Yall were not lying about this being phenominal. Favorites - Hunter, Bachelorette, All Neon Like, Immature, Alarm Call, All Is Full of Love Least Favorite - Pluto (could see this one 100 percent growing on me)
i think it would be good do post and then debut (or vice versa) and then continue chronologically after vespertine: medulla, volta, biophilia, vulnicura, utopia, and fossora
you should listen to her 2015 album, Vulnicura! It mirrors Homogenic’s sonic palette of beats + strings, with a lot more emphasis on the strings, but with a darker tone due to the subject matter (divorce with the man that vespertine is about). Really cool, complex beats and luscious strings!
interesting to say hunter reminds you of aphex twins and i know they were friends in the 90s, and i know that bjork is a long time big fan of him so I wouldn't be surprised if he has influenced her production decisions.
I'm also really happy about how you are enjoying the songs regardless of understanding the meaning. There is music that I listened to as a kid in the 1980s that I only just began to understand the meaning of. Lyrics and meaning of songs are ephemeral - music is eternal.
Videos from this album are probably the best of Bjork, especially "Bachelorette", "All is Full of Love" (with a different, but in my opinion better mix), "Unravel", "Joga".
You have to watch the documentary where she talks about the genesis of the album and how she sampled all of the percussion sounds around Iceland. It's a gamechanger. Also her use of an all Icelandic string section.
Pluto grew on me once I saw it live. (If you want to check it out, make sure it's the one where she wears the white wing dress). You can tell she was inspired by working with Mark Bell on it
MAGDALENE and Desire, I want to turn into You are two albums that I consider to be contemporary chapters of artpop that Bjork stapled with these albums in the 90s!
This is when she was On her Way Into another Stratosphere. Debut (1993) was so Good, different in a unique Bjork kinda way. Her 2nd album, Post (1995) started reflecting her love for and incorporation of electronic , IDM and such influences that were Apparent on this album, Homogenic (1997) . IMHO,This album was The Album that Catapulted Bjork into Icon Status. The Music Videos for this album, there are several, are all things that she usually envisions in her head and translates into consumable entertainment for Us mere mortals to watch for our amusement.
mannn im weird about patreon lol i actually have a Patreon its just i dont really enjoy uploading to it. its like i like the freedom of doing whatever i want in a vid but when i KNOW a vid is suppose to be uncut i almost overthink and like dont talk as much, its weird i have been thinking about livestreaming reactions and uploading uncut streams to Patreon instead of the videos!
Btw what song was playing at the end there? It sounded like a remix of the Hack Scene from the Breath of Fire 3 soundtrack. th-cam.com/video/XnvnZS76lGM/w-d-xo.html

Donnie Boi: "Who hurt Bjork?"
Oh dear, around the time this album was made? Do you really wanna know? It's creepypasta territory.
My fav album from björk and its crazy how this released in 1997?!? She‘s amazing
LISTEN TO THE OTHER VERSION OF ALL IS FULL OF LOVE
x2
HUNTER IS ACTUALLY SO GOOOD

It was because of this album and a visit in her personnal studio that Thom Yorke did Kid A
Told ya , Also think Post should be the next one, just know that every Björk album sounds very different from each other
How was this made in the late 90's?! She was always creative and ahead of her time. Young one's really missed out on awesome music.
I see somebody praising Björk after being exposed and I subscribe let me just say that
we need a vulnicura reaction!
this album is one of the best records ever made.
agreed
Bjork hits when you've felt the crisis or state the emotion is about.
Videos from this album are probably the best of Bjork, especially "Bachelorette", "All is Full of Love" (with a different, but in my opinion better mix), "Unravel", "Joga".
Bjorkiiii❤yessssss
wake up, Donnie reacted to Björk again

OMG BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Coincidentally the aphex twins opened up for bjork in toronto for the post tour. The album that came out before this
Please check out post and debut they’re less abstract than homogenic and vespertine but both are such a good time dude, instant classics
React to Titanic Rising album because it'll makes you floating and rising from the Titanic sea 🌊
POST is for sure her best work.
well
No
Watch the video of Joga
Check out stereolab. I was lucky enough to see bjork in dallas and Austin in the mid 90s
you have to hear the other version for all is full of love
Please make a Patreon for uncut reaction videos 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I would pay so fast (especially for uncut Björk reactions)

I love Vespertine so much, but Homogenic inches out into first place for me by just a smidge.

The outro music? Rainbow Cemetery off the Castlevania SOTN soundtrack, love the game and love the music.
@@whoisdonnieboi I listened to it and yeah, Rainbow Cemetery and Hack Scene have a similar melody going on lol!
react to vulnicura 🙏🙏🙏
leggo!
I see things like Bjork in my sleep after eating too much fried food before going to bed.
might need to check the food bro
Ultraviolence- Lana Del Rey. You may expect basic pop from her but it’s a dream pop-soft rock influenced songs with shoegaze influence. A great album.
lana is a very weird person
