost exactly the same favorites - I can't settle on a favorite ink though!
Ink, paper and pens are surely an exciting aspect of being alive but I also wish one could have the same beautiful handscripting as yours...good handwriting does justice to the passion of inks pen and good paper
I love hearing straight-out opinions, thanks. Do you also have favorites for drawing/sketching/doodling?
You’re welcome! I’ll have to think on that one, haha.
I guessed the pen and the notebook correctly. But I would NOT have guessed that ink hahaha!
I thought you would say it is one or the other RO inks :o or oxblood/ ancient copper, mayyybe. Pen also my guess was a toss up between Parker Duofold and this one 😁
Now that is beautiful handwriting....well done.
Prussian Blue is my absolute favorite blue watercolor, haven’t yet used it as an ink
Exactly. It’s got so much going for it.
I think I'm going to copy/adopt some of your shapes :)
Also I love how English speakers pronounce "Leuchtturm" haha
Thank you for this video. May have to try that notebook out. Been curious about it
Woww! That blue is amazing! 👍🏻
This is a great pen and ink combination for this notebook. Do you have any other ink suggestions? I want to minimize the ghosting as much as possible, but some additional colors would be nice.
Beautiful handwriting from a beautiful writer (NOT the pen)!
The custom 823 is my favorite pen too! It’s one I use exclusively, filled with Taccia Tsuchi ink, in a Midori MD notebook. Beautiful combination!
When I put Taccia Tsuchi in my 823, I finally felt I found the perfect ink for the pen.
Oh sounds lovely! I still have yet to try taccia inks. I need to!
I love how you love this pen and how it brings it all together. I'm also a sucker for blue blacks and look forward to getting some of this Diamine shade to try out!
Love Diamine ink - infinite varieties.
I use this pen with diamine ancient copper - the perfect combo for me. I really should try a leuchtturm.
Beautiful handwriting!
Thanks for sharing
I agree about Diamine Prussian Blue. It is the perfect blue for me too. I have not tried the ink or paper. Someday I hope to.
Could you consider putting a shining sun top right into page one too! The base of the page could slowly shade down to a darker blue. A watermark that's a palm tree leaning inward too. But, what to write? A recipe.
Breakfast.
Two poached eggs - 6.30s
Four slices of ham, folded.
Well-branded hollandaise sauce, two teaspoonful.
Two slices of 400g wholemeal bread, Lurpaked
A sprinkle of?
I am right there.. except for me: Majestic Blue! And my 823.. and my Leichturm! Well done!
Frank from Boulder
Since watching your videos, I have bought a vintage Pelican from eBay. I’ve been trying to improve my handwriting, too. Thank you so much for posting beautiful videos. 🥰❤️
Keep writing daily if possible, it will come.
this writing and this girl.
Nice review, thank you AD 🙂
I've been using the Leuchtturm1917 for the past 4 years. This year I added the Pocket size, at your suggestion. I prefer the Pocket size for travel and the larger for my daily bullet journal.
