Yes trauma response is real but the problem for Ren was he had severe Lyme disease from a tick bite and they kept telling him is was all in his head. Prescribing psyche meds which were twisting his mind while his body was in very real agony. It's a terrifying story. He basically lived through years of extreme torture and harm until he was finally diagnosed properly and even then it was almost too late. Luckily a doctor in canada heard of his problem and donated experimental stem cell treatment and it's helped him a huge amount. He's still got a lot to deal with though. There's a lot of permanent damage.

This went on for years until he went to the right specialist after coming to realise he had a pathogen invading his body through doing his own research.

The pig was Ren's first vision in his Psychosis. He had others, often animals, but the pig was a constant. It was something that scared him at first, but then became comfortable. Something didn't feel right when it wasn't there. Ren wants people to have their own representation of what it is, so he doesn't talk about it as a specific thing or institution. I look at it as those things that we know are hurting us in the world, but yet we feel like we need them. They provide enough help in one area for us that we are willing to look past the damage they do. That could be the medical system, government, large corporations, or even an abusive person in a relationship.

I could be totally wrong because I've never seen where Ren explains it, but I always figured that the pig is from George Orwell's "animal farm", and if that doesn't mean anything to you, you should look it up because I would be terrible at giving a short version, but in it the pig represents totalitarianism and was a direct stab at Stalin. That's awesome, I haven't seen that explanation video, but it did seem to fit what he talks about. Have you ever wondered exactly WHY some ppl call law enforcement "pigs"? I'm just old - you pick up a little knowledge along the way with the years. I think Ren is getting a lot of fans from GenX and older because we are yearning for some lyrics that actually mean something real and relatable. I'm so glad Ren's blowing up, and idk if this whole Kujo thing is real or not, like, is it manufactured for the views etc?
