Hi David, I'm from Cape Town and am intending to visit the UK next year. Chester looks beautiful from where I'm sitting but i have no knowledge of what it's really like in practical terms. Could you perhaps guide me somewhat by elaborating on why Chester is a place to avoid now? Cheers

@@RaptorJesus. Thanks for your reassuring words 🙏 He calls Chester " horrible" but won't say why 🤷‍♂️.. When you say that Chester has always been the same, I presume you mean in a good way. It really looks like it has a bit of a special character & charm to it whenever I take a virtual walk around Chester on TH-cam. I'm busy researching flights and accommodation to come over to the UK this spring.

@@DannyK9 Sadly like many other British cities, Chester is full of homeless people sleeping rough, empty shops and struggling businesses. The walls have started to collapse in places and the council aren't repairing them, the bus station is in the wrong place and the facilities are not available after 5pm, the roads are full of potholes to name a few issues.
However, the riverside is still nice, there is an excellent zoo, there are plenty of nice cafes and pubs and is an ideal base for visiting North Wales.
You will have to come with an open mind.
