I can understand your pain, my father had his right leg above knee amputated coz of bike vs truck accident in 2008, life becomes very difficult with prostheses.
I don't know if it's the right time to suggest this, but you may consider flight sims. It will keep you occupied with something that you already like, and in case you like it, you may stream it as well and teach the flight sim community about the procedures in real life.
