I'm jealous of Jim. He gets to go out into the desert and meter stuff with Mack Daddy. With that said, I do think the numbers would've probably been closer together if you had been able to test them on the same host, but there would still be one that was a clear winner. This is where you'll have to figure in length, weight, number of baffles, barrel length and action(host) to decide which may be "better". Still, seems as if the Obsidian isn't outperforming an older K baffle.
Ya know I feel kindof dumb now thinking about it. I think my Silencerco booster used the same pistons as the Rugged…I will find out and do another comparison for more accurate data. With that being said the 1911 hosts I’ve read are quiet performers even compared to more modern pistols. Same action basically,slightly different. The rugged has more back pressure than I expected. Much more debris in your eyes which makes it not favorable off the bat. I think the best it will do is tie the Tirant. That’s damn good still! I just don’t think it can be crowned the king.
